It was a visit on a Saturday night. The restaurant was almost full, and we just made it in. There were many foreign visitors in Kyoto, so it was quite interesting to see foreigners drinking wine with white rice. Thank you for the meal.

It was my first visit in a long time since the pandemic. I made a reservation by phone and requested a seat at the counter on the first floor. The restaurant was packed and there were many foreign customers. I enjoyed dishes like seared tuna, lightly boiled chicken breast with wasabi and karasumi, low-temperature cooked chicken liver, and perfectly grilled yakitori. The crispy gyoza and the parent and child bowl (egg and grilled chicken over rice) were also delicious. I heard you can also order a bowl with chicken and beef instead of just chicken. This yakitori restaurant is definitely a safe and satisfying choice.

On the first day of my trip to Kyoto, I chose a restaurant for dinner. When I called to make a reservation, they said they were fully booked but would call me if there was an opening. I waited and at 7:30 pm, a seat opened up at the counter. I started with a beer for a toast. It was delicious and very cold. The yakitori cooked in the live kitchen was all delicious, so I ordered another beer. It's a great restaurant.

This is a popular restaurant that requires reservations!! The skewers are juicy and firm, with a great charcoal aroma. The tsukune is juicy and fragrant with shiso leaves!! The heart skewer is also big and firm!! The sashimi is fresh with no unpleasant smell. Highly recommended are the sashimi, thigh skewers, heart skewers, chicken tender skewers, and green onion skewers. I definitely want to go back to this restaurant!!

The date with him in Kyoto was incredibly delicious♡ Among all the yakitori restaurants I've been to, this one was the most delicious♡ The yakitori was not dry at all, and I've never had such moist yakitori before. The chicken liver sashimi melted in my mouth, the grilled rice ball was large, and the yuzu soda was incredibly delicious that I had seconds♡ Thank you for the feast♡

I wanted to go drinking before getting on the night bus, so I wandered around looking for a good place from 9:00 PM. I found a nice-looking restaurant with long business hours, so I decided to go in. Although the prices were a bit high, once I tasted the food, I was satisfied. It was definitely tastier than other average restaurants! When I come to Kyoto Station again, I will definitely come back to this restaurant with my friends. Thank you for the meal!

I made a reservation and visited during my trip to Kyoto. The city of Kyoto has a traditional look from the outside, so I couldn't tell what kind of place it was just by looking at it from the outside. Therefore, I was hesitant to visit without a reservation and decided to book through this website. The location was easy to find using Google. They have unique yakitori dishes that are delicious.

Today, I stayed in Kyoto and had some yakitori by myself! The nearby pork BBQ restaurant was full, so I decided to visit this place instead. I thought it would be delicious just by looking at it, and it really was! I had a highball, a glass of wine, two Chita highballs, yakitori, and a smoked platter, and it cost me less than 7000 yen. There was a constant stream of customers coming in right after I entered, but I was lucky to get a seat! Many foreign travelers were also there, and I feel like Kyoto is starting to regain its liveliness. The food was delicious, so I would like to come back again! Thank you for the meal!

When I visited on a Friday night, the restaurant was almost full. As a result, the service for drinks and food felt a bit slow, but it's understandable given how busy they were. There is no time limit for seating, so you can enjoy your meal at a leisurely pace while having conversations. They seem to handle fresh chicken meat, as they even serve chicken sashimi. The fried chicken was juicy and generously sized. The grilled skewers were all delicious.

This was my first visit. It's a bit of a walk from the station, but it's a quiet and relaxing spot away from the main streets. The interior of the restaurant is stylish! It seems to be a 3-story building, as a group that arrived later was guided to the 3rd floor. The 2nd floor was reserved just for us. This time we sat at a table, but there were also semi-private seats with sunken kotatsu tables that looked nice. The 1st floor has a counter. We had chicken sashimi, vegetable sticks, seseri liver, chicken breast, umeshiso, oyster tempura, and smoked platter. We also had Uji matcha highball, orange juice, and oolong tea. Everything was incredibly delicious! I especially liked the liver skewers and the oyster tempura. I'm not a fan of boiled eggs, but the smoked quail was so delicious even I enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly, and I definitely want to come back here. Thank you for the meal!

I stopped by for a bit while waiting for the bus in front of Avanti, about a 5-minute walk from Kyoto Station. Each piece of Kyoto chicken was delicious. In addition to the usual skewers and meatballs, there was also Tofu skin-wrapped fried chicken. It seems they fry tofu skin with the batter. It was my first time trying it, but the texture and taste were great. It should be more famous. I'll stop by again if I have the chance. Oh, note to self: the grilled chicken bowl is delicious.

The high-quality Binchotan charcoal reaches temperatures close to 1000 degrees to grill the food. ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ Here are the dishes I ordered: Duck prosciutto Oyster Tempura (tofu skin tempura) Nanatani Akajidori chicken breast Nanatani Akajidori chicken thigh Special tsukune (chicken meatball) Chicken neck with green onion Kyoto-style wheat gluten skewer Camembert cheese skewer with sweet miso Thick fried tofu Chicken porridge I had seen the delicious-looking oyakodon (chicken and egg bowl) on Instagram from Tsujiya, so I decided to visit the restaurant at night. Although they have several branches in Kyoto, they are always fully booked on weekends. Luckily, I managed to slip into this branch at the last minute without a reservation. It's very popular. The restaurant was recently renovated in September and has a bright and clean atmosphere, with the yakitori grilled right in front of you at the counter. They use the special "Kyoto Nanatani Akajidori" chicken, which is raised in a space 100 times larger than usual for chickens, resulting in healthy and juicy meat with a good texture. Apparently, even top chefs like Robuchon and Canete Sans have used this chicken. The difference in the meat's texture when eating yakitori was noticeable. They use Binchotan charcoal that reaches over 1000 degrees to quickly grill the food, resulting in a crispy exterior and juicy interior. The most delicious part for me was the "thigh," so I recommend trying that first. Another unique dish not commonly found in Kanto is the Tofu Skin Tempura. They fry tofu skin as the coating, resulting in a crispy texture that is addictive. It seems this dish is only available at the Hachijo-guchi branch. Another popular dish among women is the Camembert cheese skewer with sweet miso. The Camembert cheese marinated in sweet miso and grilled is aromatic and rich. Cheese lovers will definitely enjoy this. For the finishing touch, they serve chicken porridge in a hot pot with condiments. The hot and concentrated chicken broth in the piping hot porridge will warm you up on a chilly autumn night. I left the restaurant fully satisfied and would love to visit again if I have the chance. On November 13, 2019, I came on a Wednesday night. It's my third time this month. I had fresh chicken, it was so beautiful and sweet. I could try different parts and it was amazing. I visited this place on the second day since it opened on the 11th. The interior is sophisticated and they have a wide variety of sake. As a sake lover, I was very satisfied. The staff were friendly, and all the dishes, including the chicken, were delicious. It was fun to compare different types of sake. I want to go again! I recommend trying the Uji matcha sake!

I came here after work on Friday, November 1, 2019. It is located almost in the middle between Kujo Station and Kyoto Station on the subway. Kyoto Charcoal Grilled Skewers Tsujiya Hachijo-guchi store is located along Takeda Street, between Yakiniku Hiro and Yamao Koban. The menu is extensive, everything is delicious, and the grilling area is cool, like a DJ booth. The interior of the store is very stylish, with the walls and tables being top-notch. I also like the view from both inside and outside the store. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely come again. I will enjoy every ingredient in this world with gratitude.
