I visited the cafe after a long time and decided to try the recommended matcha cake by the staff. The cake was slightly chewy and had a satisfying texture, with the bitterness of the matcha sauce and powder complementing the fluffy cream perfectly. It was delicious and priced at only 350 yen! I also ordered a cocoa drink, which came with a small cookie on the rim of the cup, making it look cute. Although I ended up ordering both a sweet treat and a sweet drink, next time I plan to enjoy the sweetness of the cake with a straight coffee or tea. It would be easier to order if they offered a cake set during cafe hours, but since the cafe is mainly focused on the bar for international guests at night, they may not emphasize the cafe as much. This might be why it's not too crowded and can be considered a hidden gem cafe. I hope it continues to be a hidden gem, but I also wish they would showcase their delicious menu more to make it easier to find tasty items. Thank you for the meal.

Located just one street east of Shichijo Kawaramachi, there is a quiet hostel with a cafe and bar on the first floor. It's a nice spot for a little break since there aren't many cafes or bars around here. You pay at the counter with cash on delivery, and there are comfy sofas in the spacious back area. On a hot summer day like this, it's a great place to relax after visiting clients for work. I remembered when I visited with a friend from overseas, they ordered a matcha latte, so I decided to try an iced one. The best part is that the drink prices are very affordable! It's a common feature in bars on the first floor of hostels or guesthouses. And the taste is delicious too! The staff are friendly and seem used to dealing with foreigners, which is nice.

A friend recommended this cafe for their matcha latte, so we decided to give it a try. I ordered a mango smoothie which was delicious, with fresh mango on top. My friend enjoyed their matcha latte, which had a nice, calming sweetness. The cafe is run by a hostel, so it tends to be popular with foreign customers at night, but when we visited during the day, it was quiet and we were able to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere. It's a hidden gem in this area with not many cafes around.
