During lunchtime, I visited the restaurant "Odento Hana Tora" where I used to have bento meals. I saw on Instagram that they will be ending their lunch service at the end of June, so I hurried to visit. I ordered the Hana Tora Daimyo set (1300 yen tax included), which I had decided on before my visit. When I arrived, there was only one person working, but a few more customers came later, making it quite busy. The owner was handling everything alone, so the service was a bit slow, but each dish was carefully prepared and left a good impression. The small portions and variety of dishes were visually appealing and delicious, and I ended up feeling quite full. If you have the chance, I recommend visiting before the end of June when they will stop serving lunch.

Visited on November 8, 2022 Ordered the "Nigiwai Hana Tora Set" for 1000 yen, which included sashimi, chawanmushi, 5 small side dishes, pickles, miso soup, and rice. Every dish was carefully prepared and very delicious. Especially the chawanmushi was rich in umami from the smooth broth and generous ingredients, including ginkgo nuts. I found a restaurant in Saiin where you can have lunch and drink during the day. They not only serve oden, but also sashimi and small dishes, so you can enjoy a variety of options. It was a relaxing and comfortable place where you could have a pleasant conversation. Thank you for the wonderful meal.
