This is a hamburger shop located a short walk from the East Fushimi-Inari Station on the JR Nara Line and Keihan Main Line. The unique flavors created by London's hamburger champion have a Kyoto craftsmanship feel, making this shop one-of-a-kind. The exterior, renovated from a traditional house over 100 years old, seamlessly combines Kyoto's traditional and hamburger shop's western styles, blending into the city. The spacious interior, on both the first and second floors, exudes a calm atmosphere typical of traditional houses, with plenty of table seating in this relatively large establishment. Despite the stylish renovation, the comforting ambiance of a Japanese house remains. The menu offers a variety of hamburgers, side dishes, and drinks, including a wide selection of carefully selected wines. Among them, the craft cola, a recent trend, is available. I tried it and found it to be relatively easy to drink and delicious, despite its strong flavor. The hamburgers are made with carefully selected ingredients, incorporating various Kyoto vegetables and pickles, resulting in a unique blend of Japanese flavors. Currently, five types of hamburgers are available, and I tried two of them. The Yuzu Pepper Burger appears like a regular western-style burger at first glance, except for the use of Kujo Negi (Japanese leek). The soft brioche bun complements the juicy and flavorful hamburger patty, which is generously topped with crispy bacon and melted cheese. The highlight is the sauce, a combination of yuzu pepper mayo and chili sauce, with slices of Seigoin Daikon (Japanese radish) adding a subtle Japanese touch. The harmonious blend of flavors creates a delicious and unique taste. The Kujo Negi and daikon enhance the Japanese essence of the burger. The Wasabi Burger features seaweed protruding from the burger, which may seem unusual at first. However, the combination of mustard mayo and Japanese horseradish creates a delightful spicy kick. The lightness of the seaweed, along with fried onions, surprisingly complements the flavors, resulting in a tasty and easy-to-eat burger with a generous amount of meat. I would like to try the other three varieties as well and hope to revisit this place. Currently, it seems there are three locations, including the one in front of the East Fushimi-Inari Station, Fushimi Inari Station, and Kamakura Station, making it somewhat challenging to visit. I would be delighted if more branches were opened while maintaining the current quality. Thank you for the meal.
