Today, I took my kids to play by the river and have a meal in Uji! First, we went to Actpal Uji where we could enjoy river activities. Actpal Uji is a comprehensive outdoor activity center with facilities such as accommodation, gymnasium, camping & BBQ area, athletic courses, grand golf, dining hall (Kasatori Farm), pottery workshop, and an observatory, among others. It's not just for kids, adults can also have fun with camping and BBQ facilities available. I bought a Boss Black canned coffee from Kasatori Farm's store on the way (laughs). And I also bought 3 bags of freshly picked potatoes as souvenirs, they were only 200 yen per bag (surprised face). Summer vacation is coming soon! This time, I introduced a spot where families can have fun together. P.S We enjoyed the freshly picked potatoes at home by making potato salad and nikujaga (beef and potato stew). Delicious!

This is the dining room inside the accommodation facility called "Actpal Uji". It has a lodge-like feel deep in the mountains, with a gym attached. This time, we visited for a badminton training camp. It was still cold in Uji City, Kyoto Prefecture in March, and even colder in the mountains, but the indoor space was warm and comfortable. The food was okay, but it tasted delicious with the atmosphere.

The restaurant inside Act Park Uji is located within the building. There are also outdoor facilities for BBQ at Act Park Uji, and there are no shops nearby, but you can have meals at Kasutori Farm located right at the entrance of the building. The tables seem to be mostly for group use, giving a camp-like atmosphere. If you request in advance, you can have a set meal ready on time, but you can also order normally. Breakfast is also served here. We had BBQ for lunch and they also provided rice for us.
