I feel like I had a proper burrito for the first time, and it was delicious because I got to eat it fresh! I was really hungry, so I got carried away and ordered a Large size, which made me feel so full that my stomach was about to burst, but the burrito was packed with ingredients and satisfying without feeling heavy on the stomach, which was great! Burritos are commonly eaten overseas, so there were many foreign tourists enjoying their meals, which was nice to see. The staff at the restaurant were very friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy.

SUINA Machiavelli's basement. It had gone up by 1,200 yen, but I was satisfied because I could get vegetables, meat, and beans with free drinks. In addition to the Mexican plate, there are various options such as tacos and nachos. It's a restaurant that is popular among women. Highly recommended.

I suddenly felt like eating a burrito, so I went to Lasergunda Hoya in SUINA Nihonbashi. I ordered the regular size vegetable burrito (900 yen). I thought it might be a bit too much for a woman, but it was not at all, and since I was hungry, I was able to eat it all in one go (lol). I am also interested in trying tacos, nachos, quesadillas, etc., so I want to go back to eat them. Thank you for the meal.

I had some errands to run in Karasuma-Kawaramachi and came with a friend. There are plenty of delicious lunch options in Karasuma, but everywhere seems crowded during lunchtime. We didn't feel like waiting in line, so we decided to go to SUINA Muromachi for now. Mexican food sounds great! I wanted to have a Corona beer, but I have plans to drive, so my friend had it instead. I ordered the Mexican Plate for ¥1,100 and added my favorite shrimp for an extra ¥220. The tacos and Mexican rice were both delicious! The ethnic flavors were amazing, not too strong. It was perfect for someone who loves ethnic food like me! I thought it might not be enough, but surprisingly, it was quite filling! They served it quickly, so it's perfect for a quick Mexican lunch when you're short on time. Thank you for the delicious meal!

One of the few Mexican restaurants in Kyoto. I visited because I wanted to eat a burrito. You can choose from small, regular, or large sizes, and the price varies depending on the size. I think the regular size is enough for a girl. The taste is quite mild. I feel like the beans are quite prominent. There are various additional spicy sauces lined up on each table, so it might have been good to add some of those. Lunch comes with free drinks, and there is a drink bar like at karaoke. Soup is also included. They also have nachos, tacos, and other options, so when you want Mexican food in Shijo-Karasuma, I will visit this place again.

Lunchtime on this day was the first time in about a year and a half that I visited a Mexican restaurant in the underground food hall of SUINA Nihonbashi. The menu for lunchtime seemed to have changed significantly, perhaps due to the changing circumstances in the world. I chose the "Mexican Lunch Plate (tax included 1,100 yen)" with "Pork" from the set menu that was available before. Previously, you could have a luxurious and delicious iced coffee as a set, but it had changed to self-service free drinks. There was no specific explanation, so I took iced tea from the drink bar, but now I think maybe I could have ordered iced coffee as well. And in an instant, the food arrived. The volume was still impressive. Just like before, it came with a warm soup. Pork, Mexican rice, beans, romaine lettuce, cheese, guacamole, jalapeno, homemade salsa, corn chips, tortillas, lime cream... the lunch plate was still full of volume. Just wrapping your favorite ingredients in the tortilla alone might be enough for a light meal. You can also top the taco chips with your favorite ingredients. I enjoyed mixing my favorite ingredients with the fluffy Mexican rice. It was a Mexican lunch plate with a variety of flavors to enjoy on one plate and a satisfying volume. Thank you for the meal.

I took my son, who wanted to ride the Hankyu train, to a gentlemen's shoe sale event at SUINA Muromachi. SUINA Muromachi is a relatively new facility that was originally a underground parking lot in Shijo. It has more dining options compared to Coco Karasuma, and is an interesting place to visit. There are many diverse dining options underground, and I had previously taken my son to the Italian restaurant next door for pizza. However, on this day, we discovered a Mexican restaurant with a drink bar that caught my son's attention, so we decided to try this place instead. I was hesitant because I didn't know much about Mexican cuisine besides tacos, and I don't usually eat tomatoes, but the staff was very helpful in recommending a dish called Quesadilla. It was like a sandwich with cheese inside the dough, baked with fillings, and served with salsa sauce, fresh vegetables, and sour cream. It resembled pizza in shape but tasted more like a slightly powdery hot sandwich. The fresh vegetables were served separately, and they even provided ketchup for my son. The drink bar offered unlimited drinks, and I enjoyed beer and highball. The service was attentive and perfect for a father-son duo like us, who can sometimes panic without a mother present. The food was surprisingly delicious and much better than fast food chains like McDonald's, and my 4-year-old son happily devoured his meal. The high chairs might be a challenge for children under 3 years old, but overall, this Mexican restaurant seems to be a great option for families with kids. It's rare to find a place in Kyoto where you can easily try various Mexican dishes, and the restaurant is relatively quiet, making it a hidden gem. It could be a good choice for the upcoming hot season. Just my two cents for your reference! Enjoy!

A few minutes' walk from Karasuma Station and Shijo Station. Today, I had lunch here. The restaurant is located in SUINA Machiya, a food court with multiple dining options. I decided to try the tacos because they caught my eye. I ordered the taco lunch plate, which comes with 4 tacos that you can choose from 4 different options. Shrimp is available for an extra 50 yen, so I decided to try all different types. I asked for no cilantro. Let's dig in! The tacos are smaller than expected, but they are packed with filling. The ratio of filling to shell is a bit off, so be prepared to get your hands dirty. However, the taste is great. If you like spicy food, make sure to use the sauce. All in all, it was a delicious meal! The price is a bit on the higher side at 1,155 yen. Even though the meal comes with a drink bar, the seating is not very spacious so you may not fully enjoy that benefit.

Visited in August 2020. At the time of posting, the restaurant had a rating of 3.18 on Tabelog (based on 6 reviews). I went for lunch at "La Segunda Hoya," a Mexican restaurant in the food court on the B1F of SUINA Muromachi. I arrived for a slightly late lunch and there was only one customer already there. Some people might wonder about the difference between tacos and burritos. Both are famous Mexican dishes, with tacos being made with a corn tortilla filled with various ingredients and salsa, while burritos are made with a wheat tortilla wrapped around many fillings. The main difference is the use of salsa. At this restaurant, you can also choose a wheat tortilla for your tacos. For lunch, they offer sets with tacos, burritos, or a Mexican plate. I opted for the burrito set today, which came with two burritos, soup, and a drink from the drink bar. The burritos were packed with various fillings, making them satisfying to eat, although the flavors were relatively mild. I think adding some hot sauce would give it an extra kick. I initially thought the portion might be small, but the packed fillings made it quite filling. I also forgot about the hot sauce they provided, which would have added more flavor. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

For lunch on this day, I went to a Mexican restaurant. When I arrived at SUINA Muromachi's food hall, it was almost empty with hardly any customers, giving off a lonely atmosphere. I ordered the "Mexican Lunch Plate (tax included 1,100 yen)" and chose iced coffee as my drink. The iced coffee arrived first, and I noticed that the place was quite empty. The food arrived soon after, served at a fast-food pace. The presentation was a bit different this time. Previously, they used disposable plates with dividers. The lunch plate was packed with pork, rice, beans, romaine lettuce, cheese, guacamole, jalapenos, homemade salsa, corn chips, tortillas, lime cream, pico de gallo... as always, a plate full of food. You can wrap your favorite ingredients in the tortilla. The set also included a soup with plenty of ingredients and a tangy flavor. While some shops in the food hall were closed, La Segunda Hora was open for business, ensuring thorough disinfection. It was a satisfying meal. Check out the blog for more details.

For lunch today, I went to a Mexican restaurant in the underground food hall at SUINA Nihonbashi, which I haven't been to in a while. I ordered the "Tacos Lunch Plate (tax included 1,100 yen)" with a hot coffee. The plate came with chicken tacos, pork tacos, beans, and Mexican rice, all in one plate. The portion was quite generous. The chicken tacos (2 mini size) and pork tacos (2 mini size) were delicious. In addition to the tacos, there was a serving of Mexican rice and beans (like unsweetened cooked red beans), along with a soup filled with ingredients. The Mexican cuisine at La Segunda Hoya has a refined flavor with moderate oil and salt content. It's also loaded with vegetables, so you can enjoy it without feeling guilty. During the summer, I usually had iced coffee, but the hot coffee was also delicious. Thank you for the meal. For more details, please refer to my blog "Kokoromano 'ma'".

For lunch today, I went to a Mexican restaurant in the basement food hall of SUINA Nihonbashi, which I hadn't been to in a while. I ordered the "Mexican Lunch Plate (1,100 yen including tax)" and decided to try the hot coffee as the set drink for the first time. The main plate arrived quickly. The positioning of the presentation and the balance of each ingredient seemed to have subtly changed. It looked like there was more meat (pork this time). The rice and bean dishes were placed together in the same space. I wondered if the tacos chips and tortillas were the same as before. Was the guacamole and sour cream gone? The tomato soup with a tangy cilantro aroma was quite hearty. Overall, the balance was just right for me. The post-meal hot coffee had a fluffy cappuccino-like feel and was deliciously satisfying, just like the iced coffee. Thank you for the meal. For lunch today, I went to a Mexican restaurant in the underground food hall of SUINA Nihonbashi. There are three lunch menu options, and I ordered the Mexican Lunch Plate for 1,080 yen, choosing the pork option. I paid at the counter before my meal, and was served a set with ice coffee. The plate arrived with pork, rice, beans, taco chips, cheese, guacamole, and tortillas. The shredded pork was topped with a generous amount of guacamole. You can enjoy rice, tortillas, and taco chips. The bean dish was also delicious, with a soup that had a tangy flavor. I noticed that the tortillas were smaller than my first visit, and seemed to be made from corn flour instead of wheat flour. The portion size was just right this time. Overall, I had a great time enjoying Mexican cuisine at La Segunda Hora. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I was struggling to choose a restaurant for lunch on this hot day, but ended up at this place where delicious iced coffee was included in the set. I ordered an iced coffee and the new lunch menu item "Tacos Lunch Plate (1,080 yen tax included)" at the order counter. I was given the iced coffee first and took it to a table of my choice. The iced coffee from La Segunda Hora is always delicious and comforting. The lunch plate arrived soon after. It included chicken tacos, pork tacos, beans, Mexican rice, soup, and a drink - a great value menu. The flavors were mild enough to enjoy the taste of the beans. The Mexican rice had a nice fluffy texture. The chicken was in a wheat flour tortilla, and the pork was in a corn tortilla maybe? The tomato soup had a refreshing acidity with a hint of cilantro. The temperatures are slowly dropping, allowing for a normal lunch portion to be enjoyed. I received a lunch that gave me energy. Thank you for the meal. Stylish Mexican restaurant with a clean atmosphere. You choose your filling and tell the counter staff, then pay in advance. There is an option to add a drink set for +150. I opted for water this time. I ordered a regular-sized burrito with chicken filling. The food came out quickly, within a few minutes. The burrito, wrapped in foil, was huge when opened. Inside, there was rice, avocado, chicken, beans, onions, tomatoes, cilantro, and more. The flavors blended well, with a slightly sweet and salty taste, and a smooth texture. The cilantro added a nice touch. Tabasco sauce was available on the table, which added a nice kick to the flavors. The rice was soft and moist, blending well with the other ingredients. Despite not having eaten all day, I was quite full after finishing the burrito. It's a great place to enjoy casual Mexican cuisine, with the option for takeout as well. There are various toppings available, so I'd like to try them next time.

During lunchtime on this day, I went to the underground food hall at SUINA Muromachi with our company's senior figure, N-san, for the first time to have lunch together. When we looked at the lunch menu at the order counter, there were now three choices instead of the usual two. I recommended the "Mexican Plate Lunch" to N-san, who was visiting this place for the first time, so we both ordered the same lunch menu instead of the new "Tacos Lunch". N-san chose the "Chicken" for the "Mexican Plate Lunch", while I opted for the "Pork". While sharing interesting stories that we don't usually get to talk about at work, I enjoyed my first lunch with N-san. I found myself enjoying the iced coffee more than the meal, so I decided to order another one. Although there are several places within SUINA Muromachi where I have had iced coffee before, my favorite flavor is the rich and flavorful coffee from La Segunda Hora. As a refill for lunch, I was able to order the second cup for 162 yen including tax. When I asked the staff why the coffee was so delicious, they explained that they had selected various organic coffee beans after careful consideration. This just gave me another reason to keep coming back to this place. And the handwritten name on the cup is just too cute. For lunch today, I went to a Mexican restaurant in the underground food hall at SUINA Nihonbashi. I ordered the "Mexican Lunch Plate (1,080 yen)" again. It's a hearty plate that seems to give me energy on a hot summer day. The soup with a strong sourness and aroma of cilantro is a warm drink that tastes delicious even on a hot day. You can put your favorite ingredients on the tortilla as much as you like. One reason why you might want to visit La Segunda Hoya is the half of the reason that you can feel this richness and aroma, which may be the iced coffee. It's even more convenient that takeout is available. Thank you for the delicious lunch again this time. For lunch today, I headed to the underground food hall at SUINA Nihonbashi to enjoy some iced coffee and Mexican cuisine. I ordered my lunch at the counter and was served my favorite iced coffee first. It had a rich and satisfying flavor. Having had the "Mexican Lunch Plate" for the past three times, I decided to try the "Burrito Lunch Set (tax included 972 yen)" for the first time this time. It was probably the biggest burrito I've ever seen in my life. Along with the burrito, I also had a warm soup with the enticing aroma of cilantro and the tanginess of tomatoes. The burrito was so heavy, it felt like they just wrapped all the ingredients from the usual "Mexican Lunch Plate" - meat, avocado, beans, rice, etc. - in one tortilla. I underestimated the size of the burrito... It might have been around 1kg? I couldn't stop eating halfway through and managed to finish it all (the taste was really to my liking). Next time, I might consider asking if they could make the burrito without rice. Check out my blog for more details: [こころまの「ま」](https://ameblo.jp/39lohas/entry-12489449532.html)

For lunch today, I went back to the Mexican restaurant in the basement food hall of SUINA Nihonbashi. I ordered the "Mexican Lunch Plate (1,080 yen)" at the counter, and paid on the spot. This time, I chose pork instead of chicken. I was seated at a table for two, and the "Mexican Lunch Plate" arrived promptly. This time, there was no soup included, unlike last time when it was complimentary. I chose iced coffee as my drink, which was different from last time in terms of the type of beans used. The plate had finely chopped pork topped with plenty of guacamole and sour cream. The type of rice seemed slightly different from last time. And this time too... rice, tortilla, and taco chips! Perfect for the hot season. I took the iced coffee to go. It was a satisfying lunch. Check out my blog for more details.
