I visited the restaurant during lunch time on Friday, December 16, 2022, and the crowd inside was about 30%. By the time I finished eating, it was around 50%, with many municipal office workers present. I ordered the daily special set meal, which arrived in about 5 minutes, surprisingly fast for a set meal. The mapo tofu had a Japanese twist to its flavor, while the miso-stewed mackerel was slightly spicy, but it made the rice go down smoothly. Overall, I was satisfied with the taste.

I was invited by a former boss who had once guided me in various ways, to visit this place after several years. I had no idea such a restaurant existed here... The space was spacious and relaxing, with a very comfortable atmosphere. It seemed to be a favorite spot for the boss who invited me, and we had a course meal that started with "fried ginkgo nuts" and then moved on to a surprising dish of "shrimp sushi with sea urchin rice cakes". We also had dishes like "eel" and "crab", delicious sashimi, and even "yellowtail with daikon radish". There were a few more dishes, but overall, it was a parade of elegant and authentic Japanese cuisine! Every dish was carefully seasoned and finished, and I was completely satisfied. Wow, this "Japanese restaurant" is really fantastic! It seems like a place where you can casually stop by at the counter for some izakaya-style dining, so I definitely want to visit again.

All the dishes were delicious! Especially, the conger eel and eel rolls were outstanding. The way the sashimi was sliced was satisfyingly thick. We opted for the chef's choice course and the portion was just right. The ambiance of the restaurant was also great, and I definitely want to go back again!

I am always impressed by the Japanese cuisine here. The ingredients have been changed in the past few days, but I still enjoy the food without getting tired of it. The taste is not one-dimensional, thanks to the solid skills in Japanese cuisine. It's a very versatile restaurant where you can bring someone along, sit at the counter alone, or have a lively gathering with friends.

Every time I visit this place, I can't help but wonder why the rating isn't higher. It's a wonderful restaurant. The head chef seems to have trained at a famous traditional Japanese restaurant, and the dishes, mostly Japanese cuisine, are full of creativity with excellent ingredients and flavors. On this day, they used spring ingredients like rapeseed blossoms, firefly squid, bamboo shoots, and new seaweed. I particularly enjoyed the horse mackerel with grated daikon radish seasoned with ginger and dashi. It was delicious! The meal ended with curry udon, which was consistently tasty as always.

During the peak season of autumn leaves, Kyoto is extremely crowded. The city center is so congested that even taxis avoid it, so we decided to have dinner a bit further away. That night, we opted for a course with all-you-can-drink option. The appetizers were delicious, especially the kombu-marinated sea bream sushi. The seared yellowtail was served with Orion slices and grated daikon radish with ponzu sauce, a clever and tasty combination that even those who don't like yellowtail enjoyed. The grilled mackerel was the fish dish of the night, consistently delicious. The main dish was oysters grilled in foil. We ended the meal with horse mackerel rolled sushi. Although the ratings may not be high, it is a delicious restaurant. We will definitely visit again.

I used it for my father's 60th birthday celebration. Since coming to Kyoto, I have visited various restaurants, but for a special day like this, this is the place. We indulged in the omakase course at a slightly luxurious price. Everything was delicious! Everything was luxurious! The presentation was also top-notch! Tonight, I am completely satisfied.

This is also my first post for this shop, but I have visited several times. I always enjoy delicious dishes here. Today's appetizer is rapeseed flowers and firefly squid. It's nice to be able to feel the season through the appetizers and dishes at such shops. The taste is definitely outstanding no matter which dish you choose.

I visited this restaurant for lunch after a long time, as I had a delicious fried fish dish (I forgot the type of fish) there about 3 years ago. The lunch menu has been changed since January 2017. I ordered the "SUGIZEN Gozen" for 1,667 yen, which included a plate of seasonal ingredients, tea soba, bara sushi, and dessert. The fish was still fresh and all of them were delicious! The eggplant dish was also excellent with a perfect sweet and savory flavor. The fried fish was crispy and not greasy, just like I remembered from three years ago. The owner and the young female staff were very attentive and friendly. I think this restaurant deserves even more praise compared to other places with bad food and service but good reviews. They seem to be particular about the origin of their ingredients, so the prices are a bit high, but I would definitely like to visit again. I haven't been there for dinner, but they have a wide variety of drinks, so I think it would be recommended for dinner as well.

During a break from work, I decided to wander around and find a place for lunch. I stumbled upon a restaurant that looked nice and decided to go in. It was lunchtime and the place was packed with office workers. I ordered the SUGIZEN set meal for 850 yen. It came with simmered tofu hamburger, grilled mackerel, chicken simmered in soy sauce, and egg tofu with Nameko mushrooms. It also included rice, miso soup, and pickles. The meal was well-balanced, the portion was just right, and it was delicious. I enjoyed my lunch. Thank you.

The location is around the back of Kyoto City Hall, where there are scattered izakayas and eateries. I arrived around 10 minutes before lunchtime. They only serve daily specials and beef tendon curry udon sets during lunch hours. When I sat at the counter, they brought me tea and asked if I wanted the daily special. I ordered the beef tendon curry udon set. They mentioned it would take a bit of time, but that was fine. The dish arrived with curry udon and rice topped with an onsen egg and large chopped green onions. The noodles were thicker than usual but soft. I was unsure how to eat the onsen egg, but when I poured it over the curry udon, it made the mild curry even milder. The curry wasn't very spicy, and even someone sensitive to spices like me didn't break a sweat finishing it. There was a good amount of tendon meat, which was tender and well-cooked, but the flavor was just average. However, at 980 yen for lunch, it felt a bit on the expensive side.

I used it on a regular night. That day, maybe because of the rain, I was able to be seated right away without a reservation. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was extremely stylish, and I thought it could be a good place for a date. I had the 6500 yen course meal. From the appetizers to the grilled dishes, sushi, fried foods, etc., everything was delicious with a focus on seafood. The grilled dish's grilled head was exquisite!! Even the appetizers were amazing! The taste was also delicious. Among them, my top recommendation is the lotus root manju with yuba sauce. It had a very gentle taste and was incredibly delicious. I thought I would come back here many times to try different dishes! I will definitely use it again!

The lunch was around 800 yen. It included rice, miso soup, and various side dishes. It was quite luxurious and elaborate! The lunch had more attention to detail compared to trendy cafes. There were small dishes with sauce, and I even had fish for the first time in a while! However, the flavors were more suited for adults, with dishes like spicy daikon radish or mustard-flavored items. I have been there a few times, and there always seems to be a spicy dish. Personally, I do not like spicy food, so this may not be a recommendation for those who share my preference.

I visited for lunch. I have been here a few times at night with friends and have always enjoyed the delicious fish and sake. It has become my favorite place recently. For lunch, I ordered the 1800 yen set meal. It came with several seasonal dishes (around 6?), bara sushi, cha soba, and for dessert, a tofu pudding with kinako and kuromitsu. It was luxurious and beautiful, both in appearance and taste! Of course, I couldn't resist ordering sake to go with it. It was a lavish lunch that was worth every penny. Just like at night, the quality is top-notch during the day as well. It's a great restaurant.
