I like Korean food and decided to try it, but...hmm. It wasn't that great. If I had to say, the samgyetang was decently delicious!

The atmosphere inside the restaurant was still lingering with the excitement of the grand opening party. The friendly owner and my friends recommended various dishes, so I ended up ordering a steamed pork dish. It was my first time seeing such a dish, and I was a bit hesitant at first due to the amount of fat on it. However, when I tried it, I was pleasantly surprised by how tender and delicious it was, with no unpleasant smell at all. The menu on the blackboard included a variety of izakaya dishes and Korean cuisine, but I highly recommend trying the steamed pork as it is not something you come across often. The owner only serves dishes that she believes customers will enjoy, so you can trust that everything on the menu is worth trying. This is a great restaurant where you can feel like you want to become a regular customer.

I was walking on Oeido Street in Uzumasa and decided to have lunch at a restaurant I randomly entered. As soon as I entered, I saw a counter seat with a lady, but there were no other customers, so I felt a bit anxious. However, I found out that this restaurant is favored by actor Eiichiro Funakoshi and will be featured in an upcoming book. The book actually arrived during lunch that day, and I got to see it. Funakoshi is known for being a gourmet in Kyoto, so I had high expectations. The food at this restaurant is Korean home cooking that is gentle on the body with reduced salt and calories. The table setting had a luxurious image of Korean cuisine with purple placemats, and each chopstick rest had a different design. When I asked for recommendations, I was suggested the Chapchae and steamed pork, so I ordered those along with a few other dishes. The appetizers included three types for three people. The Chapchae was different from what I've had before, with a nice chewiness and lots of vegetables. The steamed pork, as featured in Funakoshi's book, was steamed for an hour with the skin on. It was served with Changja, rock salt, and eating chili oil. The rock salt was a bit hard to shave, but it added a nice touch. The Cold Noodles were also packed with vegetables. The Mixed Jeon had a nice thickness and chewiness. I also ordered the Stone Bibimbap, but I ended up being too full to enjoy it fully. Overall, all the dishes at this restaurant were healthy with plenty of vegetables. It was a random choice to enter this restaurant since the one I originally planned to go to was closed, but I'm glad I found this place and enjoyed the delicious food.

Late at night, I took a leisurely bike ride down Daiei Street for the first time in a while. Quietly, the neatly kept storefronts had their menus lit up on standing signs after closing. Among the 2 open shops and the 4.5 closed shops that caught my eye, this particular shop stood out by far. I searched on Tabelog and found out that their Samgyetang and steamed pork are excellent. I had to go there no matter what! I visited right away, and the highly anticipated Samgyetang and steamed pork lived up to the hype. All the other dishes were also top-notch. I found a great restaurant.

A Korean mom-run restaurant with a nice atmosphere, including counter and table seating, suitable for dates. I have been there two or three times. The simmered pork and samgyetang were delicious. The menu is diverse, catering to Japanese tastes while still offering authentic flavors. The simmered pork was especially tasty, with two types of sauce and tender meat and plenty of vegetables. A Korean restaurant that also serves pukkochi. A place I would like to visit regularly if it were nearby.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the Samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) and steamed pork at this place are really delicious. The overall impression of the restaurant, from the menu composition to the interior, feels somewhat like a halfway casual izakaya style, but the incredible taste of the Samgyetang and steamed pork makes the slight casualness less noticeable. The restaurant is located in Umezono, where there are many Zainichi Koreans, and there are a lot of Korean restaurants in the area. Even when compared to other restaurants in this competitive area, the Korean food here may be delicious. It seems worth coming here just to eat. Also, since there is a movie studio nearby, the Samgyetang and steamed pork here are famous among celebrities and entertainment industry people.

It was the weekend, but surprisingly not too crowded. There seemed to be many customers related to movies. Since there were two of us, we sat at the counter. The counter seats were spacious, like a traditional Japanese restaurant, allowing us to relax. We quickly ordered the steamed pork. While waiting for the food to be served, we had to shave the rock salt ourselves, which required quite a bit of strength and made it hard to focus on conversation. The meat that was brought to us was tender and moist. The Chapchae had a large portion for two people, so we couldn't try a variety of dishes like at an izakaya. The staff recommended, "We have a great mackerel sushi today." Mackerel sushi at a Korean restaurant? I was skeptical, but this mackerel sushi was really delicious! The landlady recommended delicious items not on the menu each time, she is wonderful.
