This Starbucks is located next to Tsutaya bookstore. It was a busy weekend with anime events and art exhibitions nearby, so I decided to get a takeout and enjoy it in my car. The surroundings are beautiful, making it a pleasant experience to enjoy the view while sipping on my drink. The blackboard art is always lovely. Just a reminder to myself, I'll include it here.

I stopped by Starbucks on my way home after an event nearby. The indoor seating was full, so I sat at the terrace. I ordered a Chocolate Cocoa Danish and a hot coffee. The Danish had a thin, crispy crust and the chocolate wasn't too sweet, making it delicious. The tables on the terrace were spacious and relaxing.

Taking a little break with my usual matcha frappuccino♪ My son added various toppings to his drink. I came here for the cafe on the second floor, but it was booked for a private event in the afternoon, so I ended up at this Starbucks on the first floor. I visited Kinkaku-ji, Togetsukyo Bridge, Heian Shrine, Yasaka Shrine, and Fushimi Inari Shrine, but I was surprised by the large number of foreign tourists in Kyoto! There were fewer Japanese people. The Starbucks here almost made me feel like I was in a foreign country, haha.

Starbucks at Heian Shrine offers an Ice Blonde Latte with Oat Milk in a Tall size for 490 yen. I ordered it and received T-points because it's located in Tsutaya bookstore. The staff asked me if I would be dining in, which made me feel welcomed to stay longer. It seems like you can also read books here, so I might end up staying for a while.

Starbucks Coffee has expanded to various locations such as Okazaki Park, near Heian Shrine, and in front of Miyako Messe. If the first floor is full, you can go to the space on the third floor. Today, I had a cappuccino. The store was full.

It was the weekend, so it was extremely crowded. The layout was bad due to the crowds, especially with Tsutaya Bookstore adding to the chaos. People in wheelchairs and with strollers were struggling, and customers in line were helping each other out. The staff inside were running around like crazy, not paying attention to the dining area. The trash cans were overflowing, resembling a cup stacking art project. I ordered a Grande hot Americano but wanted to drink it quickly (it was too hot to drink right away), so I asked for some ice. The barista lady unexpectedly added two scoops of ice. I wanted to say something but couldn't because it was so busy. I ended up drinking my watered-down espresso outside (it was cold). A slightly sad memory.

I hurried to use my Starbucks ticket before it expires this month and made a detour (lol). It's hard to use a 700 yen ticket completely. So I thought, "I'll just get a large size." But then the lady suggested, "I recommend customizing with various toppings!" I had never customized my drink before, so I made my customization debut ε=ヾ(*・∀・)/ Thank you, kind lady! The Starbucks is connected to Tsutaya bookstore, so it has a stylish atmosphere surrounded by books!

I stopped by for a quick meeting. I've visited during concert intermissions before. There are plenty of seats outside to relax and take it easy. This time, I had drip coffee. It had a strong bitterness with just a hint of acidity, which I love. It was delicious. There's also a bookstore, so I recommend buying a book and taking your time. It's also close to Heian Shrine and art museums, so it's a good place to take a break.

I don't eat breakfast in the morning, but when I'm on a trip, I enjoy eating out. Today, I took a stroll in the heart of Higashiyama in Kyoto and decided to have a little something to eat at Starbucks. For lunch, I have a reservation for a set meal, so I just had half of a sausage muffin. I had it warmed up and cut at the store. The drink I chose was chai, but it turned out to be too sweet for my liking. The amount of bread was just right, and the muffin was delicious. After eating, I took a break in the courtyard at the Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art. I was feeling a bit tired from drinking too much last night, but the refreshing weather and the view of the sky helped me relax. When it was time for my reservation, I walked along the Takase River to the newly opened restaurant for today.

Located a 12-15 minute walk from Higashiyama Station, Starbucks Coffee Kyoto Okazaki Tsutaya Bookstore is a cafe right next to Heian Shrine, making it very convenient. It is connected to a bookstore, and with Wi-Fi available, it is the perfect spot for those who want to relax and read on their day off. I ordered the popular menu item, the Iced Black Tea. Starbucks, originally a coffee specialty shop, acquired Teavana, an American tea specialty shop, allowing them to offer authentic tea as well. The simple iced tea can be enjoyed with a taste similar to Japanese tea. When you're feeling a bit tired from sightseeing around Heian Shrine, be sure to visit this cafe. Bon appétit!

I went to a Starbucks near Heian Shrine to try the local Frappuccino called "Kyoto Hannari Matcha Kinako Frappuccino." The store is small but has a nice Kyoto atmosphere. I customized my drink by changing the milk to almond milk, using light syrup, and adding chocolate sauce on top. It was fun to customize my drink, and the drink with kinako powder had a strong Kyoto flavor. It was delicious!

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the opening of the first store in Ginza, a special drink called the "47 Jimoto Frappuccino" created by baristas from each prefecture is being sold until August 3rd. Located near the Kyoto City Kyocera Museum of Art, across the street from Nijo-dori, with the Heian Shrine's Otenmon gate on your right as you walk through Maruyama Park, you will find a terrace with a unique layout. This spot is nestled within Tsutaya Bookstore, with multiple entrances, but the line for the register is at the entrance facing Nijo-dori. There are plenty of terrace seats, and the cool interior with counter seats equipped with outlets was full, but it was easy to find a seat during the pandemic. I tried the following drink (excluding tax):
- Kyoto Hannari Matcha Kinako Frappuccino 620 yen
This was my sixth Jimoto Frappuccino. Kyoto is known for its matcha-flavored frappuccino, with white chocolate syrup and kinako added, and kinako topping the whipped cream. Soy is a key ingredient in Kyoto's traditional foods like tofu and yuba, so kinako was used. The nutty flavor of kinako complements the matcha well, with just the right amount of sweetness. There are many bus stops nearby, so be careful not to get on the wrong one.

This is a store located next to the Tsutaya bookstore at Rohm Theater Kyoto. In the middle, there is a kitchen with seating arranged around it. The design gives off a cool impression with spotlights, downlights, and a dark color scheme. The atmosphere is great due to the different seating layouts and designs depending on the location. The #26 Kyoto version Frappuccino from the Starbucks 25th-anniversary project "47 JIMOTO Frappuccino" is available from June 30th to August 3rd. This Frappuccino combines matcha and kinako flavors, representing the taste of Kyoto. The matcha base is mixed with white chocolate syrup and kinako, with kinako sprinkled on top of the whipped cream for a deliciously aromatic flavor. Despite its simple design, this Frappuccino ranks high among all the Frappuccinos I've tried.

On a Sunday afternoon, I casually visited by bike. Despite the state of emergency, there were a lot of people! The register had over 15 people lining up, it was very crowded. I was aiming for the outdoor terrace seating. The hojicha tea latte was delicious. The terrace had a lot of seats so surprisingly we were able to sit down quickly. The weather was perfect and we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves. There were many people with dogs, it was very soothing.

Rohm Theatre Kyoto, which I had been waiting for a year, celebrated its 5th anniversary with a Bunraku performance. Last year, it was canceled, so I was excited that it finally resumed. I arrived early and decided to take a break at the Starbucks next to the hall. I only planned to have a drink, but since I hadn't eaten lunch, I also ordered a yuzu citrus tea for 420 yen and a waffle for 250 yen. It was a warm day, so I enjoyed them on a bench outside. The tea was a bit too sweet for my liking, and the waffle was decent for its price. After quickly finishing my drink and food, I headed to the Bunraku performance. Bunraku is a traditional puppet theater art form, and the performance was captivating. The play was "Yumeji no Kado Matsuri" and featured talented performers like Kiritake Kantojiro, Yoshida Tamio, and the youngest narrator, Sekitayu. His performance was outstanding, and I look forward to seeing more of him in the future. Starbucks is a convenient option for a quick break when visiting Rohm Theatre, and I enjoyed the peaceful time on the bench outside while savoring my drink and snack. It's a great place to relax and enjoy the surroundings during this season.

A Starbucks located just south of Heian Shrine, closest to it. The interior is connected to Tsutaya, so photography inside the store is prohibited. Surrounded by a bookstore, the atmosphere is slightly different, but they have seating set up while maintaining social distance. There are also outdoor seats, but it's too hot at this time of year. The staff's friendliness and service are excellent, as expected of Starbucks. I ordered an iced coffee, which was the best option in the heat, although I couldn't relax much in the hot weather. Thank you for the meal.

Let's have udon for lunch. Head to Yamamoto Menjo to get there, first stop by Heian Shrine. Arrived at Okazaki Park parking lot at 8:45 am, and found out that they start distributing numbered tickets at 9 am due to the popularity of the restaurant. Some customers were already waiting inside the warm restaurant until it opens at 11 am, but I received my numbered ticket at 11:15 am. It will cost 1400 yen for parking for 3 hours, quite expensive... especially on holidays with no maximum limit. After visiting Heian Shrine and taking a leisurely stroll, I stumbled upon a Starbucks and Tsutaya bookstore. Tsutaya bookstore and Starbucks are perfect for killing time. Although Tsutaya in Daikanyama has a wide range of rare CDs to listen to, here at Okazaki Park, it's nice and pleasant. I had a Starbucks latte (380 yen) and a chocolate chunk scone (250 yen). It's been a while since I had a Starbucks latte. I used to like it when I was younger, but now I'm not sure what's so good about it. It's too mild for a latte, too much milk. But if you consider the cost including the time spent there, it's worth it. Waiting for udon with a book and Starbucks.

I bought bread for lunch and had a cafe time at Starbucks here. Despite it being February, the weather was a bit warm so I enjoyed it on the terrace. I had a Sakura Milk Frappuccino with the Torii gate of Heian Shrine in the distance as a backdrop. It had a refreshing sweetness, making me feel happy while drinking it. I think it's already sold out, but I'm looking forward to the next Sakura Cherry Frappuccino!

Starbucks is a typical chain, but the location was really great. It's near Heian Shrine, so it's perfect for a break after walking around. It was crowded, but the line moved quickly! I ordered the new menu item, Blue Apple. It didn't really taste like blue apple, but enjoying Starbucks while looking at the scenery outside was amazing. This area is so nice to walk around, so definitely check it out. There's also a Tsutaya bookstore attached, so picking out a book and reading while you drink is the best. You should definitely go check it out.
