I went here after a long time. I had been craving Chinese food for the past 2-3 days, so I hurried to the restaurant. They are operating with shortened hours due to the current situation, and there was only one other group of customers. This visit, I ordered fried rice for 650 yen, Nagasaki-style plate udon for 770 yen, dumplings for 330 yen, and fried chicken for 800 yen (all prices include tax). The fried rice was light and seasoned perfectly, with a subtle ginger aroma. The plate udon was filled with ingredients and had a perfect balance of flavors. The dumplings were soft and melted in the mouth. The fried chicken was thick, juicy, and well-seasoned, making it delicious even without any additional sauce. Overall, the portions were a bit small but everything I tried was delicious. I want to try other items on the menu next time I visit. Rating: 3.5

I have nothing to do with Tenkaippin! Don't get confused! Today's specials are A) Stir-fried leek and egg with fried rice for 980 yen, and B) Ramen with mini fried rice for 920 yen. We also have dumplings! This Chinese restaurant in Murasakino area in Kyoto is known for its Nagasaki-style dishes like Champon and Sara Udon. It's rare to find these dishes in Kyoto, where Cantonese and Fujian cuisine are more common. The lunch special with plenty of vegetables is recommended here. Today's special is Stir-fried leek and egg with fried rice. The fluffy egg soup with pickled mustard greens is a nice touch. It feels like summer with all these healthy vegetables. It's suddenly April! After this, a cup of coffee sounds good. Let's stop by for a 100 yen coffee on the way back home.

I came for the first time on Monday, April 6, 2020 at 11 am. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was nice and lovely. The staff were all nice and had a warm presence. I ordered fried dumplings, grilled dumplings, fried rice, and yakisoba. They were all delicious. I was very satisfied with my lunch. The fried rice had a gentle and outstanding flavor, the dumplings were well seasoned and excellent, and the yakisoba was full of nutritious vegetables with a good crunch and great taste. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely go back. I will enjoy all the delicious food with gratitude. I'm calling for tasty dishes♪ The more you eat, the more power you get♪

Now, this shop I visited this time has been around since my childhood, but I had never been inside before. It was a shop that I knew existed relatively close by, but I had never visited. Even though it was relatively close, I thought it was a bit far to walk to, and I assumed there would be no parking if I went by car. However, when I saw the reviews, I found out that there was parking available, so I decided to visit. It was around 11:30 AM, and there was only one other customer. There are counter seats, table seats, and even a tatami room in the back. It seems like they can also accommodate banquets. The shop is run by three generations of a family, giving it a homely feel. They also offer delivery service. The service was polite and attentive. I ordered the five-ingredient fried rice for 850 yen and the Nagasaki plate udon for 770 yen. It was lunchtime, so it seemed like they were busy with deliveries. The food arrived in less than 10 minutes. The five-ingredient fried rice looked different from what I had imagined. It was fried rice topped with scrambled eggs, and on top of that, there were burdock, green peppers, carrots, and shiitake mushrooms. It was not what I expected with shrimp or char siu in it. It was a bit disappointing. The fried rice had a strong ginger scent. The taste was decent, but I thought it would be better without the ginger. The Nagasaki plate udon, on the other hand, was more traditional. It had pork, squid, small shrimp, fish cake, bean sprouts, carrots, and Chinese cabbage in it, and the saltiness was just right. It was lightly flavored but delicious, and the consistency of the broth was perfect. I found it quite tasty. The thin fried noodles were average. This made me think that maybe the soup dishes are delicious here, so I might try one next time. Since they only do deliveries within a certain range, it seems like I have to visit the shop to try more dishes. It's a bit far for me, but I think it's worth a visit. The classic feel of Chinese cuisine is there, and the prices are reasonable, so it seems convenient to use. I would like to try the fried chicken, sweet and sour pork, and shrimp chili next time. I would definitely consider revisiting this place. 3.3

When I was thinking about that person, I suddenly felt like eating a fluffy fried rice. Let's order the same type of fried rice as the one he likes! And let's also order some pan-fried dumplings. Let's name it "The Best in the World!" He's probably like Hideyoshi, surrounded by beautiful women like Nene, Oichi, and Cha Cha. He must be a bit superficial because he's like Hideyoshi. It would be wonderful to have a lineup of extraordinary beauties. I actually wanted to have tea-soaked wasabi rice with Kyoto pickles. He's like a Kyoto man with an Eastern woman. Today, I didn't meet any wonderful people for some reason. Let's go to Kyoto! Let's imitate the Raid. First, start with the type. A fluffy D-cup fried rice. The difference is that the pink kamaboko is replaced with ham, and the plump green peas are not included in the Kyoto style. However, this fried rice has a slight shine and is fluffy and chewy because it is not twice baked. I really wanted to add something plump, maybe cashews or pistachios. Maybe even raisins. The slightly sweet pan-fried dumplings come in a set of six. Here is the vinegar soy sauce for you. It sounded like "Here is the bath" instead. As you age, your ears and eyes deteriorate.

The number one in the world is also good. Nagasaki Champon! It's warm! When the cold north wind is blowing, a warm bowl of Nagasaki Champon with plenty of vegetables and soup is perfect. Today, in the areas of Kita-ku, Sakyo-ku, Kamigyo-ku, and Nakagyo-ku in Kyoto where the winter wind is blowing, there are only three places where Nagasaki Champon is delicious. So, I chose the closest, most consistent in taste, and cost-effective restaurant to go to. Nagasaki Champon has yellowish thick straight noodles and a light milky broth with plenty of vegetables. The ingredients include cabbage, bean sprouts, carrots, leeks, kamaboko, chikuwa, shrimp, pork, and squid legs. The soup is creamy and delicious with a good amount of pepper. I drank it all up. Of course, they use chili renkon. Yum! Thank you for the meal. It costs 670 yen, and a large serving costs 870 yen.

Nagasaki Champon and Nagasaki Served Udon are rare in Chinese restaurants in Kyoto. As far as I know, there are only three places that serve them. One of these places is a beloved Chinese restaurant called "Tenkaichi" in the Shitake area of Kyoto, near the Kamigamo Shrine. The restaurant is run by a family, with the father handling deliveries and making dumplings, while the mother excels at cooking. The son now runs the kitchen, but it is still rare to see a female Chinese chef. The atmosphere is lively, and the young lady serving is cheerful. The menu at Tenkaichi is extensive, with dishes like fried chicken and sweet and sour pork having large portions. For solo diners, it is recommended to order set meals A or B, as the portions are generous. The daily specials are affordable, with dishes like fried rice and ramen changing daily. Today's recommendation is the Sichuan-style Mapo Tofu Donburi, which is spicy and satisfying. The tofu is cut into square pieces and cooked with a flavorful sauce that balances sweetness and spiciness. The ginger fried rice is also a unique dish, with the option to adjust the saltiness. The restaurant is popular among locals, with families and couples being regular customers. Smoking is allowed in all seats, making it suitable for smokers. Overall, Tenkaichi is a cozy spot for a casual meal, with a variety of delicious options to choose from.

The restaurant visited at night with three people has few reviews, but it has been operating for three generations and is loved by local customers. They offer a wide selection of menu items as they operate continuously. The dishes we tried were: Genghis Khan, Mapo Tofu, Gyoza, Cashew Nut Chicken Stir-Fry, Shrimp Chili Yakisoba, Fried Rice, and Tianjin Fried Rice. The standout dish was the Gyoza, which was small and slender, making it easy to eat. The homemade skin was smooth and had a good chewy texture. The filling was finely chopped vegetables that melted in the mouth with a strong garlic flavor. The Genghis Khan had no lamb odor and the vegetables had a crunchy texture, with a deep flavor from dried shiitake mushrooms. The Mapo Tofu was more spicy than numbing, causing sweat to break out. The Cashew Nut Chicken Stir-Fry had a strong seasoning with Sichuan chili peppers. The Shrimp Chili was also spicy with plenty of chili sauce. The Yakisoba had delicious thick noodles and the Fried Rice had a fragrant oil flavor. The Tianjin Fried Rice had a salty sauce with plenty of rice. We had three glasses of draft beer and one glass of shochu, costing about 2500 yen per person. The taste may vary, but the established flavor of the restaurant and the homemade warmth are its charm. The staff are all kind and create a comforting atmosphere. It's a great restaurant that also offers delivery and has a parking lot for about two cars a bit further down south.

There is a popular Chinese restaurant that has been operating in the alley for a long time. I was taken there by a colleague. The menu is extensive. I ordered my favorite five-ingredient yakisoba and egg drop soup to get a taste of the restaurant. My colleague ordered vegetable stir-fry and dumplings. The egg drop soup had a refreshing flavor and was full of ingredients. It seemed like a certain lady was in charge of making the soup, and she did it very carefully. Now, onto the five-ingredient yakisoba. Despite being my favorite dish, I can only say it was disappointing. The ingredients were not much different from the vegetable stir-fry. Visually, it was also disappointing, and even at 600 yen, it felt overpriced. The pricing is reasonable, and it's great that it's similar to Osho, but I couldn't help but wish that the same care I felt in the egg drop soup was present in everything. The large beer for 570 yen was good though! The soup was delicious, thank you for the meal.

In a residential street, there is a simple Chinese restaurant known for its delicious food. The menu is extensive, making it hard to choose, so I opted for the daily special lunch set (around 800-850 yen). On this day, I had the "Stir-Fried Vegetables and Curry Fried Rice," which was indeed tasty and generous in portion. The mapo tofu and dumplings are also said to be delicious, so I look forward to trying them next time. The atmosphere inside is lively with older male and female staff working together. It's a cozy place where smoking is allowed inside, but there doesn't seem to be a parking lot.

When you return home and head north (beyond Kitayama Street), the number of stores drastically decreases. This restaurant is located in a residential area, but it is a hidden gem. They have a wide variety of menu items, but the biggest attraction is that it is cheap and has generous portions. The taste is also top-notch. The gyoza and karaage are highly recommended. It's fine to go alone for lunch, but it's better to go in a large group for dinner. That way, you can enjoy a variety of dishes. I just wish they were open on Fridays. Lately, there has been a proliferation of cheap Chinese chain restaurants. I hope these individual restaurants continue to thrive. Note: Pork tempura is recommended.

I have been eating at Tenka Ichi since I was a child. They have a variety of menu items and everything is delicious! I especially recommend the dumplings! I have tried dumplings from many places, but these are the best! The skin is soft, the filling is packed with vegetables and other ingredients, and the taste is unique and incredibly delicious! I haven't been there recently, so I plan to go soon and have some dumplings! A serving is 6 pieces, but I have eaten about five servings by myself before! I highly recommend trying it once! You will get hooked!

I went a little north of Kamogawa River, just before the street of Shitake Elementary School, in a residential area. I had passed by the area in my car before, and with the "best ramen in Japan" reputation, I wasn't expecting much in terms of taste from a region that seems to always claim to be the best at everything. However, I later saw on Tabelog that the reviews were good, and I also wanted to try some Chinese food, so I decided to visit the restaurant. It was around 1:30 pm, and besides us, there were three other groups of customers. Despite being in a hard-to-find location, the place seemed to be thriving. We ordered the gyoza (grilled and fried), Nagasaki Katayaki soba, and medium-spicy miso ramen. The grilled gyoza came first, and the ingredients were finely chopped and delicious. I thought of ordering it again, but then I tried the fried gyoza and was amazed! It was incredibly delicious! The dough was chewy and the filling was juicy. I highly recommend the fried gyoza! The portion was small but tasty! The Nagasaki Katayaki soba was also full of vegetables and had a gentle flavor. The medium-spicy miso ramen was more like a basic miso ramen. The noodles were smooth and tasty. While it may not be the best in the world as the name suggests, it was really delicious, and having such a restaurant nearby is comforting. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

In my opinion, the dumplings here rank in the top 3. They are small but packed with filling, and as soon as you bite into them, the garlic flavor bursts in your mouth. It's quite popular, so if you go late, they might be sold out. There are many other menu options, making it hard to choose, but everything is delicious and lives up to expectations. It can be a bit slow when busy with banquets, but that's understandable. The restaurant is run by a family and has a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

I used to live in this area during my student days, so I have a lot of fond memories of this Chinese restaurant. It has a very authentic "local Chinese eatery" vibe. The owner and their family run the place, and it feels like a scene from a movie. The food is not only delicious and generous in portion, but also surprisingly affordable. The only downside is that there is no parking, but even if you park in front, the staff will kindly guide you. I definitely want to go back again. They also offer delivery service, which is very convenient.

This restaurant also offers delivery, so I often order from here. The shop is located in a residential area and not many people outside the local area may know about it. However, all the menu items are delicious without any misses. Highly recommend the fried rice! It has plenty of ingredients and a perfect taste. It's light and just the right amount of salt with finely chopped ginger as the highlight. It's really delicious. The mapo tofu is also delicious. It has a spicy kick that stimulates the appetite and goes perfectly with the fried rice! In addition, the Nagasaki-style plate udon and vegetable soup are always delicious and I can't help but order them.

I called to place an order, but the restaurant said they were very busy and it would be a 90-minute wait. It seemed like it might be impossible, but I really wanted Chinese food so I decided to wait. I ordered a lot of dishes, but the restaurant said some items might not be possible due to the long wait. It was clear that the restaurant was very busy. After 90 minutes, the dishes were brought to the table and they were all delicious. The fried chicken was especially good, big and crispy. I think it's worth waiting if you go on a weekday.
