It's been over a year and a half since my last visit. I've decided to make an effort to revisit local restaurants like this one in the future. One thing is that the rating criteria in my initial reviews are quite different from now (giving this place ✰2.7 seems too harsh). So, I arrived at 11:30 am as the first lunch customer. The daily bento box had chicken tempura and pork cutlet as the main dishes, so I didn't hesitate to order it. The price was 820 yen, which seems reasonable around here. Since it was the daily special, it arrived quickly. Just like last time, it came in a bento box with salad, ham, spaghetti, pickles, rice, rolled omelet, beef and vermicelli burdock stir-fry. The main dishes were chicken tempura and pork cutlet. I dipped the chicken tempura in the provided salt. The pork cutlet already had a sweet sauce coating. Considering the price, it was a sufficient quality and quantity. I skipped breakfast, so it tasted even better. Let's adjust the rating. Thank you for the meal. BGM: Western music with vocals at a suitable volume. Toilet: Unisex toilet at the back of the restaurant, non-washlet Western-style.... (February 2015) I had been passing by this place a few times and was curious, so today, it happened to be lunchtime, and I entered alone. There were two elderly women, a male solo customer, and three previous customers. The menu mainly focused on bento boxes and seemed quite diverse, or rather, a bit difficult to read. It's good that they have seasonal menus, but I don't really want to see a photo of somen noodles limited to the summer at this time of year. So, I decided to try their signature "Senkaku Bento" for 1070 yen. It included hamburger steak, shrimp fry, grated pork cutlet, rolled omelet, salad, sliced ham, spaghetti, rice, pickles, and miso soup. The salad had a bit too much dressing. The spaghetti was cold and could use some improvement in quality. The rolled omelet was also cold. It would be nice if they warmed it up a bit in winter. The shrimp fry was delicious as usual, with tartar sauce already applied. The grated pork cutlet was surprisingly generous, although small in size, with four pieces. The hamburger steak exceeded my expectations. It's common for hamburger steaks to be tender, but the fluffy texture was delightful. Perhaps because it's located in a more business and government district than my usual lunch area, the prices are slightly higher, starting from 650 yen for lunch with coffee included. When it gets warmer, it might be nice to take it to go and eat it on a bench in the Imperial Palace area.
