◼️Overall Impression
I absolutely love this place! The sandwiches here are amazing, some of the best I've ever had. I highly recommend the Chicken Basket and the Pork Cutlet Sandwich! If you have room, definitely try the Egg Sandwich too! The Cheese Toast is also popular. The food here surpasses the typical cafe fare with its skilled cooking techniques and perfectly balanced flavors. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable.
◼️What I Ate
- Original Fried Chicken Basket (1200 yen)
- Original Pork Cutlet Sandwich (1200 yen)
- Egg Sandwich (980 yen)
- Budweiser beer (700 yen x 2)
◆Original Fried Chicken Basket (1200 yen)
This was amazing! Even though I usually don't like chicken breast, the chicken here was so tender and moist, not dry at all! It was flavorful and light, not heavy at all. You can adjust the seasoning with the salt on the table. The thick slices of bread with plenty of margarine were a great accompaniment. The pickled onions and carrots added a refreshing touch. The portion size was satisfying, and the value for money was excellent.
◆Original Pork Cutlet Sandwich (1200 yen)
This is the best pork cutlet sandwich in Japan, in my opinion. The thin, crispy cutlets were delicious, and the finely shredded cabbage balanced out the richness of the meat. The sandwich was well-crafted and perfectly put together. It may not look as delicious in the photos, but trust me, it was amazing!
◆Egg Sandwich (980 yen)
The soft, runny eggs in this sandwich were of the highest quality. They looked delicious and tasted even better! If you want to try different varieties, the Mixed Sandwich with the egg sandwich included is also recommended.
◼️Portion Size
You can rest assured that if you can't finish your meal, you can take the leftovers home. We ordered three dishes for two people, but one dish per person would be enough for most people. If you want to try a variety of items, it might be better to gather a larger group or summon me (I'm always ready to eat!).
◼️Service Speed
The restaurant may be understaffed, so it's best to go when you have time to spare. Some people were told it would take about an hour, but we didn't have to wait that long when we went. There were reviews mentioning that you can only order food once, but I'm not sure if that's the case.
◼️Seating
All seats are tables, and the restroom is Japanese-style, so it's best to use the restroom before entering the restaurant.
◼️Crowdedness
It seems to vary depending on the day, but it can get busy, and they may sell out early, so it's best to go early.
◼️Customer Service
Some reviews mentioned the typical Asakusa-style service, but when we went, we were greeted by a very friendly and beautiful lady.
◼️Difficulty for a Woman Dining Alone
Easy!
