This trendy yakitori restaurant in Shijo-Karasuma is all the rage on Instagram! It's stylish, delicious, and great value for money. The lettuce-wrapped pork skewers are a must-try, so crunchy and satisfying! The potato salad has cornflakes in it, adding an interesting texture like a dessert. The Kyoto dialect on the glassware is super cute too. The restaurant has seating up to the 4th floor, so it's quite spacious, but be aware that there are only stairs, no elevator!

I started with the special menu of deep-fried shrimp, which I really liked and ended up eating three plates of it. I also had beer at a fast pace. For the seafood skewers, I tried the scallops with butter and soy sauce, and the oysters with garlic butter. For the vegetable skewers, I had thick shiitake mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, and asparagus. The vegetable skewers were delicious and well thought out.

On the first day of my business trip to Kyoto, I went to "Kushiyaki Manten Kyoto Shijo Karasuma" restaurant. They are known for their vegetable-wrapped skewers, but they only had about 10 varieties, haha. I ordered all the vegetable-wrapped skewers! Hmm, it wasn't enough for me, who always eats them in Hakata, the home of yakitori. You have to scan a QR code to place an order, which was a bit of a hassle for this old man.

Today, I visited the Manten Karasuma store that I had always wanted to try. The taste of the food was okay, nothing special, and overall it was just average. The recommended vegetable skewers all had the same seasoning, so I got a bit tired of it towards the end. The beer was delicious though! I might not be eager to come back next time...

I made a reservation for 6:00 pm. I assumed it was a 2-hour limit, but I couldn't find any information about it. I was eating with that in mind, but around 7:15 pm, they told us it was the last order, and around 7:30 pm, they brought the receipt saying, "It's time for you to leave." I felt like I was being kicked out after only 1.5 hours, even though it wasn't full. Also, it was quite noisy, making it hard to hear conversations, so I don't think it's suitable for those who want to have a quiet meal. The edamame appetizer had powder on it, and they told us to shake it off, but it just tasted like regular boiled edamame. I wonder what the powder was.

I visited the restaurant on the night of the Gion Festival. I forgot to take photos of the food, but the grilled Kyoto vegetables on skewers were incredibly delicious. It was a day that captivated me in the night of Kyoto. I want to visit this bar again. I was charmed by the Kyoto dialect spoken by the staff. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

This time, there were four of us dining. We sat in a semi-private room on the third floor, but the air conditioning was not good, so it was very hot even though it was summer. The employees had fans on full blast, but there were no fans for the customers, which was disappointing. The air conditioning was also not effective at all, and I noticed that other tables were using personal fans while dining. It did add to the experience of eating skewers while sweating. The creative skewers were consistently good and delicious. I wish there were more creative skewer options on the menu, but I still enjoyed the ones they had. It would be great if they had some more unique menu items. The speed of service was good, even though they were busy. However, I felt a difference in the quality of service from the staff on the third floor compared to other nearby restaurants. I think they should work on improving their customer service skills, as it can affect the reputation of the restaurant. Especially compared to the tempura restaurant across the street and the meat specialty shop next door, the difference was noticeable. The service at the first floor cashier was perfect, which made the discrepancy even more apparent.

I entered this place because I was around here for a meeting in the rain. It's a stylish yakitori restaurant. The lettuce wraps and negi rolls were delicious. The other dishes were also quite good. The edamame with consomme granules sprinkled on top had a nice seasoning. The location is good and convenient, but there was nothing particularly outstanding. Overall, it's about average.

I was looking for an izakaya near the hotel and decided to visit this one based on the good reviews and ratings. I was able to make a last-minute reservation and got the last available seat! The restaurant was almost full and very lively. I was happy to use a coupon for a free first glass of beer (lol). The food was delicious, especially the grilled skewers which made me very happy. Personally, I liked the meat-wrapped tomato the best (lol). The prices were reasonable and I left very satisfied. I would love to visit again if I'm in the area. Thank you for the meal!

Toast with the new team members and enjoy an early cheers. As the days get longer, savor a bright Puha while commenting on the change in season. Try something different like a matcha beer, with its green foam adding a fun twist. The carbonation complements the slight bitterness of the matcha, making it quite enjoyable. Looking at the label, it's revealed to be made by Ujigawa Yellow Cherry Blossom. Snack on edamame and grilled skewers, finishing off with a frozen strawberry and vanilla ice cream fruit sour-like drink.

Kyoto is bustling with tourists, and you can't have dinner without a reservation. Kushiage Manten is known for their vegetable skewers, but everything on the menu is delicious! Some popular items include: - Rice with small fish in a pot: 440 yen - Vegetable wrapped in lettuce with salt sauce and Kujyo green onion cheese: 352 yen for one - Grilled vegetables with large green onions and sweet miso: 286 yen for one - Grilled shrimp with salt: 363 yen for one - Grilled chicken thighs: 418 yen for two - Tsukune (chicken meatballs): 506 yen for two - Oysters with garlic butter: 418 yen - Seafood ajillo in a pot with 3 baguettes: 869 yen Not only is the chicken delicious, but the seafood dishes are also amazing! The staff's friendly service is pleasant. Ordering is easy as you can scan the barcode and place your order on your own smartphone. Plus, the food comes out quickly! As we were leaving, several groups were waiting. It's a popular restaurant, but definitely worth it. Thank you for the meal!

The taste was very delicious. I ordered all the skewers recommended and also tried some vegetable dishes. The flavors were really good, but I was surprised when I realized the bill was over 9000 yen. It can quickly get expensive, so I recommend being mindful of the prices when ordering (lol). Also, I didn't realize there was a student discount until after I placed my order, so it's better to be aware of that before ordering if you plan to use it.

The restaurant is located behind Daimaru in Kyoto, and although there is a parking lot nearby, it is difficult to find a spot, making it inconvenient to go by car. However, the shop itself has a nice atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious food, and good value for money. There is a wide variety of skewers available, making it a place where everyone can enjoy. I had a great time and will definitely visit again.

A few years ago, when I visited a store in Pontocho, I was so impressed by the deliciousness of the lettuce rolls in the photo that I couldn't forget it. I really wanted to eat it again, so this time I visited the store in Karasuma. The lettuce rolls are so delicious that I want to go back just to eat them. I highly recommend it.

Grilled Skewers Manten: Kyoto, Karasuma. As the name suggests, it's top-notch!!! A stylish yakitori restaurant, Manten. It's located on the second floor of a building, which is very fashionable. In addition to the usual chicken skewers, they offer creative skewers with plenty of vegetables. My photos may not do it justice, but you can really enjoy colorful skewers here! They also have a variety of side dishes, from appetizers to dashimaki served on a hot plate. The flavors are also varied. Perfect for a girls' night out or a date! Be sure to check it out!

I walked a little from Shijo Kawaramachi, and there was a restaurant. I made a reservation for 19:00. Many people were gathered at the entrance, probably customers of this restaurant. It looked very lively and fun. Inside, it was even more lively. A young waiter guided us, I think it was on the 4th floor. I wondered how many floors the building had. Every floor was overflowing with customers. It was very popular. We sat down at our table and ordered through a mobile app. There were various types of grilled skewers that all looked delicious. We ate a lot... I ended up ordering too much, spending over 10,000 yen for two people. Maybe we ate too much... Well, I don't think so, but... The food was delicious, but it's easy to spend over 10,000 yen if you get carried away, so it's better to fill up a bit or go to a second place. The skewers are small, so you can eat them quickly! The taste was great, so I want to go back again♪

The creative skewers are really delicious and fashionable! Especially the lettuce rolls and thick mushroom skewers are incredibly tasty! You can only eat them here! The drinks, including cocktails, beer, and a variety of original non-alcoholic cocktails, are plentiful and make for a fun and lively atmosphere!

I was told that reservations were required, so I made a reservation and visited. It was still empty around 6:00 PM, but by 8:00 PM it was full and bustling. The cost performance is not the best, but everything was delicious and satisfying! The edamame appetizer was 330 yen per person.

I visited for the first time and was drawn in by the lunch menu which included a drink for around 1500 yen, and decided to have a draft beer. The interior of the restaurant had a Kyoto-like wooden atmosphere which was very soothing, and the grilled Kyoto vegetables that came with the meat were delicious! The Kyoto eggplant, bell peppers, and onions made me feel the essence of Kyoto. It was also nice to hear the thick Kansai dialect from the customers next to me!
