Just before 1 pm on Saturday. Accessed by crossing the Sekkisui Street from the Yamashina side. By the time I arrived, there were only a few breads left, so I ended up getting 3 deli items and 2 sweets to take home. It seems like you have to come early or they have limited preparation. Not a trendy bakery, but the kind of place you would become a regular if it were nearby. The elderly man (the owner?) was working today. It seems he is hard of hearing, so you need to speak loudly and slowly.

For lunch, I went to this bakery nearby. It's not a trendy bakery, but they had a variety of delicious pastries. They had yakisoba bread, egg sandwiches, tonkatsu sandwiches, red bean buns, chocolate bread, hamburgers, and more. The bread was slightly sweet and the fillings were well-seasoned. The flavors were great, the prices were reasonable, and it was a great local bakery. I'll definitely have to go back for more.

Located a little up the slope from the Imakumano intersection in the Imakumano shopping street below Izumiya Temple. This bakery seems to be loved by the locals, offering bread and baked goods made with plenty of milk in conjunction with a milk shop. The selection includes classic items like anpan and melon pan. This time, I purchased yakisoba bread, wiener roll, cream puff, and chiffon cake with black tea. The cream puff is in a mini size and has a simple, not overly sweet deliciousness. The black tea chiffon cake is also tasty.

Located at the bottom of Huaishi Street, just before Dongda Road, this bakery offers a variety of bread. The shop is small, and a lovely old lady runs it by herself, even giving out free plastic bags. I would definitely become a regular if it were closer to my neighborhood.
