The price hike starting in October is hitting the household budget hard. It feels like we're drifting away from Sushiro, but in the end, we still end up going there. They have a limited-time "overflowing shirasu battleship," but it feels a bit lacking in terms of overflowing. The taste is okay. The kitsune udon seems like it has less udon... I hope they have a kitsune increase plan in the future. It's clear that foot traffic has decreased since October, maybe because it's become less convenient to go after the price hike?! Despite everything, I wonder if everyone will come back after a while. The taste is still delicious, so I have high hopes for the future.

This shop is not far from Nishi-Maizuru Station. It is located along National Route 27 with a spacious parking lot, but it is always almost full, indicating its popularity. Luckily, there were a couple of empty spaces today, so I was able to park. Inside the shop, there were no seats available in the town, but it seemed like there were a few seats open at the counter. It's amazing how popular Maizuru Seafood is. I tried the limited edition 3-piece nigiri set. First, I had the tuna 3-piece nigiri. It was of decent quality, unlike the shop in Mita. Next, I had the shellfish 3-piece nigiri, which cost only 100 yen. I also had a large red clam. It seems that the shop in Mita was a bit unique, as I didn't have any issues at the Fukuchiyama and Maizuru locations. However, when I looked at the origin labels, I realized that I may not be able to use the shop frequently. I'm getting older, so I'm satisfied with just a little bit. That's enough for me.

On New Year's Day, while traveling from Osaka to Fukui, I visited this restaurant. Many rice bowl shops were closed, so I tried to visit Sushiro Kawashi 173, but they only started serving food in the restaurant from 12 o'clock. Since I couldn't wait for 30 minutes, I left and came back around 1 o'clock. I ordered miso soup with clams first because I was hungover, and then ordered 7 plates of sushi and gunkan. It cost around 1300 yen. The vinegar rice with clam soup was perfect for my tired stomach. I was so eager to eat that I completely forgot to take a picture. How disappointing...

Sushiro has finally opened in Maizuru as well, after expanding nationwide. The parking lot is spacious, so it's always popular. The inside is decently sized, so it's a popular spot but you can usually get in without much of a wait. During the day, there are many mothers with children, so it seems to attract a lot of housewives. I often prefer to get takeout rather than dine in, but they always make it on time and I think the sushi is delicious. The staff are also efficient and make the dining experience pleasant.
