On a Friday evening, I visited this place for the first time after work. I arrived at 7:20 PM and there were only 2 customers inside. I bought a ticket for the special soy sauce ramen for 1,050 yen from the ticket machine and sat at an available seat. The restaurant has 8 counter seats. At 7:22 PM, I placed my ticket on the counter and waited. The soup was made from chicken, pork, and seafood broth, with a delicious soy sauce flavor. The thin straight noodles were cooked perfectly and tasted great with the soup. The three types of chashu were all good in taste and texture. The flavored egg was just right, adding a nice touch to the ramen. I finished every last drop of the soup and noodles. This was my 48th bowl of ramen this year, and it was very delicious. I left the restaurant at 7:31 PM, and there were 3 customers inside.

Ramen 900, lunch rice 150, no waiting after 12 o'clock. I didn't like the tsukemen, so I went with a simple ramen. The soup was delicious, hot, and well-balanced. The noodles had a good firmness, but the chashu was disappointing. The additional 150 yen rice dish was also disappointing. Next time, I'll go for the large ramen. I'll try the white soy sauce flavor next time.

In 2023, I visited this ramen shop for the 204th time. It is located about a 5-minute walk from Gakugeidaigaku Station. I arrived in less than 20 minutes from the nearest station, which I found out this time, haha. This shop used to be so popular that it was selected for the Michelin Bib Gourmand award for 6 consecutive years. I visited just before opening time at 11:25 am, and there was no line. I was the first customer, and by 11:35 am, I was already enjoying my bowl of ramen! The noodles were straight and medium-thin, made by Asahiya Noodle Company, cooked perfectly. The soup was made from chicken bones, whole chicken, pork bones, dried sardines, dried horse mackerel, bonito flakes, mackerel flakes, and other ingredients, creating a rich umami flavor. The addition of Gotemba's Amano soy sauce made it smooth and delicious. The chashu was made from pork shoulder loin and pork belly, simmered in a secret sauce, and was quite tasty. I used a coupon from Ramen Walker for the half-boiled seasoned egg, so it was free. The egg was perfectly runny, well-seasoned, with a vibrant yolk, very delicious. The menma included two types: tip menma and regular menma, both well-flavored and delicious. The green onions added a nice touch to the dish.

The time was 2 pm and there were about 4 people waiting in line at this popular restaurant. The fact that they have been awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand continuously is impressive. The female owner's service is polite. I ordered the dipping noodles with a seasoned egg. They don't focus on the quantity, but rather on the quality. The clear and flavorful soup, paired with the smooth whole wheat noodles, stimulates the appetite after waiting in the scorching sun. I enjoyed every last drop of the soup, appreciating the perfect balance between the broth's umami and soy sauce in this dipping noodles dish.

This is my first visit. I ordered the special soy sauce dipping noodles. Water is self-service, and the system is to purchase a food ticket and line up afterwards. They said they don't offer extra-large portions. The noodles were chewy and very delicious.

Despite waiting in the heat 25 minutes before the opening, I was relieved when they opened 5 minutes before the official business hours. I had the special soy sauce ramen (1,150 yen) and it was delicious. The chashu and soup had a unique flavor that I had never experienced before. I can't quite explain it, but it's a taste that regular ramen shops can't replicate. The restaurant was full as soon as it opened, and even when I left, there were about 7 people waiting. But the taste was worth the wait.

I had lunch at a popular ramen shop near Gakugei University Station that was recommended to me. There was a long line even before the store opened. I purchased a soy sauce ramen for 900 yen from the ticket machine and sat at the counter seat. The ramen was simple with a nostalgic atmosphere, but the quality was exceptional. The soup had a rich flavor, and there were different cuts of chashu and menma to enjoy. The noodles had a good texture, and I felt satisfied after finishing the meal. It was delicious.

First visit. Although I have gotten off a few times, exploring a shopping street with no knowledge of the area feels fresh. The atmosphere that somehow feels nostalgic has been transformed into an elegant town with a history of over 70 years, where popular local Chinese and Western confectionery shops quietly exude a solid presence. As lunchtime approaches, I peek into a miscellaneous goods store, and the sound of raindrops hitting the awning and the smell of the damp pavement tickle my nose. I quickly head to the store just after opening, and there is no line in front of the shop, so I smoothly enter. I purchase "soy sauce ramen" from the ticket machine, and I am lucky to get the last seat at the counter. The operation by the owner and the female employee shows a sense of stability as a specialty shop, and the store, which has been open for over 10 years, is filled with a sense of history. In about 3 minutes of waiting, the ramen is served, and the orthodox form exudes the aroma of flavored oil, with a subtle scent of bonito. First, I pick up the noodles and slurp them after dipping them back into the soup. The low-water-content whole wheat thin noodles are soft and have a supple texture, sliding smoothly down the throat. Then, I lift the bowl and sip the soup, which has a deep animal-based richness with a slightly strong bonito flavor. After the initial roundness of sweetness, it pleasantly clears the nasal cavity, spreading umami throughout the mouth. The char siu has a deep sweetness reminiscent of a Chinese restaurant's hanging flavor. Truly a popular long-established restaurant, despite the rain during lunchtime, there is still a line outside the shop, like raindrops falling sporadically. Now, let's head to Jiyugaoka and resume our walk!

I visited the restaurant at 1 pm on a regular weekday and was able to get in without waiting, but it was the last seat available. Lucky me. I ordered the tsukemen in large size as usual. After a short wait, my order arrived, and it looked beautiful. I started by trying the noodles alone first... delicious. Then I dipped them in the soup... delicious. There were plenty of menma and chopped char siu in the bowl. I enjoyed it without adding any extra seasonings. This time, I tried asking for soup refills for the first time. Normally, I would drink up the tasty soup as it is, but this time the chef mentioned that they could do soup refills, so I decided to try it. It was delicious. But I think I prefer drinking up the soup as it is. It's still hot outside, but I'm starting to crave ramen. Maybe next time I'll try the yuzu-flavored ramen.

On September 5, 2023, Tuesday, at 19:25, there were 2 customers and 2 staff members at the restaurant. There is a ticket machine available, and there are counter and table seats. The special soy sauce ramen costs 1150 yen, and the kama-age shirasu rice costs 350 yen. The soup had a strong flavor of dried fish and bonito flakes, but lacked richness. The noodles were thin, so the service was quick. The simmered pork, grilled pork, and chicken thigh chashu were mediocre. The kama-age shirasu rice was decent. Despite being ranked 1st on the food review site for Komaba-Todaimae, it was disappointing.

I didn't know there were such highly rated ramen shops near my house until now, and I visited for the first time. I arrived before the 11:30 opening time and was the first in line. There was no line on that day. I ordered the 950 yen soy sauce ramen. It was as beautiful and simple as the reviews said. When I tried it, it was quite delicious. The taste of chicken and seafood broth spread in my mouth. The thin noodles matched well with the soup. The chashu was a bit sweet, similar to the chashu in Chinatown. It wasn't my favorite chashu, but it might go well with the salty soup. So, since it's nearby, I will definitely come back again. Thank you for the meal.

Tsukemen (dipping noodles) ¥1,050 In the midst of the trend of soaking noodles in kelp water for tsukemen, this simple tsukemen is delicious. The noodles are firm and have a good texture, making them tasty even when eaten on their own. The soup has a slight sourness to it. Personally, I prefer ramen, but overall, I felt the high level of quality.

Today I went to Gakugeidaigaku Station, a popular residential area along the Toyoko Line. Although I originally planned to have Sanuki udon, the line was too long under the scorching sun. Instead, I searched on Tabelog and found a ramen shop nearby. It was my first time visiting this place. I decided on the soy sauce ramen for 900 yen and added a recommended shirasu rice bowl for 350 yen. The ramen arrived quickly and had a nice soy sauce aroma. The flavors of bonito, dried sardines, and kelp were refreshing, although I couldn't distinguish them clearly. Overall, it was delicious, so that's what matters most. I just wish the shirasu rice bowl had a bit more volume.

"Soy sauce ramen for 900 yen. This was my 250th bowl in 2023 and it was my first visit to this place. The bowl arrived in 8 minutes after ordering, with no wait on a weekday at 11:29. Some key points: the owner used to work at Setagaya before opening this place in 2009, it's ranked as one of the top 100 restaurants in Tokyo on Tabelog, and the weekday lunch set includes rice for only 150 yen which is a great deal. The water provided is RO water and I ended up drinking a lot of it. Today's ramen had whole wheat noodles with a nice firmness and a light chewiness. The soup had a strong flavor of dried fish and the soy sauce base was excellent. The roasted pork shoulder and simmered pork belly were incredibly delicious. The combination of menma (seasoned bamboo shoots) and hosaki menma (pickled bamboo shoots) was a unique and delightful touch. Overall, it was a fantastic meal!"

【2022 Ramen TOKYO Top 100】Located a 3-minute walk from Gakugei-daigaku Station on the main street, this restaurant has been featured in various media outlets, including the Michelin Bib Gourmand. Known for offering a balanced ramen using carefully selected ingredients, this place is famous for its quality. I visited around 2 pm on a weekday and was able to enter without much trouble as it wasn't too crowded. On this day, I ordered the following: [Special Soy Sauce Ramen for 1150 yen]. The appearance may seem like a typical simple soy sauce ramen, but the taste is simple yet delicious with a nice sharpness. While it may not be mind-blowing, it's a ramen that you can simply enjoy for its taste. The three types of chashu also offer different textures, fat content, and flavors to savor. The prices are also reasonable, with the [Soy Sauce Ramen for 900 yen] and [Soy Sauce Tsukemen for 950 yen]. The variety of side menu items such as [Kama-age Shirasu Rice for 350 yen] and [Chashu Rice for 350 yen] is also appreciated. Overall, it was a reliably delicious ramen shop. Thank you for the meal! ✨

I finally added my favorite ramen shop to my list, so I feel relieved. Today's ramen was also delicious and satisfying, but I had some time so I decided to write a review after a long time. The soup is a relatively spicy soy sauce base with a rich flavor. The first mouthful leaves a strong impression and the intense flavor makes you want to keep slurping. There are two slices of char siu, with the red one being particularly memorable. It has a unique taste that I wasn't a fan of at first, but I somehow grew to like it. I finally found the last sage and completed the main challenge in Teakin. There were many challenges where simply talking would count as completion, and I remember how surprised Prua was each time we talked.

At around 1 pm on weekdays, there is usually no line. If you order from the regular menu, they will add an extra 100 yen for the Yuzu-flavored white soy sauce ramen. The strong white soy sauce flavor is complemented by the scent of yuzu. This would probably go well with Shirasu rice. By the time you finish eating and leave, there will be a line of 2-3 people. This ramen shop, loved by locals, is a must-try.

A soy sauce soup with a rich umami flavor of animal ingredients that spreads in your mouth after the fish flavor. This post serves as a memo to remember the deliciousness of the restaurant I visited. It includes a personal rating of how delicious I found it, along with a brief comment. Please note that this is a personal rating that may be influenced by changes in physical condition and emotions.

Menya Bigiya @ Gakugei University "Soy Sauce Ramen with Half-cooked Flavored Egg" A famous restaurant in Gakugei University that ranks in the top 100 on Tabelog every year. The blend of chicken, tonkotsu, and dried ingredients in the sauce, combined with soy sauce, is outstanding. The noodles are thin straight noodles with a smooth texture. The chashu comes in two types: pork belly and pork shoulder loin. The belly is simmered slowly and is very tender. The shoulder loin is cooked perfectly and has a rich flavor. Both are incredibly delicious, making you want to eat them with rice. The flavored egg is also delicious. It was so good that I couldn't believe how tasty it was. All the toppings are delicious, and the overall balance of the ramen is excellent. It was a delightful meal. #noodlelover #noodlelover #noodlestagram #ramen #tokyo #MenyaBigiya #Bigiya #GakugeiUniversityStation #GakugeiUniversity #SoySauceRamenwithHalf-cookedFlavoredEgg #TabelogTop100

Special soy sauce ramen for 1,150 yen. About 30 minutes before passing by the front of the restaurant, there was no one there, but around opening time, there was a waiting line of about 7-8 people. After a full rotation, the restaurant was completely full. Those who arrived just after me had to buy their meal tickets first and wait outside. Once you hand in your meal ticket, the food is served promptly. The soy sauce flavor is not too strong, it's mellow and delicious. However, towards the end, you might feel a bit salty. When leaving, there were about 5 people waiting outside.

On a regular day at 2 pm, we had a late lunch after visiting the children's hospital. It's rare to find a place open at this time, as most shops are on break. This place is located along the main street near Gakugeidaigaku Station. We were able to get in smoothly at this time on a weekday. My wife ordered the soy sauce ramen with an extra 100 yen for the yuzu-flavored white soy sauce ramen. The scent of yuzu was nice. I had the soy sauce tsukemen with a daily special rice bowl, which was a spicy mini grilled pork bowl today. The grilled aroma was fragrant and enhanced the juiciness. The tsukemen had relatively thin noodles that coated well with the soup, making it delicious. It was truly a popular spot.
