On a business trip to Kyoto~ Ate at the restaurant called Shokurakubeya Minami near Kyoto Station, then took a taxi to Kyoto Kawaramachi Station~ Had a casual meeting at a seasonal vegetable x Kyoto izakaya Hitokuchi~ After that, we split up, but I stayed and went into this bar~ It had a nice atmosphere, with good visuals and sound~ I didn't take any photos, but it felt open and well-ventilated, making it comfortable to stay~

A fancy shop in a building on the first floor of Koyamachi that resembles an amusement facility, with an open entrance that exudes a certain presence. The interior combines monochrome flooring with a ceiling that mixes ruggedness with a touch of pink, and cute dot-themed wallpaper, creating a quite poppy atmosphere. At night, neon lights beautifully illuminate the sexy and cute interior, fitting for the city. Customers serve themselves and pay upfront at the counter. I chose a café latte, priced at ¥500. The machine used is the popular La Marzocco, delivering a smooth milk foam and an excellent latte with a hint of coffee bitterness.

After dinner, I still wanted to chat, so my friend mentioned a place she saw on Instagram and we decided to check it out! It's a cafe where you can eat the cup too, serving espresso. I was excited to try it out! The cafe was located next to a club, which made me a bit nervous to go alone. When we got there, I ordered from the friendly staff, paid, and then they made the espresso right in front of us! The latte art was amazing! The cookie was a bit sweet, but balanced well with the bitter espresso. Overall, I enjoyed the espresso and the experience at the cafe.

Ecopresso, a popular cafe, has opened in Kyoto. I decided to check it out as it seemed interesting. The cafe is located on the first floor of a building, with an open layout and colorful lighting in shades of purple and pink. The walls are decorated with posters reminiscent of Andy Warhol's style. While the atmosphere would be nice at night, it felt a bit out of place during the daytime, almost like a game center. Despite my initial hesitation, my friend who is very sensitive to heat insisted on staying. The staff, who seemed more suited for the evening, served us their Ecopresso for 500 yen, Ecocappuccino for 600 yen, and Ecoaffogato for 700 yen, which we decided to try. The interesting part was that you could top the Ecoaffogato with cotton candy, which you could make yourself using a machine outside the cafe for 100 yen. The shape of the cotton candy I made was quite clumsy and not very photogenic, so I won't be posting a picture (laughs). Despite feeling out of place in the cafe's atmosphere, the Ecoaffogato was actually quite good. It was served in a demitasse cup, which seemed small at first, but the thick biscuit cup provided a satisfying crunch. The inside was coated with icing for waterproofing, and the slight crunchiness from the espresso added to its deliciousness. Note: The red lighting in the cafe made the photos appear red as well, and my attempts to correct it were unsuccessful.

First of all, I am generally tolerant of the way restaurants express their flavors, and it doesn't bother me if a restaurant claims to be the "most delicious in the world" because taste is subjective. However, I am strict when it comes to objective elements like "first time," "cheap," or "unique" in their expressions. For example, if a menu item looks different from the photo, that is an objective issue. In the case of the "Anywhere Door Harajuku Store" in Tokyo, they are promoting a "Corn Shot" as a Japan-first offering. However, this claim is a bit questionable because there are similar items already available, such as the "Ecopresso Cup" at R.JCAFE in Osaka. Another store, "ECOPRESSO Kyoto," opened on April 1st in Kyoto, offering a similar concept where the cup is edible. While there are differences in the materials used (cookie vs. corn), the essence of both products is the same - an espresso served in an edible container. Therefore, I find it a bit off-putting when they claim to be the first in Japan just because their cup is made of corn.

ECOPRESSO Kyoto is a popular spot that you can't miss on Instagram. They serve espresso in cups made of cookies, with cute latte art on top. This concept became a hit in Osaka, then expanded to Tokyo, and now there's a branch in Kyoto too! The Kyoto store is conveniently located in Shijo Kawaramachi, on the first floor of the Imaziamu Building. The atmosphere is like a dimly lit bar, with seats available inside and outside where you can enjoy the view of Takano River. There are three types of drinks available, each served in a cookie cup. They also offer a Kyoto-exclusive drink called Sakura Presso, which you can make yourself using the cotton candy machine outside the store. Before enjoying your ECOPRESSO, you can create your own cotton candy for an extra touch of sweetness. The process of making the ECOPRESSO is similar to making regular espresso or cafe latte, with attention to detail in the latte art. The cup is about the size of a demitasse cup. Be careful not to handle the cup too much, as it may break easily. The taste of the espresso is enhanced by the icing inside the cookie cup, making it a delightful treat. It's not just photogenic, but also fun and delicious. I would love to try all the varieties they offer. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

In March, I had the opportunity to try Eco Espresso for the first time in Tokyo's Denenchofu neighborhood. I heard that there is a shop in Kyoto selling Eco Espresso, so I visited with my friends. The shop is located right by the Takase River. At first glance, it looked like a shop selling alcohol, but they did have Eco Espresso. I ordered a Macchiato for 650 yen (tax included). The previous reviewer mentioned that the Macchiato was 600 yen, and the menu photo also showed 600 yen, but I remembered it being 650 yen. Maybe I misremembered... The interior of the shop looked dark, so we decided to wait at the outdoor seating area (with a roof). The Eco Espresso was finally served, and the art on top took some time to make. One of them was already starting to blend in! The art was very cute. The Espresso had a stronger bitterness compared to the one I had in Tokyo, and it was delicious and stimulating.

I visited Eco Presso in Kyoto, located up from Shijo Kiya-machi, recommended by Mairebi. The art and cups were elaborate, and I enjoyed espresso while munching on the cup itself! Thanks to Mairebi's recommendation, I was curious and visited after having a meal in Shijo Kawaramachi. It's great that they are open even after 9 pm. I didn't realize there was such a place up from Shijo Kiya-machi! It's a cafe bar. The interior has an American pop vibe with a striped counter and pink accents, and the Rolling Stones poster is impressive. Since I was full from dinner, I ordered the Eco Presso for 650 yen to share with a friend. It came in a cute cup made of cookies, with espresso inside and adorable cafe art. They mentioned that the cup could easily detach, so they held the cup for us. The inside of the cup is coated with sugar to prevent the cookies from absorbing moisture, similar to whiskey bonbons. The art and cups were elaborate and lovely. I enjoyed the espresso without sugar and nibbled on the cookie. It was a two-in-one experience! It was definitely worth trying and delicious!

Ecopresso is an espresso that can be eaten with the cup. You can take a picture, take a bite, and enjoy it. The cup was unexpectedly thick. Ecopresso Macchiato costs ¥650. The barista kindly advised me to hold the entire cup, not just the handle. The intricate latte art matched well with the cookie cup. It was delicious. It was fun. Thank you for the meal.

After eating omurice, I was captivated by the cherry blossoms in Kiyamachi and ended up here. My niece asked me to visit Kyoto and share my impressions with her, so I came to this Imajium Building. There is a signboard menu decoration at the front, and as you go further back, it feels like a slightly American-style bar. They have other drinks, but they also offer something called Eco-presso in three varieties: Eco-presso (500 yen), Eco-presso Macchiato (600 yen), and Eco-presso Affogato (700 yen). I chose the Affogato. It came in an edible cup with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, and then espresso was poured over it. They told me to pour it from the back, but it was a bit difficult (laughs). So, I took a few bites and then poured the espresso. It had a slightly bitter taste. After finishing the drink, I bit into the cup, which was like a solid cookie. It was delicious, with a hint of coffee flavor. Maybe next time I'll bring my niece and try the Macchiato.

Ecopresso is explosively popular, especially on social media. Originally only in Osaka and Tokyo, but unexpectedly opened in Kyoto! While they offer cafe latte and Americano, I chose the Ecopresso Macchiato. The barista at Marzocco skillfully brewed it. The interior has an American vibe, almost like being in Universal Studios. Perfect for a quick drink. The "Nekopresso" (cat-shaped cup) is super cute. After finishing the drink, you get a cookie cup soaked in espresso. It's 600 yen, but you get to enjoy both the Macchiato and the cookie. The Ecopresso itself is quite delicious. Definitely recommend going before it gets crowded. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I asked for day and night w. The fruit juice during the day is really delicious! It's a juice made from 100% fruit squeezed out for its deliciousness using a slow juicer. I chose apple and lemon juice, and it was surprisingly delicious. At night, you can use it as a break area for Club World w, which is also helpful. It's a nice restaurant where you can feel like you're overseas in a stylish interior.

After lunch, I headed to POP KYOTO! You can get such a cute fluffy espresso here♡ The interior is very stylish, cute, and cool. When you step inside, you'll think, "Is this Kyoto??" It's a cafe with a surprising gap. It turns into a bar at night. The fluffy espresso cotton candy is made at the entrance machine♡ Making cotton candy was a first-time experience for me! It was fun^^ The strong espresso + cup made of cookies + cotton candy, the sweetness or cool bitterness, everything mixed together just right. It's near the station, so I plan to visit again♡POP KYOTO.
