After finishing my trip to Nagoya in July, I moved to Kyoto at night. I stayed at Urban Hotel Kyoto Shijo Premium in Kyoto city, changing hotels while enjoying my stay. The hotel is located about a 10-minute walk from Shijo Station on the Karasuma subway line from Kyoto Station. It may not be within walking distance from Kyoto Station, but the location is still convenient for sightseeing and visiting restaurants in Kyoto. The hotel offers good value for the price, with a twin room for single use costing around 8,000 yen (around 6,000 yen with promotions). The room was decently sized, with a simple desk and a shower booth (the hotel also has a sauna and large public bath). The room was clean and the front desk service was solid. The breakfast buffet was well-organized to manage crowds, offering a variety of dishes including Japanese and Western options, salads, bread, soup, and desserts. Overall, the hotel was clean, traditional, and offered good value for the price.
