I ordered the Kalbi & Harami set, the upper hormone set, Sanchu, bean sprouts, and cabbage. I placed my order using an iPad attached to the counter. It was a bit difficult to order additional items once I started grilling because the iPad was right in front of the grill and it was hot. The menu was simple and easy to order from. I was able to eat a satisfying meal in just 30 minutes. I was happy with the great value of the Happy Hour set!

Opposite JR Kyoto Station's Hachijo Exit, there is a neat little yakiniku restaurant. I wasn't particularly craving yakiniku, but the sign outside advertising "All-you-can-drink lemon sour for 500 yen per hour" caught my attention. It was around 3 pm on a Saturday when I entered. The interior had table seating with only couples. I sat at the counter and ordered a lemon sour. They served it in a teapot, and refills were brought promptly. It was a unique and cost-effective all-you-can-drink deal! On the other hand, I ordered yakiniku as a snack, but ended up ordering too much without realizing the prices were a bit steep. The meat was brought mechanically, and the quality didn't match the price. In the end, I only spent 500 yen on drinks, but the yakiniku, including tongue, hormone, kalbi, and harami for two people, cost almost 5,000 yen. I ended up getting drunk alone in the evening.

I think the taste is reasonable for the price. The restaurant is clean and the two staff members were working hard despite being understaffed.

It comes in a small pitcher, but you'll drink it in no time. The strawberry is just frozen strawberry, and the lemon is very fruity and delicious. I also ordered some meat and rice dishes. The tongue and kalbi were tasty! The adult kalbi cup was a perfect way to finish the meal. I will definitely visit again!

August 29th is a special day in Japan known as "Yakiniku Day" due to the wordplay on the date. To celebrate, I decided to visit a bathhouse on the 3rd floor below Kyoto Tower, followed by dinner at a budget-friendly yakiniku restaurant called "Yakiniku Yaruki Kyoto Station". The restaurant has a bright and clean atmosphere, and I was seated at the counter with an individual grill in front of me, allowing me to enjoy yakiniku without worrying about others. I ordered the Wagyu Upper Kalbi Set (200g) for 1,980 yen, along with Wagyu Upper Mino (100g) for 790 yen and Wagyu Yukke for 890 yen. The Upper Kalbi set came with rice, soup, and kimchi, and the meat was well-marbled and delicious. The total bill came to 4,020 yen, which I found to be reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the meat. It was a satisfying meal, and I left feeling content.

It would be better to order 200g instead of 100g. I thought the taste was just delicious!

If I had been more hungry, it would have cost over 4000 yen, just like the previous place I ate. In that case, I thought it would be better for me to pay 7000 yen at my usual favorite restaurant and enjoy a little bit of delicious meat. The only other customers were two young women. It's a tough world out there... I savored the yakiniku experience as expected.
