My family went to the Beijing cuisine restaurant Donghuacan for a luxurious lunch. It was a 10-course meal with various appetizers such as jellyfish salad, steamed chicken, barbecue pork, and squid. We enjoyed sharing the dishes on the round table. The crab and shark fin soup was light and delicious. The fried dishes included shrimp balls and spring rolls with glass noodles. The spicy stir-fried prawns were also very tasty. The Beijing duck with sweet bean sauce and spring onions was the highlight of the meal.

This Chinese restaurant is a favorite of ours for dinner, and we are always satisfied. My child loves the spring rolls here, so we visit frequently. Personally, I adore the sweet and spicy stir-fried large shrimp. Every dish here is delicious, so I am grateful. However, I realize I have been sticking to the same dishes, so I am thinking I should try something different next time.

I wanted to eat delicious Chinese food and came here. You can enjoy various dishes such as abalone simmered in oyster sauce, sweet and sour pork, spicy stir-fried jumbo shrimp, spring rolls, soup, and fried rice. Everything was delicious. For dessert, we had candied sweet potatoes, red bean-filled fried mochi, and almond tofu. We ate a variety of dishes and our stomachs were full. I am very satisfied.

I have been frequenting my favorite Chinese restaurant recently. My family loves their spring rolls, so we often order them. On this day, we also had dishes like Bang Bang Chicken, Shrimp Chili, Sweet and Sour Pork, and Fried Chicken. I was so eager to eat that I forgot to take photos, but trust me, the food was delicious. While it's not cheap, I personally find it worth the price overall.

I have been visiting this restaurant frequently lately. My child is obsessed with their spring rolls and we always order a large quantity of them. I only have pictures of the spring rolls, but we have been trying various dishes and everything is delicious. There are no mistakes here. One particular favorite of mine is the spicy stir-fried prawns. It's a bit spicy but the balance between the prawns and the spiciness is perfect. This dish is also a favorite of mine.

I want to eat delicious Chinese food in the northern area, so I have been searching for various options. Among the restaurants known for their delicious food, I particularly like this place because it is spacious and comfortable, unlike other places where you have to wait in long lines or be packed in a crowded space. The food is delicious overall and the prices are reasonable, so I am very grateful to be able to dine here. The atmosphere is also nice, making it a great place to enjoy a meal peacefully. All the dishes are tasty, so I look forward to trying more in the future.

Two weeks ago, I treated my son to a meal, so I decided to return the favor by taking him out for Chinese food. It had been a long time since my son had been taken here, as he used to come when he was younger but hadn't been brought here in a while. My wife and I went with him in the evening. Due to the impact of the coronavirus, we had been avoiding eating out, so it had been over a year since I last visited. (My son's wife stayed home with the grandchild, so we decided to get some takeout for her.) Since it had been a while, we decided to order the dishes we wanted to eat the most. We ordered the Spicy Stir-Fried Jumbo Shrimp for 2,700 yen (excluding tax), Spring Rolls for 1,500 yen (excluding tax), Fried Chicken for 1,500 yen (excluding tax), and Rice for 200 yen (excluding tax) for the three of us. In addition, we also ordered another favorite, Fried Noodles for 1,000 yen (excluding tax). The Spicy Stir-Fried Jumbo Shrimp is the best dish here, with a sweet chili sauce base that is both sweet and spicy. The pre-fried plump jumbo shrimp are really delicious. The seasoning is light and mild, making it a dish you can keep eating. The Spring Rolls, another classic here, are filled with minced pork, bamboo shoots, and chives, giving them a great texture. I really like the unique smell of the frying oil here. The Fried Chicken, like the Spring Rolls, has a unique oily aroma and the large, juicy chicken thighs are really tasty. They are served with Sichuan pepper salt and chili. The Fried Noodles have fried noodles topped with plenty of mixed vegetables. The ingredients include scallops, shrimp, pork, squid, plenty of vegetables, and wood ear mushrooms, all with a nice texture. The flavor is exquisite, and I order it every time. It's also great with vinegar and chili for flavor variation. I left a little bit of the Spring Rolls, Jumbo Shrimp, and Fried Chicken for my son's wife to try, and I added a Five-Color Fried Rice for takeout for her. Oh, the taste after a year was really delicious. We used to go here about twice a year, but when you eat out again after over a year, you start craving the taste again. Next time, I want to try some new dishes that I haven't had before. The service here is also very attentive.

The food is delicious and we often use this restaurant for large groups. The course meals come out at a good pace and we never have to wait long. The fried mochi and sweet potatoes at the end of the meal are amazing, even when we're full we always have room for them. We definitely want to keep using this restaurant in the future.

On this day, I took my elderly parents, who have trouble walking, shopping. On the way back, it was lunchtime and my dad insisted on having the fried chicken and spring rolls from this place, so we decided to go. We usually make reservations, but since it was just before opening on a Sunday afternoon, I wondered if we could go without one. We arrived and were warmly welcomed, as our reservation was scheduled for 1 o'clock. The service here is quite attentive, which I really like. As expected, more and more customers started to arrive, so it seems like it's popular on weekends. I always think I can finish the food this time, but... The fried chicken was 1,400 yen, spring rolls 1,500 yen, fried noodles 1,000 yen, and surprisingly, my dad wanted a Chinese bento box for 1,500 yen. And of course, people of this age always seem to want beer, so we ordered a glass of beer for 400 yen... In about 10 minutes, the dishes started to arrive. The fried noodles were topped with plenty of pork belly, scallops, shrimp, squid, and vegetables, all with an elegant flavor. It tasted delicious with vinegar and mustard. Next, the spring rolls arrived. They were freshly fried, hot, and filled with glass noodles, shiitake mushrooms, minced meat, and chives, giving off a fragrant aroma and a crispy texture. They were also delicious! Then, the bento box arrived. It contained sweet and sour pork, tofu skin and vegetable with kudzu sauce, and shrimp tempura. It also came with pickled vegetables, corn, and egg soup. The sweet and sour pork had large pieces of meat and a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors, which was also delicious. The shrimp tempura was okay, but the tofu skin was quite bland. Finally, the fried chicken arrived. It was quite a generous portion, with large juicy chicken thighs, totaling 7 pieces. They were crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, with a fragrant aroma. It was the best fried chicken I've had recently. My mom can't eat chicken, so my dad and I shared it, but as I suspected, we couldn't finish it all and had to take the leftovers home. It was definitely too much food for three people. They seemed like they wanted to order more, but I'm glad we stopped. This place is where you can enjoy delicious Chinese food to your heart's content. The prices are reasonable, but I keep coming back. 4.0

On the middle day of a 3-day weekend, my father, who is now in a wheelchair, has been finding it difficult to go out for meals due to his condition. However, he really wanted to go out, so my mother, father, and I went to a Chinese restaurant that he loves. The restaurant was always a favorite of my father's, ever since he took me there when I was young. We made a reservation in advance and the restaurant was full, just like the next day. It seems to be quite popular among older customers with refined tastes. We ordered cold sesame squid salad for 1,400 yen, spring rolls for 1,500 yen, fried chicken for 1,400 yen, fried noodles for 1,000 yen, and five-color fried rice for 700 yen (excluding tax). The dishes were all delicious and well-prepared, especially the squid salad, spring rolls, fried chicken, fried noodles, and fried rice. The service was also excellent, and my parents were very happy to have a meal out after a long time. They even asked me to bring them back again soon. The restaurant is definitely a reliable choice with consistently good food and service. 4.0 stars.

This is definitely a standout restaurant of traditional Chinese cuisine in Kyoto, but it was my first time visiting the Rakuhoku branch. The menu is slightly different from the main branch. I tried the spring rolls, lettuce wraps, fried rice, and yakisoba with thick sauce, all of which were classic dishes. The jasmine tea served as a complimentary service was fragrant, and the almond jelly and mango pudding were also superb. While there are many delicious Chinese restaurants, I hope this place continues to stick to its traditional roots. Parking is available and you can enjoy a leisurely meal here. It's a restaurant I would like to visit again with my family.

I was taken to lunch. When we arrived, the place was just clearing out a group, so we had the whole place to ourselves, which was funny. We had a bento box with sweet and sour pork, shrimp tempura, stir-fried vegetables, and rice, along with egg soup and pickled vegetables on the side. Everything was delicious and I especially enjoyed the stir-fried vegetables. The bento box menu seems to change regularly, so there are many different options to try. The atmosphere was calm and the staff were very friendly, making the meal a pleasant experience. I would love to visit again if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

A friend recommended this place as the best spot for delicious Chinese food. I often go there for lunch and my go-to is the 1500 yen Chinese bento box. It's divided into four sections, allowing you to enjoy a variety of flavors in just the right amount. My favorite dish, the green pepper shredded pork, is always included. While it may be a bit inconvenient to get there without a car, the atmosphere is cozy with regular customers, and the consistent taste of the food is exceptional. I love having options like this familiar restaurant to add to my list of go-to places.

I have been to the Toho Chinese Restaurant at the foot of the Shijo Ohashi Bridge several times, but this time I stopped by for a meal before heading to Kurama and Kitayama. Unlike the Shijo location, it seems they don't have water dumplings on the menu. Also, since it was during the Obon period, they didn't have the Chinese bento box I was looking forward to for lunch. Hmm, ordering individual items means I can't try a variety of dishes. But what I can't miss out on is the mixed fried rice and shrimp chili. The shrimp dishes here are such a great deal, right? The shrimp is big and juicy, with a generous portion. As always, the service and taste at this branch were top-notch. Delicious!

Our family always ends up eating Chinese food for some reason after visiting the temple in Gojo with our family. You might think that when in Kyoto, you should eat traditional Japanese cuisine, but for some reason we always end up at a Chinese restaurant. In this case, we usually go to the main branch of "Toho Saikan" near Shijo-Ohashi, but today we went to the Rakuhoku branch. This branch has a parking lot underneath the restaurant and also has a partnership with nearby coin parking lots. It is located in Kitayama, one of Kyoto's most luxurious residential areas, away from the hustle and bustle, offering a calm atmosphere. We managed to park our car in the restaurant's parking lot and entered. Despite it being the middle of Golden Week in Kyoto, we were able to enter without much of a crowd. The staff opened the door for us like doormen at a luxury hotel. I felt a bit out of place dressed like this, but I sat down. Now, it's time to order. At the main branch of Toho Saikan, they don't have noodle soup, so at this Rakuhoku branch, I ordered the Sanxian noodle soup. It's a noodle soup with squid, shrimp, scallops, bamboo shoots, wood ear mushrooms, and greens. The soup is light and has a luxurious taste that you can keep sipping on, but it comes with a sauce that adds richness when you add it. The ingredients are all large, especially the shrimp, which are plump and not something you'd find at just any restaurant. So, I also ordered the famous shrimp chili dish from Toho Saikan. The sauce is not very spicy, but it has a slightly spicy flavor. The shrimp is large and plump, just like before. Oh, so satisfying! My family had the daily Chinese bento box for 1,500 yen (crab and shrimp tempura, stir-fried pork and bamboo shoots, rice, pickled vegetables, and soup), and yakisoba. I tried a bit and everything was delicious. The only disappointment was that this Rakuhoku branch didn't have the water dumplings that the main branch has. I was a bit disappointed because I was looking forward to them, but overall, the variety of dishes made up for it. Of course, the service was top-notch, and with the quality of the food and service provided, you might expect to pay a lot more in Ginza or Akasaka in Tokyo, but the value for money is good here. Another day of delicious food!

I stopped by the Toko Chinese Restaurant in the Rakuhoku area because I had a craving for sweet and sour pork since morning. I parked my car in the parking lot below and went up to the second floor. I was hoping they had a set meal, but they only had Chinese bento boxes available, with no sweet and sour pork included. So, I decided to order fried rice and sweet and sour pork separately. It has been a while since I last visited the main branch, so I cannot compare the taste, but the food here was delicious. Both dishes had a light flavor, and I finished them quickly. I would like to try more dishes next time, so I think it's better to go to a Chinese restaurant with a group of people.
