This time, I ordered the famous Tonkatsu Curry and Steak Don, both of which come in a generous portion of 400g. I had lunch with a retired person. We made a reservation, but since a group was coming, we had to sit at the counter. I still ordered the steak bowl, which was tender and delicious. The counter quickly filled up with salarymen by 11:30. By the time we left, there were people waiting, showing that it's a popular spot. Making a reservation is a good idea.

I had lunch with a meat-loving friend who lives around here♪♪ The exterior and interior of the restaurant looked like a natural cafe and were very lovely✨ We couldn't decide between the 400g and the 200g, so we decided to share the "My Steak Donburi" (200g for 1300 yen) and the "Ultimate Beefsteak" (200g for 1500 yen)✨ They arrived! Wow, even the 200g portion is huge! The "My Steak Donburi" looked crispy as if it was cooked over charcoal. But when we tasted it, it was so tender! The sauce was soy sauce-based and lightly flavored. Despite the light flavor, the rice was generously covered with sauce, making every bite delicious✨ The "Ultimate Beefsteak" arrived sizzling hot! Wow✨ It was also a two-tiered steak! This got us really excited! The meat had a satisfying firmness to it, giving a real American steak feel! The sauce was sweet but not too overpowering. The more you chew, the more the flavor of the meat spreads in your mouth☺️ My meat-loving friend said, "The Beefsteak is more delicious! The meat should be this firm!" I also preferred the Beefsteak, with its firmness and the sweet and savory sauce✨ The rice in each bowl was made soft to mix easily with the meat, balancing the firmness and sauce. It seems like they pay attention to detail. The portion size was just right, as I ate a bit more for my friend who eats less. If dining alone, I wish they had a 300g option on the menu. If you like tender meat with a light flavor, go for the Steak Donburi. If you prefer a chewier meat with a sweet sauce, the Beefsteak is recommended! They open at 11 am, so we were able to relax by coming in right at opening, but it was almost full by noon. I recommend coming a bit earlier or later to avoid the crowd.

There is a beef bowl restaurant near Saiin Station that I have been wanting to try for about 3 years. It's called "Ore no Steak Don." They offer a 400g steak bowl for ¥2,000. You can also choose a 200g option for ¥1,300, but I went with the 400g one without hesitation (which turned out to be a mistake). They use lean meat, so it comes out rare. The bowl is filled with nothing but meat, making it hard to reach the rice at the bottom. The meat is delicious at first, but without any flavor variations, it becomes a bit tough to finish as you reach your stomach's limit. I managed to finish it, but next time, I might go for the 200g option. I also want to try their steak curry.

I ordered a steak bowl with 200g of beef, 200g of pork, and 100g of rice. The tenderness of the beef steak was as wonderful as ever. The pork also had a satisfying texture. I ordered a 200g steak bowl and my husband ordered a 400g pork bowl. The meat was plentiful and delicious. My husband had leftover tartar sauce, so I wanted to order some white rice to pour it over. The 400g steak bowl might have been just right for me too.

I went to a restaurant in Saiin for lunch. I wanted to eat meat so I made a reservation. I reserved for 11:30, so there were only about 3 groups of customers. The men were eating curry and it looked delicious, but I decided to go with the recommended steak bowl. The 200g of meat was plentiful and tender, and the sauce was delicious. I was able to linger around for a while. I would like to try the steak set next time. It's a restaurant that left a good impression on me.

<23/6 First Visit> On a Sunday afternoon, before running errands near Nishiin, I searched on Tabelog for a place to have lunch. Not looking for anything particularly Kyoto-like, I was drawn to this place by the photos of meat. As mentioned in the article, there are many coin parking lots around the restaurant, so it's convenient even if you're driving. Since it was early in the day, there were no other customers. There are 7 counter seats and 2 tables for 4 people each. Self-service water is available. The BGM is jazz, creating a stylish atmosphere. Though it's hard to resist the tonkatsu, I wanted to try the steak and curry. I ordered the following: - My Steak Don (200g) (¥1,300) - Legendary Steak Curry (200g) (¥1,400) The curry sauce is quite thin. It seems to be made with red wine to complement the steak. The steak, while cooked rare with a hint of redness, was tough to chew and swallow. On the other hand, the steak don was equally impressive with a solid 200g steak. The visual impact was great. However, the seasoning and sauce may be a bit too strong. I would prefer to taste the simple flavor of the meat. Perhaps a little extra care in preparing the meat could make it easier to eat. It's a convenient place if you live nearby, but I don't think I would make a special trip to visit again.

I walked from the hotel I stayed at to a nearby ramen shop, but on the way, I saw a sign that said "肉" (meat). The name of the shop was Nikuzaemon, and it really caught my attention. The ramen shop I originally planned to go to had a long line, so I quickly turned back and entered Nikuzaemon. The interior of the shop was bright and had a cafe-like atmosphere. I ordered a 400g steak bowl, and it was piled high with meat. It was like a mountain of meat, just like Hitsumabushi. The meat was rare and tender, and the sweet sauce was delicious. I kept digging in, but I couldn't reach the rice underneath. There was 200g of rice. Haha, I'm glad I came here. I really enjoyed the meat. Thank you for the meal.

The curry wasn't too spicy and the ingredients were well-cooked, making it easy to eat. The person I was with ordered the pork cutlet bowl, which was very tender and delicious. I want to go back again.

Ton-tekki curry, a specialty dish (200g of ton-tekki) for 1,200 yen. Around 7 pm on a weekday, there was one group of customers before me and one group after me. I had dinner here as I was working in Shijo at night and meeting someone later. There are 6 seats at the counter and 2 tables. I sat at the counter, poured myself some water, and ordered the ton-tekki curry. About 5 minutes later, it was served - quite fast! The curry arrived with a generous portion of slightly rare ton-tekki, accompanied by Fukujinzuke (pickles) and wakame seaweed soup. The ton-tekki, grilled over charcoal, had a delicious smoky flavor. It was aged, so the meat itself was flavorful and top-notch. The curry itself was a watery type without any ingredients, but spiced to be slightly spicy - very easy to eat. I think the curry was designed to complement the ton-tekki, and they matched perfectly! About one-third into my meal, I got curious about the table condiments, so I decided to try some for flavor variation. I sprinkled some rock salt on the ton-tekki and it was amazing! The combination was unbeatable! I finished the rest of the ton-tekki with rock salt - it disappeared in seconds! This combination is highly recommended! The wakame soup was a bit thin but still tasty. The restaurant has a stylish atmosphere, serves delicious and generous portions of meat, and offers great value for money! Definitely the place to go when you want to eat delicious meat! Thank you for the meal! I will come back again.

I arrived a little early for my 1:30 reservation, but they had an available seat so I was able to be seated right away. The restaurant has 5 seats at the counter and 2 four-person tables, but there can be a wait during lunchtime. The kitchen and service were a bit slow since there was only one person working in each, but the Tonkatsu Curry was fruity and the Steak Don was delicious. They even offer a free drink if you post about them on Instagram, which was a nice touch. Thank you.

On the first day of my trip to Kyoto, I had lunch at a restaurant called "Shokudo Nikuzaemon" that I found through browsing. Despite the disappointing weather, I decided to lift my spirits by enjoying some delicious food. When I arrived at the restaurant around 12:30, there were no other customers, which made me a bit anxious. However, I went in and was greeted by the owner and a young male staff member. After some deliberation, I ordered the "Ton Teki Curry" which was recommended by many reviewers. The dish arrived in less than 5 minutes, consisting of 200g of rice topped with sliced ton teki pork and a mildly spicy curry. The ton teki pork was tender and flavorful, resembling a pork sauté dish rather than the traditional ton teki from Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture. As I was eating, a couple entered the restaurant, which made me feel less awkward dining alone. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

Ever since I found it on Instagram, I've been wanting to go to Nikuzawaemon. I had the 200g steak bowl and my boyfriend had the steak curry! The incredibly tender lean meat was unbelievably delicious. The curry was also too luxurious, right?! We barely made it before closing time, but they were accommodating. I'll definitely go back to eat more meat!

I went to eat at Nikuzaemon in Nishin, Kyoto ❤️ I had the legendary Steak Curry, which was incredibly delicious. The steak bowl I had at the Kinkakuji store before was also amazing, but the Steak Curry was just as good. The Legendary Steak Curry with 200g of meat costs ¥1,400 and it looks amazing ❤️ The steak is perfectly cooked and the curry sauce is exquisite. It is cooked with 30 different spices and simmered for 2 days, making it incredibly delicious. The popular Ton-Teiki Curry, with 200g of meat, costs ¥1,200. It was my first time trying Ton-Teiki and the pork was cooked slowly at low temperature, making it very tender and juicy. The combination with the curry sauce was perfect. The rice comes in one size and the meat can be upgraded to 200g of beef for an additional ¥600, or 200g of pork for an additional ¥300. I envy those who work nearby and can visit the restaurant every day. It's only a 5-minute walk from Hankyu's Nishin Station ☺️ Be sure to check it out! ✨✨

Eating a meat bowl in a stylish restaurant is exceptional! I couldn't forget the taste of the meat bowl I had when I visited Kinkaku-ji, so I went to "Shokudo Nikuzaemon" again. This time, I visited the main store in Nishiiin, which was different from the last time. The exterior of the main store is very stylish, and the interior is also super fashionable, like a cafe. It's not your typical steak bowl restaurant, which really gets you excited. I was planning to order the same steak bowl and steak curry that I had last time because they were delicious, but I noticed the pork bowl and decided to change to pork bowl and steak bowl. The steak bowl still had the same volume and quality as before. The rare steak that keeps coming out as you dig in would be irresistible for rare steak lovers. The combination of meat and sauce is excellent, and the rice goes down smoothly. The pork bowl that I tried for the first time this time was also delicious. The pork was tender with a firm texture, and the beautiful pink color was a sight to behold. I enjoyed it while changing the taste with the condiments on the table, and before I knew it, I had finished it all.

Almost all meat curry rice ❤️‍ Nishioin "Shokudo Nikuzaemon" @nikuzaemon I couldn't forget the excitement of eating steak bowl at the Kinkaku-ji store last time, so I ended up coming to the main store (Check out the post about the steak bowl on 11/4). This time I chose curry rice: "Legendary Steak Curry (with soup and pickles)" 200g of meat for ¥1,400, 400g for ¥2,100. Once again, I ordered the 400g portion. The volume of the steak looks amazing compared to the 200g of rice, and the 400g steak is just ❤️‍ incredible! The rare red meat is so tender! Paired with the spicy curry, it's just the best. Even though there's 400g of meat, I couldn't stop eating it! It was so delicious! I also felt like trying the pork, so I had the "Supreme Pork Steak," and it was also delicious!

The steak bowl at the Nishiiin branch was so delicious that I had to come back for more! The steak bowl is loaded with plenty of meat, incredibly tender and satisfying to eat. My steak bowl (comes with soup and pickles) with 200g of meat costs 1,300 yen, and with 400g costs 2,000 yen. The lean meat is piled high, and the steak is so flavorful with wasabi and garlic chips that you won't get tired of eating it. I opted for the 400g option, which was a great deal at 2,000 yen. The cafeteria Nikuzabemon in Nishiin, Kyoto, near the Kinkaku-ji Temple was so delicious that I went back to the Nishiin branch! The steak bowl with plenty of meat was amazing. The steak with lots of meat was tender and very satisfying. My steak bowl (with soup and pickles) costs 1,300 yen for 200g and 2,000 yen for 400g. The lean meat is lined up all the way to the bottom, so much meat! It comes with wasabi and garlic chips, making it so tasty that you can keep eating without getting tired of it. It was so delicious that 2,000 yen is too good of a deal... I guess I'll start my diet tomorrow.
