There is a spacious seating area inside, and it has received high ratings, so I decided to walk there. It was a hot day, so I ordered an affogato instead of cake. The large cafe area in the back had about 60-70% occupancy. It was a relaxed atmosphere, not in a busy commercial area near the station. The affogato was served in just a few minutes, with a double shot of espresso warmed separately for you to pour over the ice cream yourself. It was enjoyable to eat while pouring the hot espresso, and I liked it a lot. On the way back, I got a canelé to go.

I always buy this shortcake. It seems to be the most popular one. It's around 630 yen including tax, so it's a bit pricey for the size, but the smooth and delicious whipped cream makes it worth it. When I don't want to take any chances, I always go for this one.

While on the way to dropping off my wife at a mama friend's house, we made a stop at a house-style patisserie located about a 5-minute drive from the north exit of Kokuritsu Station along the main road. They offer a wide variety of Western-style sweets, from baked goods to confections, and on weekends, it's a popular spot for the Kokuritsu ladies to gather (even though the address is technically in Kokuritsu City). There is also an eat-in corner. We arrived a little after 1 pm and there were no other customers. My wife picked out an ichirin roll for her mama friend, while I chose an ichirin choux for myself. The ichirin choux is a favorite of our whole family, with a cookie choux filled with plenty of custard cream infused with vanilla beans. The ichirin roll my wife chose is one of the shop's signature items, with a fluffy cake filled with lightly sweet and airy whipped cream. According to my wife, her mama friend was very pleased with the choice. We will definitely be back next time. Thank you for the delicious treats.

I visited a Western confectionery shop in Kokubunji City to find some sweets to entertain our guest (my wife's friend). The shop is located near Kokuritsu or Monorail Tachibana station and is popular among locals. I bought several Ichirinshu cream puffs, filled with rich vanilla cream, for our home and our guest. The vanilla beans in the cream were so flavorful, especially in the crispy choux pastry. Our guest seemed to really enjoy them. Thank you for the delicious treats. Yesterday I felt like eating cake again... The shop is in a pretty quiet location. I decided to take a walk to buy a cake. It's a short drive away but I chose to walk instead... I bought the Jupiter cake... It has a chocolate base with a hint of berry flavor, which is really nice. I enjoyed it. It seems to be located on the east side of the JGSDF Higashi Tachikawa Barracks. The street in front is called Benten Street. Next to it is a large supermarket. The building stands out with its white and brick walls, brown pointed roof, and green tent against the blue sky. There is a large parking lot on the side and back, and there are terrace seats on the roadside. Inside, the left side is the shop and the right side is a spacious cafe space. Bright light comes in through the large windows, allowing you to relax and watch the cars passing by on the road. If you use the cafe, you order and pay at the shop counter first. The items will be brought to your table, but after eating, you return them to the self-service return counter. I had the Chocolate Cake for 444 yen and Iced Coffee for 278 yen. Honestly, the cake was just okay. But it's a comfortable cafe where you can relax. I couldn't use PayPay because I had reached the monthly limit. I was surprised that there is a limit at the store. Also, the sales staff did not approach me even though I was waiting, and when I went to the register, they ignored me and walked past, and the staff were chatting loudly with each other, so improvement in customer service is needed. Tachikawa Station, a 10-minute bus ride away, I had been wanting to visit this place for a while, but I was intimidated by the trendy atmosphere that I thought would be overwhelming. Finally, I made my way here. The cute exterior design is indeed charming, but the interior seating area looks a bit lonely. I arrived at 12:00 and noticed that the light meals were no longer available. I decided to order the "Grand Chocolat (463 yen)" and "Apple Tea (278 yen)" to at least enjoy something before heading back. The total came to 815 yen. I sat at a table in the back of the cozy interior and enjoyed the calm and upscale ambiance. The dessert was sweet and delicious, with a rich blend of chocolate sweetness and bitterness. Croissant (167 yen) - 3.4 This one is hard to evaluate. It tasted like a croissant eaten for the first time, meant to be eaten with a meal like scrambled eggs or bacon. It's a croissant that doesn't have any sweetness, giving off a "bread" vibe. It might be good for breakfast. Personally, I prefer croissants with a rich buttery aroma, a hint of sweetness, and a crispy texture. However, in terms of cost performance, it's good and tasty. Ichirin Choux (185 yen) - 3.3 A choux pastry with a firm outer layer and a generous amount of custard cream inside. Some choux pastries have a thick and moist outer layer, but this one doesn't. The cream is not elegantly vanilla-scented, nor does it have a rural smell. After finishing it, my impression was that it was so sweet! It's not a gentle choux pastry, but rather one with a substantial texture. There is also an eat-in area and a spacious parking lot, making it easy to park. I might come here with my mom friends. I stopped by "Patisserie Ichirin" on the way back from a familiar sushi restaurant. The location is right in between Tachikawa Station and Kokuritsu Station. It would take about 30 minutes on foot. If you don't have a car, taking a bus would be a good option. It's a stylish Western-style confectionery in a fancy building. The terrace seating with grass is eye-catching. It would be lovely to have a tea party while looking at the garden. There is even a wooden swing, so small children would be delighted. The way they use the spacious land is wonderful. Playfulness is abundant. I bought 5 cakes and a roll cake. - Ichirin Pudding: Looks cute. The pudding is lighter in taste than expected. The pudding jar could be useful for something else! - Pralinetta: A chocolate cake with a mild sweetness. Goes well with coffee. Recommended for accompanying male guests. - Tiramisu: A bit too sweet, lacking in the cheese flavor. - Double Cheese Cake: Highly recommended. A cheesecake topped with mascarpone cream. Despite the rich-sounding name, it is light and easy to eat. - Maria Beetle - Ichirin Roll Cake. It's impressive how a simple cake can be so delicious. I went to buy a cake for the first time in a while. They were selling the pudding that had disappeared once due to renovation. I only planned to buy a cake, but ended up buying it. The Vongole Bianco pasta was delicious, made with white wine and the flavor of clams really stood out. It was cooked al dente and very tasty. For dessert, I had the Maria Beatrice, a light pink cake topped with cream and strawberries. Inside, there was a layer of strawberry jelly, followed by creme brulee, all surrounded by strawberry cream. The strawberry aroma and sweet-sour taste were delightful. I also bought a Ichirin Choux as a souvenir, but the cream puffs are also popular.
