In the area around Mukojima, this Japanese restaurant is one of the more authentic ones. It is run by a husband and wife, and even though the husband cooks all the dishes himself, each dish is carefully crafted and the prices are surprisingly affordable. The sashimi of thread-sail filefish, served with its liver and ponzu sauce, is simply irresistible. I love thread-sail filefish. I ended up drinking too much sake. The marinated firefly squid is homemade and has a great aftertaste. Bamboo shoots, currently in season, are served as tempura with homemade salt. The fried mino dish has a memorable crunchy coating. Every Tuesday, local sake is only 500 yen a glass. I ended up eating and drinking too much. If you ever find yourself in this area, I highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you for the feast.
