I changed my plans last minute because the restaurant I was thinking of was closed, so I decided to visit John and Yoko after a long time. I couldn't eat the cold soba with sesame flavor, which was disappointing. I tried the Keema curry with eggplant instead. It's a curry with minced chicken thigh meat and eggplant, known for its spicy flavor and richness. It wasn't as spicy as expected, but it was still flavorful. The portion looked small, but I felt satisfied after finishing it. The background music in the restaurant is now John's songs, but I remember it used to be different. When the two of them came, it was just "soft, enveloping music" playing. Below is the content of "John Lennon and the Flower of the Tree" written on a board in the restaurant. In the summer of 1979, John and Yoko climbed this narrow staircase and opened the door to the Flower of the Tree. They had come in a limousine to a movie theater in Tsukiji, where they dropped off the children and walked towards Ginza 4-chome to find a place to relax until the end of the movie "Superman." They turned right before the Kabuki-za, and by chance, they found a sign saying "Flower of the Tree." The restaurant, only on its fourth day, had a slightly tense atmosphere with soft music playing in the background. They sat facing each other at a table near the entrance. They ordered Colombian coffee and Darjeeling tea, and quietly talked while looking into each other's eyes, John and Yoko...

I wanted to have a leisurely lunch at a cafe, so I happened to stop by one. They had two types of curry, and I chose the "classic vegetable and bean curry with naan." It wasn't very spicy, but it had a nice aroma of spices and the delicious taste of tomatoes. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was very cozy.

I went to a cafe that has been famous for being visited by John Lennon and Yoko Ono. The atmosphere was classic and charming, but it was a bit crowded and hectic. I tried the Egg Coconut curry, which was surprisingly delicious despite my initial disappointment with the presentation. The balance with the small coleslaw was perfect. I would like to revisit on a quieter day to fully enjoy the experience. The cafe seems to close early, so I will aim for a visit in the late afternoon. I also want to try other curry options they offer.

This is a shop located at the corner after going down the side road of the Kabuki-za theater. It is famous for being visited by John Lennon and Yoko Ono when they came to Japan. As a result, Beatles songs are always playing as background music. There is a colored paper with the signatures of the two right next to the entrance door, so be sure not to miss it.

A cafe near Higashi Ginza and Kabuki-za, famous for being visited by John Lennon and Yoko Ono shortly after opening. The curry menu displayed outside caught my attention. I visited at noon and found a few customers inside, mostly women of the John Lennon generation. The background music was also John Lennon's songs. The interior had a distinctive old smell that I found a bit off-putting. They offered three types of curry, and I chose the Spicy Chicken Curry that day. It was recommended by the Indian staff, and it was served after John Lennon's visit. I also added the lunch set, which included a small coleslaw salad and a drink (I regretted not choosing coffee instead of iced tea). The Spicy Chicken Curry had a tomato and onion base with a mild flavor, seasoned with coriander, cloves, and ginger. It had a gentle spiciness and a slight heat that came later. The ingredients included chicken, green beans, and potatoes. The rice was mixed grain rice, and the portion was a bit small. I would like to try the classic curry next time.

Visited for the first time on a holiday afternoon. This cafe is famous for being visited by John Lennon and Yoko Ono. When I entered, it was full, but I was able to sit at the counter after about 5 minutes. I ordered the famous Lennon Set (¥1050) that I was curious about. After a short wait, the Lennon Set arrived, which included Colombian coffee and two almond cookies. The Colombian coffee had a good balance of acidity and bitterness, and it was very delicious. I enjoyed it black. The almond cookies had a rich almond flavor and a caramel sweetness that spread in my mouth, and they were also delicious. The interior of the cafe was decorated with books about John Lennon and the couple's autographs, creating a wonderful atmosphere. It made me feel quite sentimental. The curry also looked very delicious, so I would like to try it next time. Thank you for the meal!

On a Saturday afternoon, there was about a 20-minute wait. It is said that John Lennon and Yoko Ono visited the restaurant back in 1979, and there are hand-drawn illustrations and signatures displayed inside. The retro cafe atmosphere, although somewhat cramped, offers a pleasant distance from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. The main seating inside is at tables, with only a few counter seats available. The clientele is diverse, and solo diners are welcome. However, smaller groups may be more comfortable. The food menu includes curry, cinnamon toast, and cakes. The curry, made by a staff member from Madras, is quite mild and suitable for those who don't like spicy food. On the other hand, the cinnamon toast made with Yamagata bread is soft and buttery. Adding acacia honey and extra cinnamon will surely make for a sweet moment. Both items are part of a lunch set available until 3:00 PM for a good deal.

A long-established coffee shop located just a 3-minute walk from Higashi Ginza. The shop was founded in 1979 and it seems that John Lennon and his wife also visited. The atmosphere inside the shop is a harmonious blend of tranquility and warmth, with natural light streaming in through cleverly placed windows, creating a cozy ambiance along with the wooden interior. The seating is comfortable, and the occasional jazz melodies in the background make you feel the leisurely flow of time. The menu is very extensive, with options ranging from curry to cakes and pastries for dessert. Today, I ordered an iced cafe au lait for 880 yen and a cheesecake set for 1300 yen. The cheesecake has two layers, with a moist cocoa cookie base and a creamy cheese layer. Amidst the hustle and bustle of the city, spending time here feels like time is passing slowly, making it a soothing place to be. Highly recommended for those who want to enjoy a calm moment.

Around the Kabuki-za theater, there are several popular old cafes. One of them is "Ju no Hana," located on the second floor of a building behind the Kabuki-za theater. Established in 1979, this old cafe is famous for being visited by John Lennon and Yoko Ono on its fourth day of opening. The interior of the cafe has a chic atmosphere, with 5 wooden counter seats, table seats, and sofa seats. This time, I visited "Ju no Hana" and enjoyed a leisurely time drinking coffee at the table where John Lennon and Yoko Ono sat. [Coffee Time at Ju no Hana] *Comments are in the photo ◆ Lennon Set ☆ Colombian Coffee ☆ Almond Cookie ◉ The owner of the cafe is particular about coffee and carefully grinds the beans and hand drips to serve the finest coffee after taking the order. The staff is also very kind. The curry is also popular, so I will come back next time to try the "Bean and Vegetable Curry" for lunch. Thank you for the meal.

After eating, I found a charming cafe while walking and decided to pop in. It was called John Lennon and Juka no Hana, which made me wonder if there was some special connection. I was impressed. The atmosphere inside was really nice. Since I had already eaten, I just had an iced coffee, which I remember cost ¥750. As I sipped my coffee, I caught a whiff of delicious curry. I looked up and saw someone eating it. It looked so tasty - I really wanted to try it. I'll have to come back next time and try it! Of course, John Lennon's songs were playing in the background. On my way out, I saw a sign saying "Lennon Set?" Oh no, I'll have to try that next time too. I'll have to come back and try the curry or the Lennon Set next time. Completely non-smoking.

On this day, I finished conquering the Ginza tonkatsu restaurant "Ginza WHITE CROWN Tonkatsu" with a follow reviewer I recently made acquaintance with. I used some tricks to be able to visit during times when the general public cannot, but it's not normal to have to do such a thing for a restaurant. Nevertheless, the unique experience I had after visiting was more than worth it. After the review, we planned to go cafe hopping with the reviewer, but we found that cafes in Ginza are always crowded and few accept reservations. So, we decided to pick a few cafes in the East Ginza area near "Ginza WHITE CROWN Tonkatsu" based on Tabelog ratings and visit them in order. The first choice was a cafe called "Kissa-shitsu Hinoki" located near the Kabuki-za theater, but it was closed as the theater was not showing any performances that day. The second choice was a coffee shop called "Akane-ya Coffee Shop" in a backstreet near the Kabuki-za theater. However, we discovered that it allowed smoking, so we decided to skip it. Our third choice was a famous omurice restaurant called "YOU," but there was a long line, so we gave up and finally settled on the fourth choice, which was the restaurant we visited. Some may think it was a compromise, but the restaurant had a Tabelog rating of over 3.5, and it has been in business since 1979, making it a well-established cafe in Ginza. The cafe gained fame when John Lennon and Yoko Ono visited just four days after it opened. We arrived at the cafe around 12:40 after lunch, and despite the lunchtime rush, we were seated promptly. We were seated at a table closest to the entrance, which was next to the table where Lennon and Yoko sat (occupied by other customers). We ordered a spicy pound cake and a rich blend coffee for me, and the Lennon set for my companion. The orders arrived in about 7 minutes, and the spicy pound cake was a rich and flavorful cake made with various spices, nuts, and dried fruits. It was delicious, although some might prefer it with whipped cream. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

After having lunch at "Ginza WHITE CROWN Tonkatsu" on July 1, 2023, I took a café break at "Jyu no Hana". This longstanding café was established on August 1, 1979, and is about to celebrate its 44th anniversary. The shop gained fame when John Lennon and Yoko Ono visited on the 4th day of its opening. The interior, reached by climbing a narrow staircase, is bright with sunlight streaming in from the windows, creating a surprisingly cheerful atmosphere. Beatles songs, not just John's, were playing in the background. I ordered the Lennon Set, being a bit of a fan. The Lennon Set consists of Colombia Supremo coffee and almond cookies. The coffee is made with the finest Colombia Supremo beans that meet the country's strict standards. Each cup is meticulously hand-dripped after grinding the beans to order, a practice that has been maintained since the café opened. The result is a fruity aroma that is immediately noticeable upon serving. The taste is a refreshing medium roast with a predominant acidity, balanced by a solid bitterness that adds depth. The almond cookies are generously filled with almond slices, offering a fragrant and crispy texture. They have a subtle sweetness and a simple, homey deliciousness. The conversation about the tonkatsu restaurant mentioned earlier flourished, making this café break very meaningful. Despite being a place with connections to John Lennon, they also played "Let It Be," a song composed by Paul McCartney, whom John reportedly disliked, as part of their background music. It was charming. I hope this shop continues to make history in Ginza. Highly recommended.

I had some business in Ginza and searched for curry, so I found this place and decided to visit. I had the Spicy Chicken Curry with rice (mixed grain) for 1,150 yen. The curry sauce was full of onions, tender chicken, and delicious potatoes! It had a hint of coconut flavor which was really tasty!!! I wished there was more rice, but this amount was just right. Thank you for the meal!!!

We visited this restaurant for the first time in the afternoon on a regular day. It is conveniently located very close to Ginza Station. The interior of the restaurant is very stylish. There were solo customers, couples, and groups of women. This place is famous for being visited by John Lennon and Yoko Ono. The menu offers a variety of options including meals for lunch, sweets like cakes, and authentic coffee, suitable for various purposes. This time, we ordered the cheesecake set which came with a drink for 1300 yen. The cheesecake had an elegant and rich sweetness with a crispy crust, which was delicious. It is a great place to relax in a nice atmosphere in Ginza. I would definitely like to visit again.

The black tea and chocolate cake were both delicious (*∩ω∩) The cups were also cute. I noticed that the cups for the female group customers were pink, so I think they change them depending on the person (*∩ω∩) I visited around 3 p.m. on Sunday. Customers kept coming in one after another, and there was always a wait until I left. The interior of the shop is very small, so it's difficult to stay for a long time with waiting customers around. The age range of customers was wide, and it was a very popular shop!

For today's lunch, I had "Bean and Vegetable Curry (with less rice)" for ¥1,000 at a long-established coffee shop near Higashi-Ginza Station. I also added a set (mini salad, drink) for an additional ¥550. The curry, which seemed to have plenty of lentils, was just right for my taste. However, when I arrived around 1 o'clock, the place was quite crowded and it took a while for the meal to be served (of course, I was informed about this in advance). Unfortunately, I couldn't fully enjoy my coffee because of the delay.

I have started a gourmet website for Mitomi Emon. The cafe "Jyu no Hana" located behind the Kabuki-za theater is a long-established cafe that has been in business for 44 years. It became famous when John Lennon and Yoko Ono visited on the fourth day of its opening, and has since been recognized as a holy place for Beatles fans. The atmosphere is undeniably suitable for artists, with a sense of style that has stood the test of time. I had the opportunity to sit at the table where the two of them sat. They enjoyed Colombian coffee and Darjeeling tea, and the cafe's specialty curry has since become a popular item. The classic menu item is the "Bean and Vegetable Curry," and there are also daily specials such as "Spicy Chicken Curry," "Eggplant and Keema Curry," and "Egg Coconut Curry." The "Bean and Vegetable Curry" is a flavorful curry with plenty of peas and vegetables, with a gentle base and a fragrant aroma from the whole spices used. It is so delicious that it could even be considered a soup. The "Spicy Chicken Curry" lives up to its name with a spicy kick, but still has a gentle base. It has a smooth texture that will make you keep reaching for your spoon. Both curries are delicious, and I wish the world-famous artists had the chance to try them too.

I visited for lunch on a regular day ☆ I walked from Shin-Tomicho Station. There are long lines at Hanayama Udon and Kissaten YOU nearby. In between those lines is Ju no Hana ☆ I climbed the stairs to the second floor where the restaurant is located, but since it was lunchtime, I was seated at the back. I ordered the Special Curry Set with Spicy Chicken Curry, Rice (5-grain rice), Salad, and Iced Coffee. It was quite crowded, so I had to wait a bit. The curry changes every 3-4 days, and this time it was Chicken Curry. It was not very spicy but had a flavorful and watery consistency. This restaurant mainly serves vegetable curry, but it also includes ingredients such as chicken, potatoes, green beans, and bell peppers. I chose 5-grain rice, but they also have naan, which I would like to try next time. I didn't order any, but some customers were having cake after their meal, so I would like to try it as a snack (๑・̑◡・̑๑)♡ The restaurant is famous for being visited by John Lennon and Yoko Ono, and I happened to be there when the previous customer left, so I got permission from the staff to take a picture ♪ ☆ Thank you for the meal ♡

The atmosphere of a sophisticated café in Ginza with character. The place was almost full, mostly with women in their 40s. There was a young couple, John and Yoko, who seemed to have a special connection to the handwritten drawings and messages. Since I was short on time for lunch, I ordered a set with coffee first. The hand-drip coffee was a deep roasted bitter flavor. I chose the special curry recommended by a staff member from Madras, which changes every few days. The curry options were a special eggplant keema curry or a bean and vegetable curry, I chose the former with mixed grain rice. The curry exceeded the usual café curry with its great vegetable texture and cute presentation. I quickly finished my meal and paid. I've heard about the John and Yoko story for 20 years, and finally got to see their drawings. I would like to visit this place again when I have more time.

I was often curious about the exhibition at the neighboring Gallery MUMON, but thanks to my junior sleeping in, I had the opportunity to spend some time there. I arrived a bit late for lunch and the place was crowded, even though it was a cold day. I was initially hesitant to sit alone, but I was told to choose any seat, so I ended up at a table where John Lennon and Yoko Ono had once sat. I thought it was a bit awkward at first, but I decided it was fine since my junior was coming later. I love bean curry, so I chose the curry with beans and coffee set, which is a popular dish at the restaurant. The coffee that came with the lunch was delicious, but since my junior was taking a while to arrive, I decided to order another cup. I was drawn to the Colombian coffee that John Lennon also had, and it turned out to be a perfect match for my preference for acidity in coffee. It was so delicious that I almost couldn't help but let out a sound of satisfaction. On my way out, I made sure to compliment the delicious coffee with the perfect acidity. I also thought it would be nice to come back next time with a friend who also appreciates good coffee. The restaurant also accepts PayPay, which was convenient for someone like me who prefers cashless payments.
