I visited the hand-made soba restaurant Kitamura on a Monday afternoon. I ordered the soba set and oyakodon. The egg and chicken in the oyakodon were really delicious. The meat was firm and had a satisfying texture. The soba noodles were thin and had a great mouthfeel. I would like to come back to eat again. Thank you for the meal.

It was Saturday lunchtime, but I was able to enter without any waiting time. I was planning to have hand-made soba, but the parent and child bowl (with mini soba) on the menu looked delicious, so I ordered that instead. The bowl that arrived shortly after had a hot spring egg on top, which whetted my appetite. When ordering, there was a note that the soba that comes with it is not hand-made soba, but as a side menu, it was tasty enough. The eggs in the parent and child bowl are made from locally raised free-range eggs. I also buy eggs often, but the difference between supermarket eggs and these eggs is immediately noticeable. The chicken was also cooked deliciously. I finished it in no time. Thank you for the meal.

When I went on a tour to the beautiful mountains, I visited a local diner. I had a delicious oyakodon made with local eggs and chicken, served with a side of small soba noodles. The combination of egg, chicken, and rice was perfect! The half-cooked egg was just right. The soba noodles were also light and tasty. Having hot oyakodon on a hot day is the best!

I visited Meiyama no Sato and stopped by the restaurant next to the parking lot. I had some soba noodles, which were delicious, especially on such a hot day. The cold soba was very refreshing. Self-service cold water and tea were available, which was convenient.

I had some free time and decided to go on a solo mini-tour. I parked my bike at the parking lot near the beautiful Kayabuki village in Miyama and went for a walk. I found a soba noodle restaurant nearby. The soba noodles were thin and flavorful, very delicious. The tempura was a bit oily. The restaurant had a traditional countryside atmosphere which was very calming. I also bought some soba noodles as a souvenir.

I went to visit the Kayabuki Village by bicycle and stopped to have a meal before heading back. I had a parent and child rice bowl with mini soba. The presentation was nice, but the taste was just average. It cost 1050 yen, so I guess it's okay for that price. The mini soba didn't leave much of an impression either.

Solo touring to a thatched roof village. For lunch, I had mackerel soba (1100 yen). The soba noodles were quite thin, and the mackerel was seasoned similarly to the herring in herring soba. It was quite delicious. I unexpectedly had a delicious lunch. Thank you for the meal.

I visited this restaurant before the second season of beautiful snow in Miyama this year. The location is perfect, overlooking the thatched village across the Kurama Highway. I ordered the Kyoto Jidori chicken and egg bowl and hand-made soba using Miyama buckwheat flour. Both dishes were delicious, made with ingredients from the abundant nature of the village. The "shiba-zuke" pickles that came with the chicken and egg bowl were amazing, and I found out they were homemade. I bought two bags of them at the souvenir shop "Kayano Sato" next door before heading home. Although it's in Kyoto Prefecture, it's close to Fukui Prefecture with high altitude, so be careful during the winter. I'll definitely come back for a casual drive in the spring.

I hate washing my car, even though I like cleaning my house. My car is always a mess, and I've only washed it twice in the four months since I bought it. But today, I decided to visit the beautiful thatched roof village in Miyama Town and then clean my car on the way back. I went to a local eatery and tried their delicious soba noodles. The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere and I enjoyed the thin and tasty soba noodles. I also bought some soba noodles and a local sweet called tochimochi as souvenirs. After my meal, I visited a nearby shrine and enjoyed the autumn leaves before finally washing my car, which I always leave as the last thing to do on my trips.

This time, when I went on a touring trip to Miyama, I visited this shop that caught my attention. It was around 11:30 am, so it was quite crowded and I had to wait for about 20 minutes before getting a table. I ordered the soba noodles and a mini oyakodon! The dishes arrived in about 10 minutes. The soba noodles were thinly cut and had a nice texture, very delicious! The broth was not too strong, so you could enjoy the aroma of the buckwheat noodles! The wasabi that came with it was of good quality, providing a nice balance of spiciness and umami! The eggs in the oyakodon were made with Miyama eggs, and they tasted great with the broth! The soba soup was thick and tasty! It can get quite crowded due to being a popular tourist spot, but if you come to Chayabuki no Sato, this is a must-try dish! Thank you for the meal!

I went on a weekend in October. It was past 2 PM but there were still a few people waiting. I waited for about 20 minutes and was seated on the terrace. You can eat with your pet here. I ordered the set of mori soba and egg rice, and the tori nanba soba. The thin noodles are easy to eat when lightly dipped in the sauce. The sauce is not too strong, typical of the Kansai region. The tori nanba soba had flavorful chicken meat and was very delicious. The egg rice was light and tasty. It was worth the wait as the food was really delicious.

I went to Miyama Kayabuki no Sato, the purpose was to visit this soba restaurant and explore the Kayabuki village. It was a very hot day and the cold soba was delicious. The mini tamagodon with sweet broth was also delicious. It was a nice outing in a quaint area. Thank you for the meal!

A restaurant located in Miyama's "Thatched Roof Village". It is one of the few places in the village that serves proper meals, so it gets very busy during lunchtime. We had to write our names on a waiting board and waited for about 10 minutes before being seated. The large windows offer a view of the thatched roof houses, creating a charming atmosphere. I ordered the popular Mori Soba for 840 yen plus a mini Tamago Don for 320 yen. The soba noodles are made from locally harvested buckwheat flour, offering a unique flavor and a pleasant texture. The Tamago Don was also delicious! I also tried the Venison Shigureni for 430 yen (a la carte). The venison had a firm texture, while the burdock root was soft. Personally, this dish wasn't to my liking. If you ever visit Miyama, be sure to stop by this restaurant for a meal. Thank you for the delicious food! ★

I thought about having lunch at the Kayabuki Village, but couldn't find any promising restaurants, so I ended up eating at this place where there was a line. While waiting, the air-conditioned waiting area was comfortable. It was a hot day, so I ordered cold soba noodles. I wasn't expecting much since it's a tourist spot, but it was surprisingly delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I visited this restaurant because it had good reviews on Tabelog. In the past, parking was free, but this time they charged ¥200 for motorcycles and ¥500 for cars. They also had a paid parking space for Kitamura-san. Even if you just want to eat, you will have to pay for parking. The mini oyakodon with soba set costs ¥980 and the mori soba with mini tamago don costs ¥1130, but you have to add ¥200 for parking, making it ¥1180 and ¥1330 respectively. The oyakodon was delicious with local chicken. The mini soba was really small. The mori soba was too thin and lacked firmness. If asked about returning, I would say maybe if the timing is right.

On Sunday, I went to the Kayabuki no Sato in Kyoto and had soba for lunch. We arrived late, so we kept it light for dinner (*≧∀≦*) I had a simple soba with just toppings. My wife had the one with mackerel on top. No tempura or rice bowl, just simple soba noodles (///∇///) I was a bit Tarantino at about 60% full, but I endured it~(*≧∀≦*) It was delicious (^o^)v Thank you for the meal~o(^o^)o

I had the Kyoto Jidori chicken and egg bowl for takeout at the Miyama Kayabuki no Sato restaurant "Okidamuraya." The chewy chicken with the raw egg yolk was incredibly delicious. I usually have soba noodles, but since they were only offering takeout, I tried the chicken and egg bowl and it was really good. Yesterday, I was able to see the Miyama Kayabuki no Sato annual water release training, which was great.

Miyama Kayabuki no Sato. Today, I had a business trip massage in Nantan City, and on the way back, I extended my trip to Miyama. I visited Miyama Kayabuki no Sato, which I had been wanting to see. I found a very delicious soba restaurant in the parking lot. The soba had thin noodles and a rich aroma, and it was very tasty. I had the "mackerel soba," which was delicious! It might be a remnant of the mackerel highway? It was so good! It's the best for soba lovers. The soba flowers were also blooming beautifully.

Handmade soba, Mori soba, Jitok tori seiro, Soba sanmai, and Saba soba are the only four types available (there are other items on the menu). Jitok tori seiro - 1,000 yen The soba noodles are thin and handmade, so there is some variation in thickness. The broth is rich and flavorful, and the chicken is chewy and bouncy. It doesn't have a strong aroma, almost tasteless and odorless. Easy to eat because it's soba. It feels delicious to eat here. Miyama Jitok tori karaage - 800 yen Salt-flavored karaage similar to Tatsutaage. Juicy and chewy, takes a little time to chew but very tasty. Enjoy a cozy atmosphere.

On this day, the weather was bad, so I had a hard time deciding where to go. Also, there was a snow forecast in Niigata three days later, so I had to go back before that just in case. After much consideration, I chose to visit "Miyan Kaya Village" because I like this kind of atmosphere. I hadn't had breakfast, so I decided to eat first before exploring. I found this shop right near the parking lot! Looking at the menu in front of the shop... I had soba for dinner the day before, but oh well. I entered the shop and sat by the window. You can see "Miyan Kaya Village" from the seat, creating a nice atmosphere. I ordered: - Mori Soba (840 yen) - Kibi rice (270 yen if ordered with soba) The soba is hand-cut soba. The cold soba is hand-cut, and the warm soba is different, as explained by the shop staff. I chose the hand-cut soba, but the other lady customers were saying they prefer warm soba because it's cold. The soba is made from fresh Miyan-sourced soba. It is neatly cut and has a smooth texture. The scent of the soba is a bit weak, but the texture was to my liking. The soba came with a small side dish. The simmered dish was well-seasoned and delicious. Along with pickles, there was also kyarabuki, which I usually don't like, but this one was good. Kibi rice looks good for your health. I had it with the simmered dish and pickles. After paying, I was informed that there is a cafe inside Kaya Village, so I decided to check it out later as a post-exploration treat.
