I had two cocktails and both were really delicious. I especially liked the smoked cocktail in the photo. The alcohol was poured into a large flask, then smoked with cherry wood chips in the same flask with the lid on, and left for a while before being poured into a glass coated with chocolate and salt. The bartender explained the process clearly, so the waiting time until the drink was served was enjoyable. I plan to go back again.

A few minutes' walk from Kawaramachi Station in Kyoto. I stopped by here today. The interior of the restaurant has counter seats and table seats, with the main menu being cocktails. I don't usually drink sweet things, but I decided to be a little adventurous and try a sweet one. So, I went for the apple and cinnamon vodka cocktail. Let's give it a try! The sweetness and cinnamon aroma are really nice. This is basically a drinkable apple pie. It was a good cocktail as a dessert after a meal. So, thank you for the meal! Cocktails are mostly around 1,500 yen. The bartender is friendly, so sitting at the counter seats seems more enjoyable than the table seats.

It's Kyoto. The shop is located in Kyoto, at Shijo-Kawaramachi. It's just up from Shijo Street, on the way to Kiya-cho, before the 25th alley. I found this shop here. It's a chanko restaurant nearby, and after filling up my stomach there, I felt like having a little more to drink. The name of the shop was "Mixology," so I thought maybe I should order something like that? But since we were just a couple of guys, we started with a bourbon soda. They also had smoked cocktails that caught my interest. The bartender was friendly and easy to talk to. The customers at the time I visited were a host-like guy, a couple, and a group of girls who seemed to be hostesses. Also, maybe it was just a coincidence, but the smoking rate among other customers was high, and it felt like we were being smoked with cigarettes instead of enjoying cocktails. Since both my friend and I don't smoke, we started feeling uncomfortable and left early. Maybe it's a comfortable place for smokers since there are few places where you can smoke. It might have just been bad timing, but it didn't suit us.

The cocktail itself was very delicious, but there were too many smokers and it smelled like cigarettes, so I couldn't enjoy it. I was surprised that there are still restaurants that don't pay attention to smoking separation in this day and age. Also, when I visited before, it wasn't like this so maybe it was just a one-time thing, but the quality of the customers seemed to be more like people from the nightlife scene, and it wasn't a place where you could spend a relaxing time in a high-quality atmosphere.

Today, I visited an interesting bar in Kiyamachi recommended by a business partner. ■MIXOLOGY BAR Smooth Mixology is a term that combines "mix" and "ology," meaning mixing and science. This bar offers cocktails made by mixing spirits with fresh fruits and vegetables, without using flavored syrups. The counter was decorated with fresh fruits, and we ordered mixed nuts as a snack. Here are some of the drinks that were ordered: ● Kiwi and Wasanbon Cocktail The cocktail glass had slices of kiwi floating in it, combined with Wasanbon sugar, a specialty sugar from Shikoku. Meanwhile, at the counter, a science experiment-like event was unfolding. Using a smoke machine and smoke chips, a flask was filled with smoke. Circular ice and a glass were placed on the table, and the cocktail was poured from the flask along with the smoke. ● Smoked Cocktail This bar's popular menu item involves adding a smoky flavor to the drink, which was entertaining to watch. ● Strawberry Leonardo I chose this cute cocktail with strawberries. Originally a champagne cocktail, they were able to make it non-alcoholic for me. It had a fresh and sweet taste from the freshly cut strawberries. I enjoyed myself until the last train. It seems like a fun place to visit with friends, especially girls. The relaxed atmosphere of the bar was also great.

I heard about a unique bar and decided to visit it soon after it opened. There was only one bartender, who was very friendly and spoke in a lovely Kyoto dialect! The smoked cocktail was made with Kahlua to make it easier to drink, which was perfect for someone like me who isn't a big drinker. The liquid nitrogen cocktail made with grapes was visually stunning with all the smoke coming out. It had a crunchy texture, almost like a dessert! The interior of the bar had a science lab theme and was very stylish. I definitely want to visit this place again when I come back to Kyoto.

I was impressed by a new bar after a long time! I visited a bar in the Mixology series near Yaesu exit, and since I came all the way to Kyoto, I decided to drop by. The Grasshopper with roasted green tea and sansho pepper is amazing, it feels like an angel from Kyoto, everyone must try it, all humanity. Also, I wanted to end with a refreshing pineapple drink, so I casually ordered one and they surprised me by garnishing it with shiso leaves! This was also impressive! I visit Kyoto for work about once a year, so I will definitely come back again. Since the seating is limited, it might be a good idea to make a reservation for busy days or times, especially if going with multiple people. I have used this place several times but have never actually chosen from the menu (lol). When I pick a fruit from the counter and say I want something sweet or refreshing, they always serve me a delicious drink with great care. I have no idea what they are doing when they make the drink, but they can make exactly what I ask for. The place has only one seat at the counter and one booth. It's clean, the drinks are delicious, and watching them make the drinks is fun. It's a great second date spot. Also, they have a wide variety of drinks, so it's recommended for those who love alcohol!

Perfect for a date! The staff, including the master and part-time workers, were friendly and made conversation enjoyable. We had an original drink made for us, which included homemade liqueur and intricate performances that made each sip exciting. Looking forward to the next visit!

I was taken there by a friend. The atmosphere of the shop was unique and surprising!! It's like a science lab, a fun bar! (laughs) I was overwhelmed by the impact of the interior of the shop, but the taste is also excellent! Even though I'm not a big fan of cocktails, I could easily and deliciously enjoy them.
