I always order the Yuba rice bowl. This time, I ordered the set with fresh Yuba. It is light and delicious. I wanted to order the herring soba with inari sushi set, but it was sold out so I ordered it as a single item. The portion may feel a bit small for men, but the taste is light and delicious.

If you want to eat Yuba ankake don, this is the place to go! When in Kyoto, you must try Yuba - and I found a Yuba ankake don sign in front of Kiyomizu Temple and couldn't resist stopping by. It's a bit hard to find as it's located on the basement floor, but it's a cozy place to enjoy your meal. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Visited Otani Hombyo in Gojo, Kyoto for the Bon festival. Sweating profusely from the scorching heat, I made an emergency escape to Nanohana restaurant inside Otani Hombyo (lol). The cold cha-soba looked delicious, so I ordered a set with mini yuba rice bowl! It came with tempura and was quite filling. The cha-soba was ice-cold and helped me cool down nicely (lol). The yuba rice bowl was also delicious. Thank you for the meal!

Around 1:00 pm, I arrived in Kyoto. Since I had some time before the visiting hours at Otani Hombyo, I decided to have tea at a place called "Nanohana." This restaurant offers a variety of meals such as soba, tempura, curry, as well as tofu and yuba dishes. They also have a selection of cafe menu items and even offer course meals. You don't have to visit Otani Hombyo to dine here. This time, I ordered matcha with sweets (including tax 540 yen), my father ordered iced coffee (including tax 324 yen), my mother also had iced coffee (including tax 324 yen), and my sister ordered vanilla ice cream (including tax 324 yen). The matcha I ordered came with traditional Japanese sweets. The matcha was served in a large bowl, and upon taking a sip, I could taste the bitterness and rich flavor of the tea spreading in my mouth. There were some bubbles in the center of the tea. The sweet was like a red bean-filled steamed bun with a thin skin. The white bun was slightly dry, and the red bean filling tended to spill out, making it a bit difficult to eat. The mild sweetness was a good point. The iced coffee was served in a glass cup that you could customize with simple syrup and fresh cream. It was reasonably priced at 300 yen. The vanilla ice cream my sister ordered came with a surprise - chocolate sauce drizzled on top. She enjoyed it, being a chocolate lover. Overall, it was a satisfying meal!

Yuba udon and inari sushi set for 1045 yen. Although the price exceeded 1000 yen, the taste was delicious. It came with chopped ginger and pickled ginger, which made my body feel warm. Thank you for the meal!

I attended a memorial service in Kyoto. The shop located in the basement of Otani Main Mausoleum was very convenient. The Matsukado Bento for 2000 yen was very delicious. Next time, I want to try the Yuba Don. By the way, the curry udon that the old lady next to me was eating looked really delicious. ((´∀｀*))

Fullness rating: ●●●●○ The rich and gentle dashi sauce generously poured over it gives a sensation closer to drinking than eating. I used to dislike tofu and yuba, but this yuba donburi is so delicious that it can help overcome that dislike! The green of the trefoil topping, the peach color of the ginger, and the gentle yellow of the yuba make it visually appealing. They also offer tempura, set meals, noodles such as udon and soba, and Japanese-style desserts like zenzai. This is a wonderful dining place that I must visit again in Kyoto. Thank you for the meal~
