This is a JCB lounge at Kyoto Station. The location is on the second floor of a building at the end of the station, walking towards Shiga Prefecture from the exit on the Kyoto Tower side. It took me a while to find it because it was my first time, but if you know the location, it's easy to get there. The exterior of the lounge has a luxurious feel, but the interior space is surprisingly small. However, the lounge itself is a quiet space completely isolated from the hustle and bustle outside. I enjoyed a cold tea here. It's always nice to have a place to take a break like this lounge.

This is a rare city lounge that can be used by people who hold a certain grade of JCB card. During my stay in Kyoto, I was brought here by a friend who holds the qualifying card. The location is in a corner of the "Kyoto Theater" in JR Kyoto Station building. Next to it is "JCB PLAZA," so it's easy to mistake the two. Inside, it can be described in one word - "small!" There are 24 seats. There is not much space to walk around the pillars, making the floor feel cramped. Similar to airport lounges, there are soft drink machines and racks with newspapers, magazines, and guidebooks. The biggest advantage is being able to leave your luggage for free. I left my bag, had a cup of espresso, and set off to explore Kyoto!

I used it to coordinate the timing of a drinking party. Unlike airline lounges at airports, there is no alcohol, but it's a good place to take a breather and forget about the hustle and bustle outside. It's free.
