After placing my order, I was given a ticket and the food was brought to my table. The corn potage was creamy and had a hint of sweetness from the corn, while the hot sandwich had a nice balance of the salty ham, tangy mustard, and gooey melted cheese. The combination of the two dishes was delightful, especially on a hot day. The texture of the focaccia was interesting with its soft and crispy exterior. It's great for working as well as passing time during a short wait. And, I absolutely love their carrot cake. It has a visually striking appearance with a moist and dense texture, thanks to the generous amount of honey in the batter. It's filled with finely chopped carrots, nuts, raisins, chocolate chips, and orange peel, creating a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity. The subtle spiciness adds a nice touch. The thick cream cheese frosting on top is another highlight, creamy and mild with a hint of orange peel. It's just so delicious. It's not too overpowering, making it a great choice even for those new to carrot cake. On this day, I ended up staying for a long time, so I also ordered a Blend Coffee and a Lemon & Ginger Soda. However, sometimes you come across a reasonably priced city bakery with good vibes and only two seats available - it might just be a coincidence, but it's a pleasant find. Today, there were no seats available so I got a takeout. The pound cake I had at home was delicious - it had a banana and chocolate flavor with chocolate chips, so the taste changed when you hit the chocolate part, making it a fun experience. In the sweltering heat, I stopped by here to pass the time and cool off. "THE CITY BAKERY Tokyu Plaza Ginza Store" is a shop that I've been seeing a lot lately. They offer not only regular bread, but also proper hamburgers and sandwiches for eat-in lunch or dinner, with a wide variety of drinks to choose from. I used it as a cafe and ordered their homemade lemonade. By the way, they offer hot/iced water/soda, and this time I chose water. It cost 660 yen. It's quite strong if you drink it as is, but if you stir it well, it becomes super cold and refreshing, making it delicious. I was so thirsty that it disappeared in no time. If the timing is right, I might try the hamburger that the couple next to me was eating. The grass looked greener on the other side. It was a feast.

As the sourness gradually fades, sweetness takes over, flooding in one after another. Even when the sourness is gone, the lemon scent remains, refreshing my mouth. The aroma of the pie crust's butter gently spreads in my mouth at the end, urging me to take another bite. Crunchy, smooth, and velvety textures repeat in my mouth as the lemon pie disappears. The scent of Earl Grey bergamot marks the end. It feels like summer... I think to myself. I love it.

I came to this shop because I wanted to have delicious bread and coffee. I had heard good things about the bread at this shop before, when I was at Shinagawa Station's Konan Exit. The shop is located underground, so it seems like a bit of a hidden gem. Even though it was quite late, the shop was still open, but there were not many bread options left. However, considering the time, I think they had a decent variety available. On this day, I bought the chocolate bread and a flaky pastry bread. I enjoyed them in the shop's eating area. The taste was reliably delicious! Despite the bread having been baked for some time, the flakiness was still amazing. Whether it's in Naka-Meguro, Shinagawa, or here, this shop never disappoints. I was told that the night view from the nearby Tokyu Plaza is very nice, so I stopped by on my way back. Surprisingly, there were not many people, so it seems like a hidden spot. I recommend it as a little break during a stroll through Ginza.

The other day, I went for breakfast and my child loved it so much that we went back for lunch the next day. Unlike breakfast, it was quite crowded during lunchtime on a holiday. We had to reserve a table first before ordering, so my child was eager to eat the hamburger quickly! This time, we tried the hamburger and pita sandwich. The pita sandwich had a lot of vegetables and was nice. The hamburger and fries were delicious, and my child really liked the hamburger. It seems to have more volume than it looks! The homemade lemonade was a bit sweet for my taste, but my child loved it. I personally enjoyed the salsa sauce that came with the fries, as it matched well and overall, it was a good experience. On this day, I was wandering around the Yurakucho Ginza area. Even though I had eaten a lot for lunch and wasn't very hungry, I decided to grab something to eat before heading home, so I came here. I have been to Shinagawa's The City Bakery a few times before, but I had never tried their plate menu. I still remember vividly the tuna sandwich on pretzel croissant that I had before - the croissant was so delicious! This time, I ordered coffee and a plate. For just a little over 1000 yen, you get a generous portion of vegetables and bread. The beet dressing was refreshing and very tasty. You can add a drink to the plate for an extra 200 yen, and let me tell you, it's definitely worth it! The coffee was delicious and the value for money was great. It was around 5:30 pm on a Sunday, and there were plenty of seats available, so I could relax and enjoy my time there. Most cafes and cafe restaurants in this area are usually crowded. Of course, on my way out, I couldn't resist buying a pretzel croissant for breakfast the next day. I lightly toasted it before eating, and as expected, it was delicious. I definitely want to come back here again.
