"Have dinner at 'Den Shichi Sushi Saiin' - a perfect place to enjoy seafood appetizers, drink Japanese sake, and nibble on sushi. The prices are reasonable. For starters, try the sashimi of cold yellowtail, Yoko wa (a type of fish) tataki, large oyster fry, and grilled hamachi collar. The cold yellowtail has just the right amount of fat and pairs well with sake. Yoko wa tataki is flavorful and goes well with ponzu sauce or garlic. The large oyster fry, although served on a skewer, is full of flavor and goes well with lemon and tartar sauce. The grilled hamachi collar is a great deal for its taste and portion size at only 480 yen. For nigiri sushi, they offer various options like small fish, salmon roe, striped jack, ark shell, whelk, sea urchin, salmon roe, octopus, eel, conger eel, shrimp, tuna, and fatty tuna. Finish off with tamago (sweet omelette). With a wide selection and good quality at this price range, you'll be satisfied with the sushi here."

I went to the slots for the first time in a while and won, so I decided to treat myself to sushi at "Den Shichi Sushi Saiin Store." I started with a bottle of beer to quench my thirst while waiting for the assorted sashimi platter to arrive, and then ordered some sake. The assorted sashimi platter included squid, bonito, amberjack, sea bream, and shellfish (I forgot the exact types), all fresh and delicious, pairing well with the sake. The vinegar crab dish was luxurious with plenty of crab, but the shells were not completely removed and the meat was a bit dry. The grilled turban shell was still delicious as always, making it hard to stop eating and drinking sake. I enjoyed slowly eating the dishes and savoring the sake. Finally, I had some sushi, including turban shell, eel, ark shell, striped jack, octopus, sea urchin, salmon roe, shrimp, eel, and egg. I left feeling satisfied and happy with the variety and affordability of the restaurant.

I visited after a long time. I noticed they have added a variety of dishes like grilled items in addition to sushi on their menu. It has become a place where you can enjoy a quick drink with your meal. The sushi was delicious as always. I enjoyed a set of kushikatsu and sushi with warm sake.

The quality for around 1000 yen is great! The nigiri sushi set of 10 pieces for 1188 yen includes high-priced toppings like scallop, eel, and sea bream. The toppings are thick and satisfying to eat. It comes with miso soup which is a nice touch. The set includes tuna, squid, yellowtail, salmon, scallop, egg, sea bream, shrimp, octopus, eel, and conger eel pressed sushi. The wasabi might be a bit strong overall. I used a 1000 yen Kyoto support coupon, arrived on Saturday at 1:30 PM, and there was no wait. I feel like in Tokyo, you wouldn't be able to get this quality for 1000 yen.

The appetizers were boiled kogori, sashimi with negitoro, and hamo oshoshi. They were delicious and paired well with the sake. We also had red snapper soup, smelt tempura, and sushi. Each sushi, like yellowtail, scallop with soy sauce, live shrimp, and mackerel, was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

There is a shop located a short walk west from Hankyu Nishi Iin Station. It seems to be popular among locals. I was seated at the counter and ordered a lunch sushi set. The interior of the shop is spacious with about four chefs working in the kitchen. The set included salmon, sea bream, egg, tuna, shrimp, squid, and red miso soup for 680 yen. The red miso soup was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I recently used "Den Shichi Sushi" for lunch. It has been so long since I last visited for dinner that I can't even remember. The menu is still extensive and the atmosphere is comfortable as always. Let's start with the appetizers. - Live horse mackerel sashimi presented in a decorative style. The mackerel has a deep and delicious flavor. - Scallop fry with tartar sauce. It looks like a skewered cutlet, but tastes really good with the tartar sauce. - Today's grilled fish collar. Today it was sea bream. It's a bit small, but the taste is delicious and goes well with sake. - Sauteed turban shell. A classic dish that goes perfectly with sake. - Sushi assortment: tuna, blackthroat sea perch marinated in kelp, ark shell, small skin shrimp, sea urchin, salmon roe, eel, fatty tuna, and homemade egg custard. All of them were delicious without any complaints, and the service was good. The prices are reasonable, making it a convenient choice for a sushi restaurant. I will definitely go back.

At lunch, I visited "Den Shichi Sushi" for the first time and was surprised by the variety of menu options. Tomorrow is the midsummer day of the ox, so I was tempted by the eel bowl, but at 1090 yen, it seemed too cheap and I wanted to try domestically sourced eel even if it was a bit more expensive, so I decided to pass on it this time. I ordered the sushi set with 12 pieces for 1280 yen (excluding tax). The sushi included squid, sea bream, tuna, sweet shrimp, shrimp, salmon, scallop, clam, egg, octopus, eel, and two rolls, with red miso soup on the side. The sushi was decent, not outstanding, but the rice was a bit dry. I've always liked Den Shichi for being affordable, tasty, and having good service, but I've noticed that their lunch offerings can sometimes be a bit lacking compared to dinner. Still, I left feeling full and satisfied.

I had a great meal at "Den Shichi Sushi" with a full course of dishes and finished off with sushi. I particularly wanted to try the thinly sliced filefish, which was delicious when mixed with liver and grated radish. I ended up drinking a lot of sake because it was so good! It can be dangerous. (They also provide filefish bone crackers halfway through.) Even though I ate my fill of sushi, the bill didn't exceed 10,000 yen. It was a bit more expensive this time because I drank a lot, but it's usually not like that. Just be aware that there are some loud people, including older folks and young people, so it's not a high-class atmosphere. As long as you're okay with that, it's a good restaurant to visit.

Just west of Nishinomiya Station on the Hankyu Kyoto Line, this lively sushi restaurant is a great spot to enjoy delicious food and drinks. We ordered uzaku, ken-saki ika & yokowa, and chawanmushi. They have a variety of local sake available as well. The uzaku had plenty of eel and was delicious. The sashimi, chawanmushi, and additional aged fried fu were also tasty! The nigiri sushi included ark shell, kohada, ikura, and dancing fish. A great place to enjoy tasty fish dishes and drinks in a casual atmosphere! Thank you for the meal.

I went out for lunch. I was supposed to be there until 2:00, but I didn't check the sign and entered the restaurant, it was already past 2:00, but they still took my order. Thank you for your consideration. From now on, I will make sure to check the business hours before entering. I ordered the mini chirashi set with kushikatsu, which I believe was around 1000 yen. I was happy to be able to eat kushikatsu from Kushihachi, which I thought was only available at night, for lunch. The chirashi sushi had a lot of toppings and was delicious.

I was finally able to relax and enjoy my meal slowly. It was a shame that I couldn't eat slowly at the sushi restaurant, but finally. I started with a draft beer. I ordered Shimesaba as an appetizer. I switched from beer to shochu, and ordered uni, which had a rich taste. When I ate it wrapped in seaweed, my mouth felt like the ocean. As for the seasonal dish, I had Dobinmushi. The aroma of matsutake mushrooms was irresistible. For the finale, I couldn't miss the eel nigiri. The Kawahagi with liver topping was followed by Tamago, and it was a feast. Thank you for the meal.

I went there for the first time! There are not many affordable sushi restaurants in Saiin, so I decided to try one for the first time! It was a Sunday and the restaurant was a bit crowded! I was really surprised that it took over 10 minutes for each sushi to come out. Even though it was busy, I was shocked at how long it took! And when the sushi came out, the rice fell apart easily when picked up with chopsticks. I have never been to a sushi restaurant where the rice falls apart so easily before, so I was surprised! I also ordered seared medium fatty tuna, but it came out raw, so I asked them to sear it, but it took about 15 minutes for it to come back. Does it really take 15 minutes to sear it? I heard this was a good sushi restaurant from a friend, but I was a little disappointed...

When I was young, my family often went to Fushichi for sushi. Fushichi and Kushihachi, known for their skewered cutlets, have the same founder, and some locations allow you to order sushi and skewers at the same time. They offer reasonably priced lunches around 1,000 yen with sushi and rice bowls, and their dinner menu is also affordable. It's a short walk from Nishioji Station, about 1-2 minutes. They serve sushi made by skilled chefs at the counter, rather than conveyor belt sushi. While conveyor belt sushi and supermarket sushi have improved in taste, the handcrafted touch of the chefs at Fushichi is unbeatable. Despite ordering sushi, sashimi, and side dishes, the bill can still come out to around 3,000 yen per person. It's great to have restaurants like this around.

I searched on Tabelog for a place where I could have lunch and there was parking available. I thought I was lucky to find a place with a partnership parking lot, but when I entered the coin parking, I realized that they didn't serve lunch after all. It was a bit of a shock, but the parking fee was really cheap at 100 yen for 20 minutes, so I decided to make the most of it and explore the area around Nishiin Station. For 300 yen, I had an hour to spare and it was worth it. The lunch options included sushi, seafood bowls, and chirashi. My husband had a mini chirashi and kushikatsu (980 yen extra), while I had a mini seafood bowl and mini soba (880 yen extra). The sushi was fresh and the rice was just right. The kushikatsu was hot and crispy, with a variety of ingredients. The only downside was that the mini bowls were a bit small, so you might want to consider ordering a regular size or trying different combinations. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. They had alcohol disinfection at the entrance and acrylic panels, but I didn't check the ventilation system. The staff were diligent in cleaning up, which left a good impression.

I went to Den Shichi Sushi Nishin store in Saiin. I had the Mini Seafood Bowl with Soba for 880 yen. It was a Saturday lunch and the restaurant was about 60% full. The food was not outstanding but it was delicious and satisfying. The price of 880 yen for the seafood bowl and soba was reasonable.

A cost-effective sushi restaurant that I have been going to for over 10 years. They greet me with a drink as soon as I walk in, and the atmosphere is lively and inviting. The presentation and sushi-making style vary depending on the chef. However, it's really disappointing that many customers leave the restroom door wide open when they exit.

Den Shichi, a sushi restaurant operated by the popular kushikatsu chain Kushihachi, is located in Shiraume-cho, Kitano, and has been a favorite spot of mine for over 20 years. When it comes to sushi, it's all about the quality of the ingredients. Personally, I believe that there is no room for lower-end establishments to compete with high-end sushi restaurants. However, despite this, there are still many conveyor belt sushi and other casual dining options available, which I think is a testament to the fact that there are many sushi lovers out there and also reflects the efforts of the restaurant owners. In Kyoto, if you're looking for a relatively affordable place to enjoy appetizers and sushi, I highly recommend Den Shichi. Their dishes always have a unique twist, like using a refreshing vinegar sauce for the shime saba or adding mushrooms and dashi to the grilled sazae, which you might not find at a high-end sushi restaurant. While their selection of seasonal nigiri may not be as extensive as before, I still think that their commitment to sourcing fresh ingredients from various markets is commendable. If you're someone who loves to indulge in a variety of dishes and easily spend over 10,000 yen, then I believe Den Shichi deserves a spot in the Kansai casual sushi restaurant rankings. Even if they don't win in the end, I still highly recommend it!

Sushi is something that I don't usually eat, but I always feel anxious if I don't have it for a while (laughs). Tonight, I went to Sushi Den Shichi in Saiin. The entrance had a heavy noren curtain hanging on a wooden door, making me wonder if everything on the menu was market price... But when I opened the door, I was warmly welcomed with a smile (laughs). The counter was divided by acrylic boards for proper COVID-19 measures. The prices were reasonable and you could order individual pieces, so you can enjoy a variety of options. The sushi rice was just right, not too vinegary, which I liked. The chawanmushi was rich in flavor with plenty of ingredients, making me question what I had eaten before (laughs). The eel was soft and sweet, and at only 200 yen per piece, it was a great deal. I had to order another one! (laughs) The raw sweet shrimp was like a jumbo version of sweet shrimp, but even sweeter, truly recommended. If you want to enjoy authentic sushi in Saiin at a reasonable price, this is the place to go! However, as mentioned in reviews, it might be difficult to get a reservation on normal days. Thank you for the delicious meal. I will definitely visit again when I'm in the area.

Sushi and nigiri sushi are not good at all without any special touch, and the revolving sushi restaurants are better. The kushikatsu is decent. The overall atmosphere is nice. For example, if you are over 60 years old, you might be okay with this kind of vibe. It's better than cheap supermarket sushi. It seems like the focus is on small dishes rather than sushi. The place is always busy with customers.
