I was finally able to visit the Shimizuzaka store ✨ I waited in the rain for it to open ☔️ At first, it wasn't crowded, but soon both the store and the takeout corner were packed, making me realize the popularity of Sumikko. It was nice to see that even foreigners love Sumikko. This time, I bought Sumikko Gurashi baked goods with the characters and strawberry milk ice cream for myself!

I visited "Sumikko Gurashi Hall" in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto! I had a tapioca milk tea (540 yen) - the Sumikko characters are too cute. Did you know that there have been two movies based on Sumikko Gurashi? I'm actually a fan, having watched both films. #KyotoGourmet #KyotoGourmetTrip #KyotoGourmetTour #KyotoGourmetClub #KyotoSightseeing #KyotoSightseeingSpot #KyotoSightseeingArea #KyotoSightseeingInfo #KyotoSightseeingGuide #KyotoSightseeingLandmarks #KyotoHospitalityAmbassador #Higashiyama #HigashiyamaSightseeing #KiyomizuTemple #KiyomizuTempleCafe #KiyomizuTempleFoodTour #KiyomizuTempleArea #KiyomizuTempleGourmet #SumikkoGurashi #SumikkoPhotoClub #SumikkoGurashiHall #SumikkoGurashiPhotoClub #KyotoDate #KyotoDateSpot #KyotoDate❤️ #HigashiyamaWard

"Kyoto Higashiyama Ward" About a 20-minute walk from Keihan Main Line Kiyomizu-Gojo Station, a popular shop on Kiyomizu-zaka, 'Sumikko Gurashi-do Kiyomizu-zaka Store' [Visited on 2021.11.28] After visiting Kiyomizu Temple, we strolled through souvenir shops... Among the array of popular street sweets such as ice cream, tapioca, and crepes, what caught my daughter's eye was this place! Popular 'Sumikko Gurashi' huh~(^O^) Well, can't be helped~ What is 'Sumikko Gurashi baby castella'... Purchased the 'Sumikko Gurashi baked set for 1430 yen' Splurged for my daughter! A bit expensive, right~ In short, it's a baby castella featuring the characters of Sumikko Gurashi~ Quite a clever marketing strategy~ Looks delicious and cute... Well, of course~(^^;) In terms of taste, it's not much different from the ones you often buy at food stalls... If enjoying with your eyes is also a charm of sweets, then I guess it's good~ Seeing my daughter's happy face, I think it was a good purchase... Bon appétit~♪♪

Let's go to Kyoto! A must-visit spot, enjoy the autumn leaves at Kiyomizu Temple. After admiring the bright red leaves, head towards Kyoto Station. Along the way, you may come across an interesting shop called Sumikko Gurashi Do, which sells Sumikko Gurashi merchandise. It's a dream come true for Sumikko Gurashi fans. Kyoto is the perfect place for this kind of shop, right? The Sumikko Gurashi manju (6 pieces) for 324 yen is basically Sumikko Gurashi-shaped sweets. I enjoyed them on the Shinkansen ride back. They truly tasted like Sumikko Gurashi. Bon appétit!

The collaboration stamp rally between Sumikko Gurashi and Hankyu Railway was amazing. I was ecstatic the whole time. The final blow was Sumikko Gurashi Doi Shimizuzaka store. I had kept this place a secret from my daughter, so when she found the store, she went crazy with excitement (laughs). The entrance had a cute photo board for taking pictures too! The store was filled with Sumikko Gurashi items. The first floor had exclusive items that you can only buy at this store, including Sumikko Gurashi-themed snacks. The hanging plushies were so cute that I wanted to scream! I ended up spending almost an hour inside the store. When we left, we found the Sumikko Gurashi Doi Baby Castella store right next to it. The menu at the counter was a bit hard to see, so I took a picture of the menu above. The prices were a bit high, but it felt more like buying goods rather than food. My wife and daughter chose the famous Sumikko Gurashi Castella. It was too cute! I couldn't eat it. We were debating whether to buy a plushie cup holder or not. Without the cup holder, it was 300 yen, with it, it was 1300 yen. The 1000 yen difference was significant, but since we had come all the way here, we decided to buy the cup holder. It was too cute! The Sumikko Gurashi Castella inside was delicious. There were 6 pieces in a pack. My daughter was very happy, and we ended our visit to Kiyomizu-dera and went back home. By the way, the Sumikko Gurashi cookies we bought for home were too cute to eat...but my wife, who mercilessly ate them before taking a picture, will keep that a secret!

Hello~ On Sunday evening, my family and I went to Kiyomizu Temple and the little one really likes Sumikkogurashi. The Sumikkogurashi baby castella is so cute, right? The little one below was smiling happily. Good for them!

On my day off, I came to Kyoto for a visit. I am near Kiyomizu Temple. Kyoto is hot and crowded with the Gion Festival in full swing. Sumikko Gurashi-do, which mainly sells miscellaneous goods, was filled with cute products. On the way back, I ordered a stuffed animal cup holder tapioca drink set. It had cream inside and was delicious. It came with a cute cup holder for 1750 yen.

It is incredibly cute and charming, with an atmosphere that would make anyone want to buy something even if they're not a fan. The store also sells Sumikko Gurashi goods, making it a must-visit for fans and non-fans alike. These stores are not found everywhere, but only in tourist areas, so be sure to explore if you come across one.

Discovered a Sumikko Gurashi store! I'm not a passionate fan or anything, but it's cute. The baby castella is so cute and delicious. It's been a while since I've had it, so I'm happy. The piled up in front of the store is also cute. Thank you for the meal!

I visited Kiyomizu-dera in Kyoto and stopped by Sumikkogurashi Do on the way to Gojozaka. After praying, I visited the takeout window next to the merchandise store, where they offer tapioca drinks, soft serve ice cream, and the famous Sumikkogurashi baby castella. The baby castella is available in various containers like acrylic cups, paper bags, and tote bags for different purposes like eating on the go, taking home, or as souvenirs. The prices vary accordingly, and the baby castella was a well-made treat with a good amount of quality and a pleasing appearance.

Ginkakuji Temple Approach Baby Castella Shop - I bought 12 pieces of Sumikko Gurashi baked castella for 550 yen for hiking up Mt. Omoide. The castella was freshly baked and hot, so I couldn't wait to start eating it. It tasted like the familiar baby castella flavor (which is to be expected).

Castella in the shape of a corner is cute! I chose the Mont Blanc set, but I recommend it without Mont Blanc! Children are very happy with it as a souvenir! It's a limited edition product, so I recommend it!
