I had the hearty A set meal at Katsuryu Tei, which included ramen, gyoza, and fried rice. The ramen had extra green onions and a seasoned egg topping. I have been in Tokyo for about 2 years and haven't had the chance to eat at Katsuryu Tei, a favorite of mine. However, during my business trip to Kyoto, I made a sudden visit to the Tenjo store. I started with the fried rice, then savored the gyoza. Delicious. Finally, the ramen arrived with a thick layer of pork fat and green onions. I usually slurp the soup along with the noodles, but this time I savored the soup slowly with a spoon. Yes, this is it. The 2-year break from Katsuryu Tei was washed away by the soup. The refreshing Kyoto green onions, slightly wilted in the hot soup, the pork fat mingling with the noodles. The harmony between the noodles and soup, complemented by the chashu pork and green onions. A ramen that knows how to subtract as well as add. It's so strange that you can't find this in Tokyo. I added various toppings this time, but back when I used to visit regularly, I would just have the lunch set with ramen and rice. Simple is best! It was delicious!

I had work at Toji Temple in Kyoto and wanted to have a hearty lunch today, so I decided to go to Koraitei in Jujo. Jujo is quite far to walk to (-。-; It was drizzling slightly, but since it was Sunday afternoon, the restaurant was almost full with the staff's lively voices and a mix of Official Hige Dism's collaboration with mixed nuts playing in the background, for some reason my mood lifted. I ordered the usual ramen, fried chicken, and rice set with extra green onions. Koraitei has switched to a touch panel ordering system, which is easy to understand and convenient. The ramen at Koraitei, as always, was delicious! The balance of ingredients and the size of the bowl made it feel a bit cramped, but personally, I think it would look even better in a bigger bowl. The fried chicken had a crispy coating and a strong garlic flavor, delicious! I enjoyed it with the chili bean paste on the table. I devoured the rice with Koraitei's original pickled plum. It's amazing how they maintain this quality at every store. Truly impressive. Well done, President Mameta! Overall, it was a satisfying meal as expected. Thank you!

I visited a sushi restaurant that was recommended to me. I usually go to Meimon nearby, so this was my first time at this restaurant. I was told to order using a tablet by the staff. I ordered the rich ramen for 820 yen, but it was too salty and the portion of noodles was small. It was also very spicy due to the amount of chili peppers. In short, it was not appealing. I think the last time I went to a different branch was over 10 years ago, and I didn't find it delicious either.

I received a notification on the app for the grand opening celebration at Lailai Tei, so I decided to go. I was attracted by the good deal offered. This time, I got a free voucher for a bowl of ramen. I thought I went during a less busy time, but there was still a line. Since I was alone, I was lucky to get a seat at the counter after waiting for about 5 minutes. As always, I love the ramen here. My preferences are as follows: * Noodle firmness: on the harder side * Soy sauce richness: on the lighter side * No extra back fat * Normal amount of chashu * Extra chopped green onions (all for free) It's convenient that they accept electronic money for payment. I'm looking forward to using the free voucher on my next visit.

Arrived at 10:52 a.m. on Saturday. The parking lot was empty, but there was a line of 14 groups in front of the store. Three minutes before opening, we were finally seated after the first round. The anniversary event was incredibly popular, I was surprised! I ordered the Fried Rice Set (990 yen) with extra noodles (130 yen) and extra fried rice (130 yen). I asked for extra fat on the char siu and extra green onions. Unfortunately, there was no option for extra pork fat. I activated my digestive system with freshly grated garlic! The extra fried rice portion was a bit small for the price. The ingredients in the fried rice were mainly scallions and eggs. The ramen had the same thin noodles as before. It was a bit clumpy, which was disappointing. The char siu had a thin layer of fat but was delicious. The service was good, and ordering through the touch panel was convenient.

It's not often that you can eat all your favorite dishes so easily, so it's really convenient when you feel like having a drink. The char siu in the char siu bowl is quite thick and has a strong flavor. It's very filling, and the green onions are amazing. I love the ramen at RaRaTei, so the taste is guaranteed. The cheese dumplings are a bit lacking... I think dumplings should be crispy. Haha, thanks for the meal!

I visited the restaurant on Saturday at 11:40 am and there was only one group ahead of me. I ordered the hearty Set B (1200 yen) but changed it to salt ramen (+80 yen) with extra noodles (130 yen) and added pork belly. My friend ordered the Gyoza set meal (950 yen) with extra noodles (130 yen). The salt ramen had yuzu peel which was refreshing but not really to my liking. I still prefer the soy sauce ramen at this restaurant. The fried chicken was crispy and decent. The fried rice was surprisingly tasty as I don't usually order it. The gyoza was average and I probably won't order it again in the future.

Past log: Ramen at Lai Lai Tei is delicious, but the side dishes are also plentiful and tasty. My favorite is the Tenshinhan. Eating ramen and Tenshinhan fills you up quite a bit, but it would be nice if they had a smaller size for the Tenshinhan. Thank you for the meal.

I visited RaRaTei once again. I tried their curry ramen and ordered some fried chicken as well. I have tried curry ramen in various places, but this one was really delicious. I think I might get hooked on curry ramen for a while. Thank you for the meal.

Recently, I've been craving soy sauce-based ramen rather than rich and heavy ones. I'm okay with a lot of pork fat in this case (lol). I didn't like the fatty part of the chashu though (>_<). I couldn't decide whether to have fried rice or Tianjin rice as a set, but I wanted Tianjin rice, so I chose that set. Thank you for the meal! ^ ^

Visited before 12:00 on Saturday. The restaurant was quite busy but there was space at the counter, so I was able to enter easily. I ordered the rich ramen (780 yen) with extra noodles (130 yen), extra pork fat, extra green onions, and added garlic. The noodles were very thin, and the pork slices were thin but there were plenty of them. Next time, I'll try the fatty pork slices. The rich ramen was not too different from the regular one on this day, and I could eat it easily, even when drinking the soup. Generally, I think the best option at Rairaitei is the regular ramen with very thin noodles. The garlic was very strong when grated fresh.

Visited before 5:30 PM on Saturday. About 60% of the seats were occupied, so I easily found a seat at the counter. The counter seats had partitions for COVID-19 measures, and surprisingly, they had touch panels installed. I ordered my usual favorite, the hearty B set meal (1200 yen) with extra pork fat, extra green onions, and added garlic. The ramen portion was smaller than I'm used to, as I usually go for the large size. The noodles were the usual thin type. The char siu consisted of four thinly sliced pieces, which had a consistent flavor. Adding freshly grated garlic gave it a strong punch. The fried rice here is on the moist side, with simple ingredients like egg, green onions, and meat, but it was decent. The four small pieces of fried chicken were crispy and well-cooked, with a nice cut in the middle. I was quite full after the meal. Each item was good, but the combination of fried chicken and fried rice was unnecessary. Next time, I'll try the ramen in a large size, along with the pork kimchi set meal and the beef liver fried chicken set meal. I might also go for the large size fried rice.

Today I had a delicious soy sauce ramen at Rairaitei Jujo Takeda store, where the fried rice is so good that I feel like coming back regularly. They have branches in various locations, making it convenient to enjoy their signature black fried rice. Rairaitei Jujo Takeda store is located at 38-1 Higashi Kujo Minami Ishida-cho, Minami-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture.

Today, I want to avoid chain restaurants and try delicious ramen near Fushimi-ku in Kyoto. I recommend trying the soy sauce ramen at Rairai-tei, Jujou Takeda branch, where the fried rice is also amazing. The address is 38-1 Higashi Kujo Minami Ishida-cho, Minami-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto.

Surprisingly, my first visit at night. When I visited around 8 pm on a weekday, the restaurant was quite busy. I ordered the rich ramen (780 yen) with extra noodles (130 yen) and the pork kimchi set meal (330 yen). My ramen preferences are lots of pork fat, fatty chashu, and plenty of green onions, pretty much the same every time. The rich ramen is delicious, but compared to the regular ramen, it can make you thirsty after drinking the soup. The pork kimchi goes well with rice. The extra noodles, with two hearty servings, are satisfying for a hungry stomach. However, I found it a bit challenging to finish the rich ramen with extra noodles and a set meal at Ramen Rai Rai lately. I've had the rich ramen many times, but at Ramen Rai Rai, the regular ramen is the best in terms of price and taste balance.

On October 1st, Tenichi offers free ramen tickets as it is their special day, but at RaRaTei, they also have a similar day where they give out free ramen tickets. At RaRaTei, the date is not fixed but usually set for the second weekend of November each year. I personally think that the normal ramen at RaRaTei has the best balance and is delicious. The fried chicken in the set meal is crispy, but it may be slightly over-fried. Well, it's a matter of preference.

I visited the restaurant around 8 o'clock on July 20, 2019. When I saw various taxis parked in the parking lot, I understood why. The restaurant was crowded, with all table seats taken and some seats available at the counter. It seemed like there were many families dining. I came here today specifically for the curry ramen. I asked for the noodles to be thin and firm. As for the taste, I think curry ramen is quite challenging. If the curry flavor is strong, it becomes curry rice ramen, and if the soup leans towards a broth taste, it turns into soup curry ramen. This one here was more like curry rice ramen.

When I went to Fushimi for work, I stopped by this restaurant for lunch! It's located on 10th Street and a bit hard to find. Even though it was 3:00 PM, there were still many customers! I ordered a great value set and the food arrived quickly! I could customize it to my liking, which was fun and the food tasted amazing! The side fried rice and fried chicken were excellent too! There were many different menu options, including cold noodles for this season, so I didn't get bored. I was impressed by the variety and quality of the food at Rairaitei. I definitely want to go back again!

Visited around 11:30 on Sunday. Managed to find parking and only had to wait a little before being seated. Ordered the rich ramen (745 yen) with extra noodles (108 yen), with extra pork fat and extra green onions. Also ordered the hearty B set meal (1156 yen) with extra pork fat and extra green onions. The B set meal came with crispy fried chicken and a small fried rice. The fried chicken was a bit too crispy. The fried rice was small in portion, but decent in taste. The rich ramen had a strong flavor compared to regular ramen. The balance is better with the normal option. The extra noodles added a good amount of volume. The portion sizes were generous. The chashu pork slices at Lai Lai Tei were thin but tasty, even with just a few pieces in the normal serving.

I visited Takaragi Tenjin store for the first time in a while to receive a free ramen ticket for their 2-day Thanksgiving event on November 3rd and 4th. The atmosphere was lively as always, and the thin noodles ramen was easy to eat. "Rairai-tei" is known for its backfat ramen, a symbol of Kyoto ramen, and it brought back nostalgic memories. Starting from November, they also accept electronic money in addition to cash payments, which I plan to use to get through the cold winter.
