There was a sake brewery opening event organized by the Fushimi Meisakyo Cooperative. The location was next to the "Torisei Main Store" shop, although it was not directly connected. Various Fushimi sake breweries participated in the event to promote the sale of new sake. It is a rare event that happens three times a year. On this day, you could taste and purchase 13 different recommended sake from each brewery. It was a great opportunity to find your favorite sake as well as purchase sake lees, sake kasutera, and other sake-related products. There were also sales of Kyoto vegetables, sake vessels, sake manju, and flower seedlings at a very affordable price. The sake lees sale was limited to 2500 bags, and people started lining up early in the morning to purchase. The sake tasting tickets were also popular, allowing you to taste freshly squeezed sake and limited edition sake. After tasting the sake, you could purchase your favorite ones at the sales corner. The Torisei special sake lees soup was also a hit, with a long line of people waiting to try it. Overall, it was a successful event with a variety of sake and sake-related products available for purchase.

During the season of new sake, a joint tasting event is held by five member breweries. These breweries are considered traditional and well-established. Upon purchasing a tasting ticket for 200 yen at the entrance, you will receive a small cup as a souvenir. Then, you can proceed to the factory and enjoy your favorite sake. While the small cup may not feel like you've had much, inside they will pour you a "triple" (equivalent to three small cups) in a paper cup. You can then enjoy standing and drinking inside the venue! Truly delicious! Japanese sake really resonates with the identity of the Japanese people.
