Meguro opened on the middle slope of Gonosukezaka "Les Joues de Bebe (les joues de BéBé)". It is managed by Zillion Co., Ltd., which also operates "Pizzeria & Trattoria GONZO," "Popular Bistro ZIL," and "Sakaba Sinatra." The name of the restaurant means "baby's cheeks" in French. The description also includes a bakery, making it a place that is like a mix of a bakery, café, and bistro. The customers vary from those who just buy bread to take home, to those who enjoy tea, to those who have a hearty meal. The back of the store connects to "Popular Bistro ZIL," and the lively atmosphere of drinking parties can be heard. The alcohol selection is abundant for this type of dining establishment. I ordered an IPA, which was reasonably priced at 880 yen for something that costs around 500 yen at a liquor store. Of course, a wide range of wines by the glass is also available. I ordered the "Marinated Fresh Fish and Selvatico Salad," but it didn't stand out much. Priced at 800 yen, the quantity is small, and the quality of the fish is not great. On the other hand, the "Beef Harami & Aged Pork Meat Plate" is priced at 1,900 yen. The meat is plentiful, with plenty of vegetables and side dishes, making it feel like a good deal compared to the earlier salad. It's much more satisfying than eating and drinking at a mediocre Western-style izakaya. The restaurant's pride, the bread, comes with two pieces. The bread on this day was pumpkin and whole wheat, with flavors that rival those served at French restaurants with a customer price of several thousand yen. Enjoying a blissful moment by generously spreading the whipped butter provided. After eating the above and drinking one beer, the bill was around 3,500 yen. While the individual menu salad was not impressive, the set plate was a good deal, and eating just that would leave you with change from 2,000 yen, showing considerable corporate effort. Set menus are available for breakfast and lunch, offering endless ways to enjoy the restaurant. It was a convenient place that seamlessly blends into everyday life.
