Salon de Royal, famous for their pecan nut chocolate, sent me a chocolate with dried strawberries and white chocolate on top this time. There are quite a few chocolates like this on the market, with Rokkatei being a well-known brand. Personally, I find Rokkatei's yogurt-flavored one not to my taste (it's delicious, high quality, but just not my preference). But here, they use proper white chocolate! And the quality is high with a pure taste! The strawberries are also crispy! I always associated this shop with their pecan nut chocolate, but I'm happy to discover that their other chocolates are just as delicious! The chocolate is thick and large, giving it a satisfying texture. By the way, the calorie information is only provided per 100g, but each piece is 57 calories. Well, tasty things tend to be high in calories, right? I'll try to manage my intake well. They have various other types of chocolates, so I will definitely buy more in the future! For white chocolate lovers, this is a must-try!

Today, I visited the Isetan department store at Kyoto Station. I found a Salon de Royal store on the sweets floor in the basement, so I decided to stop by.
Salon de Royal is a popular shop known for its luxurious chocolates inspired by the salons of royalty. I heard that there are chocolates sold exclusively at the Isetan store, so I purchased some before heading home. I also received two complimentary pieces of their popular Pecan Nut Chocolate.
The Pecan Nut Chocolate has a crunchy texture with pecan nuts coated in white chocolate and caramel powder. It's always delicious no matter how many times you eat it!
I also tried the Melange Chocolat (Noir), which is a limited menu item at the Kyoto Isetan store. I chose the best-selling "Noir" flavor. It looked like a broken chocolate bar from the start, with a variety of nuts like cashews, walnuts, almonds, pistachios, and pecans packed inside the dark chocolate. It's a sophisticated chocolate with a cocoa flavor that adults can enjoy. I enjoyed the crunchy nutty texture when biting into it. Personally, I really liked this chocolate.

I visited in February 2019. I participate in Salon du Chocolat at Isetan Kyoto every year. This year, I braved the crowded event once again. I also checked out the renewed depachika (department store basement). I purchased a set of four heart-shaped cookies with Japanese-flavored chocolate from Salon de Royale for 700 yen. The flavors were cherry blossom, matcha, roasted soybean flour, and coffee. I think these would be perfect for Valentine's Day. Plus, they are exclusive to Isetan Kyoto. I highly recommend them.

I went to Kyoto for work and on my way back, I bought some sweets at Isetan. I brought them home and immediately enjoyed them. I had tried them before and remembered how delicious they were. The cocoa-covered nuts were piled high, and the matcha flavor was just right, not too sweet with a Japanese touch. They were still delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Salon de Royal, which opened in the renewed Isetan basement, offers the convenience of being able to purchase popular chocolates from a well-known shop individually. The cute heart-shaped biscuits come in various flavors, and you can buy just one or two of them. They cost 150 yen each (tax included). The cookies are crispy with chocolate on top, and they look adorable. Nothing to complain about!

I visited in December 2018. Salon de Royal is located on the basement floor of Kyoto Isetan, which reopened on December 5th. It is a stylish hidden gem chocolate shop near Kyoto City Hall. At the main store, you can even enjoy chocolate by the riverside. I was disappointed that there was no store near Kyoto Station, so I am happy that they opened in Isetan. I purchased two limited edition biscuit pins for 150 yen each as a commemoration of the opening at Isetan. They are heart-shaped cookies with chocolate inside. I chose pistachio and matcha flavors. I tried them at home right away. They paired well with Earl Grey tea and were elegant and delicious. I highly recommend them.

The chocolate shop at Isetan in Kyoto Station, JR Kyoto Station. Strawberry chocolate is a type of chocolate confectionery. It wraps freeze-dried strawberries in white chocolate. The perfect balance of the sweet and sourness of the crispy freeze-dried strawberries and the mellow sweetness of white chocolate. I want to say you can eat as many as you want, but there are only 6 pieces in a paper bag including individual packaging, so you can't eat them recklessly.

I happened to pass by the store and tried a sample, which was quite delicious, so I decided to buy some. It was said to be the third most popular item at this store. I have used the main store before for cakes, but this is my first time trying their chocolate products. I paid with a department store gift card. I shared it with my sister and her husband. It was not too sweet, and the pecan nuts inside were just right. As expected, Salon de Royal never disappoints.
