This time, I focused on sightseeing in Fushimi to Uji in Kyoto. I stayed at Urban Hotel Kyoto and explored the top of Fushimi Inari. Next, I visited Manpuku-ji in Obakusan for a stroll, but unfortunately Tamakitei was closed. So, I decided to have lunch at the university cafeteria inside Kyoto University Uji Campus. Unlike Hyakumanben, this campus cafeteria has a more casual atmosphere, making it easy for the general public to enter. It has a loft-like design with plenty of space. I enjoyed a meal of tofu and vegetable sukiyaki-style stew, pumpkin stew, and multi-grain rice for just 366 yen. The cost performance is excellent, thanks to the cooperative! Especially, the multi-grain rice had a delicious flavor similar to red rice and was enjoyable on its own. Compared to the old university cafeterias, the taste is good, and you can have a healthy meal with the cooperative's unique nutritional balance display. Since it's not far from Obaku Station, it might be a good choice for a budget-friendly lunch after spending money at the temples.

A was in charge of organizing the class reunion, but due to being busy, it was left neglected for about 2 years. Finally, around the end of June, A contacted the equally lazy "organizer number two" and discussed arrangements via email. One day, when A mentioned being on a business trip to Kyoto University, organizer number two asked for "Kyoto University Curry." A was puzzled about what was so special about the Co-op curry there. Maybe they were asking to get takeout. A worried that organizer number two might already be losing their memory. A decided to have lunch at the Co-op. The Co-op there doesn't discriminate too much against non-members, which is good. Unlike another place that boldly discriminates with "visitor" prices. In that sense, A thinks Kyushu University Co-op is the best. They don't discriminate against non-members and even sell books at a 5% discount. But I digress. A tried the regular curry at the Co-op. A small size cost 248 yen. They also have vegetable curry and pork cutlet curry. This is how students and staff survive. A remembered when curry used to cost 90 yen. The taste remains the same as before (^_^;). No, I made a mistake. The Co-op menu is much more extensive now than it used to be. What's improved is that the receipt has nutritional analysis using the 3-group point system. Red is for protein, green for root vegetables, and yellow for carbohydrates. In those days, A finally encountered the fateful day when they found "President's Curry" at the second-floor store. It's in a retort pouch. Ah, this must be it! Organizer number two wasn't losing their memory after all. A bought the President's Curry right away to make up for their ignorance. But was shocked by the price. It costs around 650 yen! Upon asking around, it seems to have a special recipe. It must be delicious (^_^). After the class reunion ended, A was able to hand the President's Curry to organizer number two. But A forgot to buy one for themselves. During another business trip, A bought it again, without tasting it yet. A is wondering when they will open it.
