(2015.12.5 & 12.6) I revisited "Live House Togatoga" in Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto, for the third time following my visits in November last year and June this year. Upon entering, I paid 1,000 yen for two drink orders and received a ticket. I ordered a chu-hi and takoyaki for 500 yen each. My friend ordered two highballs at once, which turned out to be a smart move since the seats were full and it was difficult to move around later. The live event featured Kaori Shirai, who is celebrating her 35th anniversary next year. It was a two-day live event. At the end of the event on the 6th, they allowed photos to be taken for promotion. However, posting on food review sites may not be effective for promotion. The next event is on June 19, 2016. I will definitely come back again. Thank you for the great time!
(2014.11.9 visit) After leaving Kyojima Stand, I headed to the main event of the day - the annual live performance by Kaori Shirai. Last year it was in Tokyo, but this year it moved to Kyoto, which is more convenient for me since I'm from Hiroshima. It's interesting to note that Kaori Shirai's father's job has led them to move around quite a bit. She was born in Kanagawa Prefecture (Fujisawa City), then moved to Fukuoka, Aichi, Kyoto (middle and high school), and finally Yokohama in Kanagawa. Since this live performance was in Kyoto, a city with special memories for her, I had high expectations as a fan. The venue had also promoted the event as "Kaori Shirai in Kyoto!" so it seemed to have some name value. The entrance fee for the live event was not included in the ticket price. The doors opened at 4 PM, and seating was first-come, first-served. I sat in the front right of the stage, while my friend from university sat in the front right. The ordering system required each person to order at least two items. I ordered a Moscow Mule and takoyaki, which cost 1,250 yen. Additional orders were possible, but the venue was packed with over 100 people, so I focused more on enjoying the live performance rather than ordering more food and drinks. It was a friendly atmosphere, with fans even discussing the next live event during the performance. We ended up booking the venue for the next event in June 2015 during the live performance. Live events are dynamic, with different performers and audience members at each show. It's truly priceless. Thank you for the great experience! Bonus: I wish I had gone to a school with such a cool school song! (So unique!)
