One of the most famous soup curry restaurants in Shimokitazawa. Among the soup curry restaurants that expanded from Hokkaido to Shimokitazawa, "Curry Shokudo Kokoro" and "Rojiura Curry SAMURAI" have rapidly expanded and can now be enjoyed in various locations. The soup is made without any chemical seasonings, flour, or oil, and is full of nutrients. The large chunks of vegetables are sourced from Hokkaido. They are a representative presence in the world of Japanese soup curry. Recommended dish: "Samurai Matsuri" (¥1815) with soup change to "Mild Coconut" (¥100). Rojiura Curry SAMURAI has a ticket machine in front of the store, and when your turn comes, an automated voice guide will call your phone. This restaurant is particular about vegetables and sources them from contract farmers mainly in Shibetsu and Nayoro cities in Hokkaido. The most popular dish is the "20-vegetable curry for a day," but I strongly recommend the "Samurai Matsuri." The "Samurai Matsuri" includes 12 types of vegetables and allows you to choose three toppings, making it a great deal. Today, I chose "Samurai Zangi," "Shrimp," and "Crab Cream Croquette." I usually eat spicy curry, but at this restaurant, I recommend trying the Mild Coconut Soup with no spiciness and a sweet taste. The soup curry is rich in vegetables such as carrots, burdock, okra, wood ear mushrooms, bell peppers, cabbage, green peppers, pumpkin, eggplant, lotus root, soybeans, and broccoli. When you choose the Mild Coconut Soup, it has a smooth taste like coconut juice. The surprisingly large burdock has a sticky texture from potato starch, which is delightful. Each vegetable is large, especially the surprising size of the wood ear mushrooms. The deep-fried broccoli is also very satisfying. The "Samurai Zangi" topping includes two large pieces of fried chicken. The meat quality is excellent. The newly introduced Crab Cream Croquette has a crispy surface with creamy crab filling, which goes well with the curry. The shrimp consists of about three small shrimp. There are also menu items like oysters, so trying those might be a good idea.
