When you come to Tokyo, one place you'll want to visit is this shop. I went there right after they opened in the morning. For breakfast, I ordered a mail blend coffee (on the bitter side) and a Taiwanese pineapple rare cheesecake. The coffee seemed even more delicious this time. The mail blend had a stronger bitterness and depth of flavor... or maybe it's just my imagination, but I welcome any positive changes in taste! The rare cheesecake maintained its smoothness and mildness, just as delicious as before. The sweetness and freshness of the pineapple sauce paired perfectly with the rare cheesecake. Overall, it was even more delicious and satisfying! Looking forward to more improvements in the future.

On September 10, 2023, I visited a cafe with a refreshing exterior located south on the Mito Highway and intersecting with Jizo-zaka Street. I arrived around 1 pm and upon entering, I was guided by someone who seemed to be the owner to the seating area at the back. The first floor had a counter and a few small tables. Up the stairs, there was a sofa seating area for about 4-5 people, and beyond that, a spacious floor with a large table for 8 people and 3 smaller tables. It had a somewhat hidden cafe charm. The cafe overlooked a park outside, creating a bright atmosphere. Since I was alone, I chose a corner of the large table to sit. There were two groups of four customers already there, so there was space available. A female staff member brought a menu written on a blackboard. I ordered the Rare Cheesecake for 460 yen and the Cold Brew Iced Coffee for 640 yen. The blackboard listed several sauce options for the cheesecake, and I chose the strawberry sauce from Fujimi Town, Nagano Prefecture. It's worth noting that on the blackboard, the town's name "Fujimi" had the character "美" (beauty) instead of "見" (view), which added a touch of elegance. The order was quickly served. The round-shaped Rare Cheesecake on a plate looked beautiful and tasted incredibly delicious. It was the most refreshing and rich cheesecake I've ever had. The Cold Brew Iced Coffee was also delicious, with a deep and high-quality flavor that had a hint of sweetness behind the bitterness. I was very satisfied with the experience and would love to visit again when in the area. Thank you for the meal.

When I opened the door, the master greeted me with a gentle smile. The interior of the shop was filled with the warmth of wood. I already felt like I loved this place! I was interested in the toast menu, but I ordered the signature rare cheese and coffee. The cheese was light and easy to eat, suitable even for those who don't like cheese. I chose the fig sauce, and it was delicious. The coffee was a blend, and it paired well with the cheese. I would like to try their specialty coffee next time and enjoy it slowly.

When I visited this area, I tried their morning set. The morning set includes ginger syrup, salad, toast, jam + egg, and coffee for just around 600 yen, which is a fantastic value. If this restaurant was nearby, I would definitely visit it regularly.

It was like, "What a stylish cafe in such a place!" We went there for coffee after lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It was so hot that I chose the cold brew iced coffee without hesitation. The blueberry rare cheesecake was also recommended, so I tried it. The coffee was not too strong, had a nice aroma, and went down smoothly. It was just perfect for the hot summer. The rare cheesecake was like ice cream, rich and delicious, especially when paired with blueberries. There are various sauces available as well, and they even have original batches at the store. Just a heads up, you might need to order another drink after about an hour and a half!

Cloudy Sunday around 12:15 PM visit. About 30% of the seats are filled. By 12:30 PM, more people start coming in, filling up to about 80%. Plage Blend 530 yen Rare Cheesecake (Seasonal Fruit Sauce) 460 yen The rare cheesecake looks more like cream cheese. Smooth texture when eaten. The sauce includes classic blueberry and raspberry options, but they also offer seasonal options. Today, they had passion fruit from Okinawa, so I chose that. The passion fruit was served cut in half and it was delicious! It paired perfectly with the cheesecake, almost a bit moving. Plage Blend There are Plage and Mer blends, with Plage being milder and Mer having a bitter taste. When I looked up the meanings later, "Plage" means beach in French. "Mer" means sea. A clever naming choice. You should definitely try the rare cheesecake when you visit here. Even the coffee cups have the words "Coffee & Rare Cheesecake Shop" on them. The warm white wooden furniture creates a cozy and comforting cafe atmosphere.

I visited around 2 pm on Saturday and had black sesame pudding and KANIGAWA black tea. The black sesame pudding had two layers, with the top layer having a firm pudding texture and the bottom layer containing sesame seeds. The combination of the fragrant black sesame, sweet honey, and cream was delicious. The KANIGAWA black tea, which is produced in Okinawa, was unique and had a nice balance of astringency and bitterness. The atmosphere in the restaurant was nice, with many people enjoying desserts like rare cheesecake and pudding. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful, and the place felt clean and welcoming. Thank you for the meal.

When I arrived at the restaurant, I made eye contact with a man inside who seemed to be stretching. It was a holiday at 10:35 AM and the restaurant was fully booked. They asked me to wait in the park behind the restaurant and said they would call me when a table was available. The master and staff seemed very kind. I already had a rough idea of what I wanted to order, having had dumplings, sakura mochi, and two cups of tea earlier. I was feeling relaxed. I realized there were probably others waiting for a phone call too. At 11:15 AM, they called me and as I entered, I saw that a few other parties were also being seated at the same time. I like bitter drinks, so I chose the mail blend and selected a dessert from the chalkboard. I had been thinking about the apple cheesecake, but they didn't have it, so I went with the mango cheesecake. I was intrigued by the peanut pudding with the skin on. Personally, I prefer desserts where you can see the inside, but as I looked at the inside, I realized that someone might be looking back at me from the outside. It was a little awkward for a moment.

I visited the highly rated and popular Higashi Mukojima Coffee Shop that I had been curious about for a while! Their coffee and rare cheesecake are famous. The interior of the shop is clean, stylish, and cozy with a nice atmosphere. The menu on the blackboard also listed sweets like tarts, but this time I decided to try the rare cheesecake. I had it with the classic blueberry sauce. The cheesecake had a fluffy texture and looked cute like a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The blueberry sauce had plump blueberries and was delicious. I saw they had other sauces too, so I would like to try a different one next time. I think it's a wonderful shop that I want to visit again. Next time, I want to try going during the morning hours.

I visited this cafe when I was in Higashi-Mukojima. It is located along the Mito Kaido Street, walking from Hikifune Station towards Higashi-Mukojima Station. I tried the dark roast coffee, chai, coffee float, limited-time Noto summer blend, baked cheesecake, and sesame pudding with my companion. The coffee, homemade vanilla ice cream, baked cheesecake, and sesame pudding were delicious. The Noto summer blend had small berries similar to a mix of blueberries and haskap. The baked cheesecake could have had a bit more of a salty cheese flavor, and I wished the chai had a bit more spiciness. There was a young man sitting nearby who was typing loudly on his laptop, which was annoying. I asked the staff to address it, but it seemed like they couldn't bring themselves to do so, which was disappointing. I think it would be better if they prohibited bringing laptops and having phone conversations in the cafe.

I visited the restaurant "pua mana" in Higashi Mukojima, located on the surface of Koshu Kaido. The exterior is stylish with a renovated appearance, and the interior has many seats, including some in the back. This is a popular spot for authentic coffee, morning sets, and cheesecake during the day. You can choose between rare or baked cheesecake. Enjoy a relaxing time with authentic coffee and cheesecake. It's a great place to spend a leisurely afternoon off. Great place!

On a Sunday morning with no plans, I decided to visit a cafe for breakfast. I found a cafe that opens from 8:30 am on Sundays, located about a 5-minute walk from Hikifune Station on the Tobu Line, along the Mito Kaido. I arrived at 8:35 am and there were no other customers, just two more customers came in afterwards. They were all dining alone, seeming like regulars. I was seated in a spacious sofa seat on the second floor. I ordered the "Morning Set" for 690 yen and could choose between "mildly bitter Blanche coffee or strong Mel coffee." I chose the strong Mel coffee. The Morning Set included ginger syrup water, toast (Sanwa Laurent bread), egg (homemade mayonnaise), blueberry jam (homemade fruit sauce), salad (homemade dressing), and banana (morning energy). The coffee was not as bitter as I expected, but still easy to drink. I had never tried Sanwa Laurent bread before, but it was delicious with a fine texture and not too sweet. The toasted bread with homemade egg mayonnaise was also tasty. The salad with homemade dressing was refreshing and had a nice tangy flavor. It was a satisfying meal.

I visited in the early afternoon. As I entered, I noticed the constant flow of customers coming and going... it's definitely a popular local spot. I had a cold brew coffee and an egg sandwich. The egg sandwich was delicious. Not just the sandwich itself, but also the salad, dressing, and the homemade grain mustard that came with it were all excellent. Of course, the coffee was also delicious. I had assumed coffee was the main focus based on the name of the shop, but they also have quite a selection of teas. I'm thinking of trying the tea next time.

A cafe located along the Mito Highway within walking distance from Hikifune Station. I ordered cinnamon French toast and egg sandwich for breakfast. The French toast was neatly toasted with cinnamon and topped with whipped cream. It had a strong cinnamon aroma but the sweetness of the cream matched perfectly, making it enjoyable even for those who are not fond of cinnamon. The egg sandwich had a mild flavor and went well with coffee. It was also delicious with the mustard provided on the side. This cafe is known for its cheesecake, so I plan to try that next time I visit. I ordered: - Cinnamon French Toast - Egg Sandwich - Hot Coffee - Cold Brew Coffee.

Higamuko Coffee Shop @ Hikifune, Higamuko
Ordered: "Cafe au Lait" and "Baked Cheesecake"
Whether you're with a group or by yourself, this cafe with a relaxed atmosphere is a charming spot for a tea party. The warm furniture and carefully curated menu add to the appeal.
"Cafe au Lait" has a creamy layer on top, making it easy to drink with a soft bitterness.
The "Baked Cheesecake" has a moist and juicy texture that I really enjoyed. The base is slightly crumbly, but the classic taste of baked cheesecake is perfect for tea time.
It was a cozy and comforting experience. Thank you for the meal.

I was told by a friend that if you love cheesecake, you must try the cheesecake here in order to truly understand cheesecake. I made time to visit and found the interior of the shop to be stylish with a base of wood materials. I ordered the "Blage Blend Coffee and Rare Cheesecake Dandelion," the coffee was rich and delicious without any bitterness. The "Rare Cheesecake" had a unique texture that was creamy and tasty. I also ordered the "Ice Royal Milk Tea" and the "Yumekake Pie Han's Tart" which were also delicious. Thank you for the meal, and thank you very much.

Cashew Nut Pudding ¥450
Blanc Blend ¥510
The pudding is firm and dense. It is sweet and goes well with coffee. The caramel has a slightly bitter taste but is also sweet. The cashew nut flavor subtly spreads in the mouth. The texture of the cashew nuts lingers a bit, making it addictive. The whipped cream is creamy and not too sweet, which helps balance out the sweetness. The pudding flavors vary daily, so check their Twitter for updates. They used to have unique flavors like pumpkin seed and black sesame pudding, making it an enjoyable experience.

Before going to the garden, I got a takeout coffee. Even for takeout, they brew each cup for you. The morning menu inside the shop looked very delicious, and the atmosphere was lovely, so I would like to dine in next time.

Recently, I have been visiting the Hikifune area about twice a month. Before running errands, I enjoy exploring cafes and other places. This time, based on a recommendation from a friend, I decided to check out "Higashi-Mukojima Coffee." The name of the shop advertises "Coffee & Rare Cheesecake," so you can tell that they take their offerings seriously. Despite the cold weather outside, the temperature inside the shop was very warm. So, I opted for the "Iced Coffee (620 yen)" without any added ingredients, and it was refreshing and paired perfectly with the rare cheesecake. The rare cheesecake comes in five flavors: blueberry, raspberry, chocolate, strawberry, and mango pineapple. It was a tough choice, but I went with the "Raspberry (450 yen)," which is a popular flavor but not commonly paired with rare cheesecake. The cheesecake was creamy and had a strong presence. I could understand why people come to this shop seeking this delicacy. In another table, a group of two ordered three rare cheesecakes. I could relate to their enthusiasm. Visiting this area has become even more enjoyable with this new discovery. I look forward to going back again.

At the "Tom Tom" restaurant in front of Higashi-Mukojima Station, I had a meal while looking at the Tokyo Skytree on my left, and then headed to the "Higashi-Mukojima Coffee Shop". Inside the shop, there are sofa seats in the front and table seats at the back. I sat at a table seat at the back, and the staff brought me the recommended menu on the blackboard. Although the hot coffee looked delicious, when I read the explanation of the cold brew iced coffee... A cold brew dripper over 1 meter tall was prepared. The coffee brewed for 13 hours creates a taste and aroma that is free of any bitterness. It's an iced coffee that is very refreshing. After reading this, I had to try the cold brew iced coffee! The entrance sign of the shop also says "Coffee & Rare Cheesecake", and although I think the sign is for the cheesecake, I ordered the healthy black sesame pudding. The cold brew iced coffee was served promptly. Just as explained, it was a refreshing iced coffee with a clean taste. Then, the black sesame pudding was served. It was shaped like a cake, not a typical pudding, with a mild sweetness and a rich black sesame flavor that lingers. Enjoying the black sesame pudding with whipped cream and delicious iced coffee was a soothing experience. The atmosphere of the shop is relaxed and allows you to unwind without worrying about time, which I think is the most important thing in a cafe or coffee shop. By the wall, there were metal corner pillars for some reason. When I asked the staff why there were metal corner pillars for letterpress printing, they explained that they were used for a letterpress printing event in the past. As I left, the owner wished me to take care. It was a very pleasant and cozy shop. Thank you for the meal.
