I had some errands to run around the area of Gojo Kawaramachi, so I did some research on my favorite soba restaurants nearby. I found a quaint tea house-like soba restaurant in a charming alley that had a very Kyoto vibe. The interior of the restaurant and the kind smile of the proprietress exuded a lovely atmosphere. I opted for the weekday-only soba lunch set, which included 100% soba noodles. In addition to the soba, the set also came with homemade minced meat miso rice and pickles. The soba had a nice chewy texture and a fragrant aroma, being made of 100% buckwheat. I was impressed by the great value of this experience - enjoying soba in such a Kyoto-like atmosphere. I would definitely want to bring my soba-loving friend here for a Kyoto tour!

Taka Hashi, a soba restaurant located southeast of the intersection of Kawaramachi Gojo in Kyoto, is a tea house converted into a cozy Kyoto-style restaurant. Upon entering, guests are greeted with a traditional Japanese atmosphere, where they must remove their shoes and store them in a designated area before being seated in a tatami room. The lunch set menu includes the finely ground 100% buckwheat soba set and the soboro rice bowl with miso, priced at 1100 yen. The food is served promptly, and guests are advised to try the soba first with salt, then with the dipping sauce. The reviewer found the salt seasoning to be more enjoyable than the dipping sauce, which resembled somen soup in thickness. Soba water is also provided to finish the meal. The only disappointment was the absence of duck soup soba on the menu. Overall, the reviewer expressed satisfaction with the dining experience at Taka Hashi.

Visited around 11:30 on January 26th (Wednesday) after a hectic period of visiting soba restaurants since the end of the year. The final blow was this place I found on YouTube. It's located a little off the beaten path and has a very charming atmosphere, giving off a vibe of being a hidden gem. The customer service was excellent, so I definitely plan on coming back. I'm curious about trying their other type of coarse-ground soba as well! It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

I visited "Soba Handmade Takahashi" near Kawaramachi Gojo. The restaurant, which used to be a tea house in Gojo Rakuen, has a charming and calming atmosphere. They use buckwheat flour from Shinshu Yatsugatake on this day. There are two types of soba available: fine-ground 100% buckwheat soba and coarse-ground soba (1 part buckwheat flour to 10 parts other flour), so I ordered a combination of the two for 1300 yen. The soba was served on one plate. The fine-ground soba was not as thin as I expected, and the coarse-ground soba had a slightly darker color. The fine-ground soba had seaweed on top. I tried eating it as is first, then with salt, and finally with soba dipping sauce. Both were delicious. The soba had a sweet flavor, and the aroma was delightful. I initially thought the 100% buckwheat soba would be better, but surprisingly, the coarse-ground soba had a better aroma and sweetness. This may vary depending on the day, so I would like to go back and try the combination again. *However, I think the seaweed on the 100% buckwheat soba is unnecessary, so I will order it without seaweed next time.

I parked my car at a coin parking lot near the intersection of Gojo-Kawaramachi, took off my shoes, and entered the restaurant. Since I was alone, I chose a seat in the tatami room. The restaurant also had table seating and a second floor. I ordered the shrimp tempura soba. The soba had a strong and coarse texture, and I enjoyed it with both salt and dipping sauce, although I preferred it with salt. The soba had a delicious flavor that paired well with the salt. The tempura included a small, round, red item - a mini tomato! I made sure to eat it too. The restaurant had a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, and I enjoyed the food. I will definitely visit again!

Friday 12:05, Handmade soba at Takahashi-san's. No customers when I arrived, but one group came in after me. I found this place on my way to another restaurant and since it wasn't listed on Tabelog (a restaurant review site), I registered it and visited later. I ordered the weekday lunch set which included finely ground 100% buckwheat soba and miso rice with minced chicken (with a side dish) for 1,100 yen. There were tatami seating (for one person x3) and table seating (for four people x2), and I was given the choice of either. I chose the tatami seating. The orange light and traditional Japanese interior created a unique atmosphere. The set arrived at 12:12. Since no other orders were in, the service was quick. I was advised to start with the soba with just salt, and that they would bring soba broth later. The soba was thin and easy to eat. The broth had a rich color similar to Kanto-style broth. It was delicious with both salt and broth. The miso rice with minced chicken and side dishes (that day was rolled omelette and pumpkin) made me quite full. The group that came in later ordered other dishes in medium size. I finished with soba broth to settle my stomach. The location is not very noticeable unless you're looking for it, but since it's close by, I would like to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

It's delicious, a bit off the beaten path but even tourists come in and it gets pretty crowded even late at night.

It's a great deal for lunch, but it's too filling. It's delicious. I recommend trying the coarse-ground buckwheat soba noodles. I wonder if they can make it for me.

The staff is very friendly! It's a great store with generous portions and delicious food. I also tried the fresh noodles to take home and cook, they were great! The cost performance is also good.

The set meal with coarsely ground and thinly shredded meat, along with miso-flavored minced meat rice, was added. The rice is delicious. I'm not sure about the soba noodles. I'm not willing to pay for parking again to go there.

Around Gojo Bridge, I heard that it used to be a flower district with tea houses. I visited a restaurant that still retains that atmosphere and had soba noodles. They offer a variety of local sake. I had the Aramaki Soba Set for 900 yen.

This is a restaurant that serves delicious soba noodles that even soba lovers will be impressed with. The coarse-ground soba noodles have a rich flavor and are highly recommended! The building itself is an old tea house, which adds to the charm of the place.

It's a nice atmosphere at this restaurant, but there are times when you enter and they don't notice you, which is a bit disappointing.
