A few days ago, when I visited around 1 o'clock, they were sold out of their specialty soba, so I tried the Tempura Soba and mini Oyakodon instead. The soba noodles were thin and had a nice chewy texture. The tempura included 2 shrimp, 2 shishito peppers, eggplant, shiso leaf, and seaweed, and it was very filling. This place is definitely a safe bet!

I visited during lunchtime. It's a local famous restaurant that often receives takeout orders. The seating is limited, so it's lucky if there are empty seats at lunchtime. The taste and cost performance are both high. The broth is rich, and the noodles are thin. The dashimaki served with the Yonekyu set meal was excellent.

I had the Katsudon Special for ¥900 including tax on my second visit. The katsu was crispy and the egg was very soft and gooey. The portion size was about 1.5 times larger than normal. I would recommend this type and portion size for those who enjoy it.

Garage was a bit hard to find and I had never been there before. I confirmed with the staff and was able to park safely. There were bright red markings on the ground for two parking spaces. The staff mentioned that they needed to repaint them soon. The exterior looked a bit intimidating, not what you'd expect in Yamaoka, but no need to worry. The staff were friendly, the interior was clean, and there were so many menu options to choose from. I decided to go with the Soba (Udon) set for 660 yen, opting for the udon version. It came with udon, rice, rolled omelette, mountain vegetables, pickles, and a corn cob, all with a comforting taste. The udon was unexpectedly chewy and had a unique mouthfeel. The rolled omelette had a nice dashi flavor, and the mountain vegetables were well-seasoned. The restaurant had both regular tables and raised seating in the back, making it suitable for families with children. Despite its slightly hidden location, it was a lovely place. I made sure to tell them I would be back, curious to see if the garage markings would be repainted with bright red paint next time.

I also wanted to try ordering here! Kitsune soba! Dashimaki! Dashimaki, cold style! First time trying the tempura and egg over rice bowl. They seem to be good at fried food. I occasionally use it for lunch on weekdays. This time, I ordered my first dinner! I've had oyakodon and other donburi before, so I ordered the tempura and egg over rice bowl. They are very popular for delivery in the local area. The tempura and egg over rice bowl arrived after about three deliveries. It is more generous with ingredients compared to the nearby "Kenroku". It was rare to have white fish like sand borer or megochi. At this restaurant, you can add a mini soba or udon for an additional two hundred yen. If you have room in your stomach, please try it.

It's a local restaurant. I actually wanted to eat ramen but it was close to 2 o'clock when I finally decided to go out. So, I gave up on ramen and went to this place instead. It was past 3 o'clock when I arrived. There were two other customers already there, and the restaurant had three tables and a tatami room at the back. Although it wasn't on the menu, I saw a sign on the wall saying they also offer mini bowls for 200 yen, including mini udon (or soba). It's a great combination. I was tempted by the curry rice bowl on the wall, but I decided to stick with the same dish for comparison. I ordered the mini tempura and egg rice bowl (580 yen) and the mini soba. It took a bit of time as they were preparing the previous customers' orders, but the wait wasn't a problem. The dishes arrived: there was takuan and kombu on the side, along with some sansho pepper. The tempura included shrimp, shishito pepper, eggplant, and shiso leaf. It was not bad, but I prefer the other place's version. The sweetness was subtle. The mini soba had fried tofu in it, which was a nice surprise. For 200 yen, it was quite a deal. The soba was decent. I preferred the flavor of the other place's rice bowl, but having the option for a mini set is great. They also offer various set meals, although I didn't inquire about them. The restaurant has a parking lot as well. In terms of service, this place might have the upper hand. Both places are good in their own ways. Next time, I'll compare their curry udon. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.
