When I tried to eat at Nagoya Station, everywhere was crowded, so I returned to Kyoto Station and found that everywhere was also crowded (laughs). Well, I wanted to eat sushi, so I went to "Kanazawa Maimon Sushi" in Porta. It's a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, but they have a nice selection of delicious fish from Kanazawa at reasonable prices. I can't forget the sushi I ate at a chain restaurant in Kanazawa. In Kyoto, the Kanazawa sushi at Laughing Crab was overflowing with toppings, it was a truly happy dish. There were many Hokuriku specialties like white shrimp and blackthroat seaperch. The same restaurant is also in Lucua, but for some reason, the Kyoto branch is even more delicious.

Located in a convenient spot for waiting for Kyoto's JR local trains and Shinkansen, I always end up stopping by here again and again. Just seeing the sign makes me want to grab some sushi and head home. Today, I had a delicious assortment of maguro (tuna), buri toro (yellowtail belly), ikura (salmon roe), kanpachi (amberjack), and aji ara-jiru (mackerel soup). The sushi is always fresh and I never regret coming here. I get lost in the deliciousness and forget to just have a quick bite! It was so tasty - thank you for the meal.

On the way back from my trip to Kyoto, I chose to visit this restaurant located in a building directly connected to the station called Porta. I got a ticket around 5:30 PM. Although it showed a wait time of 52 minutes for 14 groups, the actual wait was about 30 minutes. We were seated earlier than expected. The sushi pieces were large and satisfying. The tasting of various eel dishes allowed us to enjoy the fluffy eel with salt, wasabi, and sweet sauce. Highly recommended.

I tried the seared mackerel and a recommended 3-piece assortment (raw octopus, cuttlefish, and horse mackerel), which included the recommended cuttlefish for today. Since it mainly consisted of white fish, I enjoyed it with ponzu sauce. I also tried the limited-time summer roll, which featured horse mackerel with myoga, green onion, and chopped shiso leaves for a refreshing taste. Although I wanted to have sake as well, I decided to save it for next time. Overall, the sushi was great, and I had a satisfying meal.
