I visited for lunch on my day off. It had been about 15 years since my last visit. I didn't make a reservation, but I was smoothly guided to a table. While the dinner menu is expensive, there are plenty of reasonably priced set menus for lunch. On this day, it was a bit chilly so I chose the Yukgaejang soup set (¥1,320). The bubbling hot soup came with various side dishes like namul. The soup was full of beansprouts, fernbrake, carrots, and other vegetables. Even though there was no meat in the soup, the spicy broth was delicious and warmed me up. The three side dishes were especially tasty, particularly the sweet and savory braised meat, which was tender and went well with the namul. I ended up putting them on top of rice to make a bibimbap-style dish. There are also additional grilled meat options available for those who want to eat a lot or try a variety of dishes. The food was delicious, and with the free rice refills, it was a very satisfying and cost-effective lunch. The restaurant had a luxurious and elegant atmosphere, and it was bustling with customers of all ages and genders. Thank you for the meal.

I stayed in Kyoto for a friend's wedding and visited this restaurant in the evening, which I had been wanting to come to for a while. Despite a slight hangover, the quality of the meat was very high, and I thoroughly enjoyed dishes like thick-sliced salted tongue, thick-cut salted tongue, medium rib, teppanyaki, and top tripe. I was very satisfied. Next time, I want to make sure I'm in top condition and enjoy it with a beer.

When it comes to yakiniku restaurants in Kyoto, Tendan is the best! The first time I tried it, it was so impressive! The meat tasted so refreshing when dipped in the sauce, it was incredibly delicious! We had our year-end party there (my daughter treated us, haha). We enjoyed top sirloin, top skirt, yukhoe, and everything was delicious! We even had wine too, thank you for the feast!

I went for lunch. The daily special that caught my eye was the thick-cut tongue set meal, which came with rice, soup, 4 side dishes, and salad. The rice was free to upsize, and I grilled the tongue on the hot plate provided. The thick-cut tongue was gently grilled to perfection. The soup was seaweed soup with chopped green onions and a squeeze of lemon for added flavor. Mixing in kimchi with the rice added volume to the meal. When the meat was gone and only rice and side dishes remained, I made bibimbap with the leftover side dishes. It was a nice treat for myself once in a while.

I thought it was before the opening, but it seems that the business hours have changed and they now open at 11:00. When I entered, there were already many customers. Although there are several Ten-dan restaurants in Kyoto, this was my first visit. I came with my son on this day (after a three-party meeting). We ordered the carefully selected Kalbi lunch set for 1,760 yen each, where you can choose the sauce and drink. We chose the seasonal spicy sauce and iced coffee. The tray arrived at 11:42. The set included two types of meat (Kalbi and Toro Kalbi), grilled vegetables, soup, three small side dishes, salad, and a drink. I was happy to see plenty of vegetables. The small side dishes like Namul and Kimchi were delicious, and with the rice refill service, my son was lively and enjoying it. The meat was tender and tasty. I didn't have a refill, but I felt the rice portion was generous. The staff was sophisticated and moved like in a hotel. They were always attentive to replenishing the cold tea, making it comfortable to eat. My son was happy and said he wanted to come back. When we returned home, my daughter said it was unfair, haha. I will visit again, thank you for the meal.

When I visit Kyoto, I always make sure to stop by for lunch. I visit various restaurants, but this time I went to the Yamashina branch. The interior of the restaurant had a calm atmosphere and the service was good, as always, but it was crowded with customers. I noticed that the menu and prices vary slightly from store to store, and I found coffee jelly for the first time and ordered it. It was delicious, so I ended up eating two servings.

I often use it for lunch, but it feels like a typical yakiniku restaurant, for better or for worse. The interior of the restaurant feels very well thought out, and the staff's care is wonderful. It's Meat Day, so we had yakiniku for lunch. I had the harami lunch and my husband had the nakaochi kalbi lunch. We also added pork belly with the recommended salt by the staff. For the side dish, you can choose between pickles or kimchi. This time we chose kimchi. The meat is served with Tendan's special sauce, which is a light and transparent sauce. Even though the meat is already coated with sauce, it's better to dip it in the sauce. With kimchi, namul, cooked tendon, soup, and salad, the amount of meat may seem small, but the rice portion is just right and satisfying. (Rice refills are available) However, the additional pork belly was delicious. It can be enjoyed with negi salt and lemon for a refreshing taste. There is no pork main dish on the menu, so I recommend adding the pork belly. It was a late lunch, but we were able to enjoy Meat Day!

My wife and I went to Ten-don together for the first time in a while. This was my second time here. I didn't know that you had to take off your shoes and go up to the second floor. We were seated and ordered the limited selection of wagyu beef, Omi beef, local chicken, seasonal grilled vegetables, and rice. The total came to 10,241 yen. We grilled the meat as it came and enjoyed eating it both on its own and with rice. It was delicious and just the right amount. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

The only way to satisfy your cravings is with the "Special Misuji Lunch" for 2600 yen before tax. Delicious, but let's escape reality for a while. How about trying the "Yukke" for 1200 yen before tax? It might have been at Tendan where I first experienced the deliciousness of yukke. Yum! While enjoying the yukke, savor the meat at your own pace. Isn't it heavenly? Have a conversation with the special misuji meat. It's a one-of-a-kind wonderland here. Oh, and speaking of Tendan, their sauce is just perfect, addictively good. I asked if they sell the sauce separately, but unfortunately, they don't. However, if you order meat to go, the sauce comes with it. It's a bit pricey, but the high-class atmosphere and luxurious experience make it worth it. Famous yakiniku restaurant in Kyoto. It's a chain restaurant with branches in Gion and other places that I have visited before. This was my first time at the Yamashina branch. It was a bit difficult to enter by car, but the staff guided me in smoothly. It was quite crowded for lunch. I ordered the special sirloin lunch, but compared to dinner, it felt a bit lacking. I added a few more orders, and I recommend the tongue and salt. It can get busy at times, so I recommend using EPARK to make a reservation in advance for a smoother experience.

Transparent tangy sauce, like washing meat, is delicious. Rib loin lunch ¥1,380 - Goes well with the sauce. Kalbi lunch ¥1,280 - Thinly sliced pieces are tasty, but thick ones have a good texture. It also comes in a block of oil. Additional lunch special each ¥500 - Kalbi lunch meat seems slightly lower in quality than the regular lunch meat. Harami - not sure about it.
