Everyone knows this beef bowl restaurant. The morning set meal is also affordable and delicious. There is a parking lot in front of the store. This time, I had the Ham and Egg Natto set meal, which includes ham, egg, and natto. It also comes with a salad. The classic breakfast of ham and eggs was delicious, especially with a little soy sauce on the rice. The salad was tasty as well, and the natto was a standard addition. This kind of breakfast could be eaten every day without getting tired of it. The natto rice, salad, and ham and eggs provide a good balance of nutrients.

I stayed in Maizuru and used it for breakfast. There weren't many breakfast options in Nishi-Maizuru, so the reliable Yoshinoya was a good choice. I couldn't decide on the breakfast set, so I ordered the basic beef bowl. I sprinkled red pickled ginger and shichimi pepper at the self-service condiment corner and enjoyed my meal at the table. It was delicious and I had no issues finishing it.

I stayed at a hotel without breakfast, so I used this place for breakfast. There were no other shops open early in this area, so it was very convenient. The menu is the typical Yoshinoya menu, so you can eat with peace of mind.

I went to Yoshinoya for the first time in a while. I ordered a regular beef bowl with a raw egg, a classic Yoshigyu dish, so I didn't pour too much broth over it. The taste was the usual beef bowl. I was happy that the beef slices were large, but I got carried away and ended up with just rice soaked in broth at the end. I need to eat more carefully. The egg helped blend everything together smoothly.

Twelfth business trip to Maizuru!! Unfortunately, it's raining from the afternoon today (>_<) I already had a beer at the hotel, so when I told my colleague, "It's raining today, let's go to a nearby restaurant," he said, "Hmm, maybe Yoshigyu." (#/__)/ Doh Well, he doesn't drink alcohol, so it's understandable. I wanted to go to a yakitori restaurant, but oh well, I'll visit around 6 pm. I open the door and sit at a table. There is also a drive-thru here, and quite a few people were coming to buy. When I asked the waitress, "Do you have draft beer?" she said, "Yes." So I ordered a draft beer. It took a while to come, maybe because not many people order it. Finally, the draft beer arrives, and I say, "Cheers to the rainy Maizuru~!!" Delicious!! My colleague ordered the Kalbi grilled set, and I ordered the Beef Sukiyaki Meal (690 yen)! I love Yoshigyu's beef sukiyaki. It's not as fast as a beef bowl, but it was served in about 5 minutes. "Here you go," they said. Oh, it's bubbling~ Looks delicious (^o^)／ I mix in the egg and enjoy it!! It's so tasty!! I have it as a side with my beer. Suddenly, I notice the rice and think, "There's a lot of rice (^^;)" Can I eat it all? I ask my colleague, "Do you want some rice?" but he quickly says, "No need!" Alright, I'll do my best to finish it!! I pile the meat on top of the rice and add some pickled ginger to make it through the meal~!! Finished it~!! Thank you for the meal~!! Once again, I'm too full to go for ramen tonight (>_<) The guy next to me ordered "Beef Sukiyaki Meal with double meat and extra rice!" Young people are amazing~(^o^)／

I enjoyed the gyudon meal. It had a slightly sweet and rich flavor.

On January 2, 2014, I used it for lunch during a business trip. In the countryside, all the food shops are closed during the New Year's holidays. It's difficult to find a place to have lunch. At times like this, chain restaurants are a strong ally. There was also one in Nishi-Maizuru. Right near the station is the Yoshinoya Nishi-Maizuru store, open 24 hours a day, year-round. I had the Gyudon (beef bowl) with leeks, large size for 540 yen. That familiar Yoshinoya taste, with the leeks adding a nice touch and the egg giving it a creamy texture, my favorite flavor. However, even with the large size, the sauce was just average, and the white part of the rice was more noticeable. It might have been tastier if I had ordered extra sauce. But for someone like me who was traveling far from home during the New Year, it was a much-appreciated option.

I got off at Nishimaizuru Station, went out to Route 27, and it's on the right side just north. The parking lot is spacious, making it convenient for those who come by car. The interior of the restaurant was bright and the staff were efficient and friendly. The menu mainly consisted of rice bowls with beef, pork, and chicken. I didn't have much time for lunch this time, so I ordered a beef bowl while keeping an eye on the time. The dish was served quickly, making it a convenient place to eat when you don't have much time.

It's been a while since I had Yoshinoya. I suddenly had a craving for it and since I had some free time, I decided to go. I ordered the beef bowl special, raw egg, pickled vegetables, and miso soup full course, of course. It's still delicious. Making a hole in the middle of the beef bowl, pouring in the egg, and adding plenty of shichimi and pickled ginger! That's the way to go! But compared to the past, the menu has expanded. Having more choices is a good thing, but for someone like me who orders the same thing every time, it feels like the wait for the order to come out is longer. I feel like the old Yoshinoya with just the beef bowl was better for me.
