After leaving the Kyoto Kimuraya main store, we headed to Jumbo Karaoke Plaza. The next day, one of the company presidents had to return home for work. When asked where to go next, the president, who had no prior knowledge of the restaurant, left the decision up to the incompetent assistant. Sorry for being so useless! After leaving the building, we found a famous Kagoshima-themed izakaya inside the same building. Remembering YukiRin's Kagoshima travel posters we saw at Sapporo Station, we decided to go there. Despite no one else going, I personally chose this restaurant due to the good memories of my Kagoshima trip two months ago. We went back into the same building we just left. With a group of seven, we were asked to wait for a table, so we waited near the entrance. At this point, one person was already dozing off. After a while, we were seated by the window and checked the menu. I found the frozen (draft) beer that I missed out on in Nagoya last summer, so I chose that despite the cold weather. When I checked the website later, I saw they also had Hokkaido black beer, but it wasn't available at the time. The menu had many Kagoshima-themed dishes, so I wanted to enjoy a variety of dishes since it was our first stop. We ordered the Satsuma-age from Kushikino (515 yen), the baked cheese curry with a raw egg on top (609 yen), and the Kagoshima specialty Yellow Bear Ice Cream (609 yen). I had tried the White Bear in Tenmonkan Mujaki in Kagoshima, but I couldn't try the Yellow Bear at Cafe Kanojo's house, so I was really looking forward to it. One person was lying down by the window, fast asleep, and the president was snoring away, when the Yellow Bear arrived! However, it had only two pieces of mango on top, not the generous amount shown in the picture. It was a bit disappointing as the quality of the shaved ice was different from what I had in Kagoshima. The Satsuma-age with burdock was tasty, but a bit pricey at 515 yen for two pieces. The baked cheese curry with a raw egg on top, which seemed unrelated to Kagoshima, was like a dry curry and was the best dish. The dynamic plate of cucumbers and cabbage that came as a starter was around 2800 yen for two plates. Although the restaurant in front of Kyoto Station was open late and focused on Kagoshima specialties, the prices were a bit high and the quality was lacking. I didn't try the other Kagoshima specialties, so I can't say for sure, but I hope they focus more on either price or quality in the future.
