Tonight, I tried a new place in Shijo Omiya, Kyoto for exploration day. It opened at the beginning of this year, and even though I always visit Shinjuku Kaikan, I had never been to the 2nd floor. Today, I stepped foot into the 2nd floor. The owner of this shop is a mama who loves standing bars, and she opened the shop herself. It was nice to see that even first-time customers are welcome, which is not very Kyoto-like. The 80s bracon and eurobeat music playing made me feel nostalgic. The customer next to me was chatting with the mama as if they were regulars, but it turns out they were also a first-timer. The atmosphere was very friendly and easy to fit in. They have a wide range of drinks, and most of the dishes are in the 100-200 yen range, making it easy to enjoy. It's a place mainly for drinking.

Omiya Deep Zone Shinjuku Kaikan, Tera-san, and other establishments are located on the second floor of a building. It is a newly opened, clean and eye-catching drinking spot. You might be surprised to find such a nice place in that building! The atmosphere with new wooden flooring is calming and inviting. Even though it seems like only regulars have been going there since before the official opening, it is actually a friendly place where anyone can go in easily. The BGM playing Eurobeat music made some people feel nostalgic, while others didn't recognize it. I enjoyed a quick drink with a red tea chu-hi and celery pickles.
