An izakaya run by an elderly couple. The lovely couple always have smiles on their faces, which makes you feel warm inside. The restaurant is called "Nametoyo" and offers a fairly wide range of menu items. Their bonito sashimi is so good that you can't see the bottom of the plate! The oden is rich in flavor. It's a hidden gem of a late-night dining spot.

It's just like a late-night diner. Tucked away in a building with a hidden alley-like entrance, it's actually open until 3 am. The menu is extensive, with signs posted about the shop and geisha performers. The flavors that have been a part of this city for a long time as a popular spot for post-work professional meals are evident in both the dishes and the atmosphere, making for a cheerful late-night meal.

All the food was delicious! The cigarette smoke was a bit tough, but oh well! I was moved by the hospitality. Only managed to take a picture of the appetizer.
