On June 10, 2020, Wednesday, I bought a Chicken Nanban bento for lunch. The restaurant was clean with a nice atmosphere. The Chicken Nanban was excellent with the perfect combination of mayonnaise, acidity, and sauce that soaked into my whole body. It was incredibly delicious and satisfying. I've decided to have Chicken Nanban bento for lunch again tomorrow because it's so good. And it's cheap too. The customer satisfaction is outstanding. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely go back. I appreciate all the ingredients in this world. Calling all delicious foods♪ The more I eat, the more power overflows♪

After returning from the hospital, I easily stopped by "Washoku no Sato" for dinner. There is also a "Washoku no Sato" near my house, but I had never been to this Shimotoba store before. It was my first time writing a review. The atmosphere was just like the other "Washoku no Sato" stores, and there was no sense of discomfort. I had a set meal of tempura rice bowl and mini soba noodles. The meal was just as good as at other "Washoku no Sato" locations. Thank you for the delicious meal! It was around 8 pm on Saturday night, and the restaurant was almost full.

I stopped by after a funeral service. The Japanese restaurant has a calm atmosphere with private rooms and elegant interior, making it a good choice for more formal occasions. The clientele is relatively quiet, which is nice. The menu offers a good variety of set meals and individual dishes, making it easy to choose. The taste is definitely not bad. I left satisfied.

During a business lunch on the way to a meeting in Kyoto, I stopped by here for a final meeting and to recharge before visiting a client. I chose this place because lately, family restaurants have been focused on being cheap, which results in cramped seating that is not conducive to meetings. I thought that here, I would be able to have a more relaxed conversation. However, even though the seats were relatively spacious, there was only one waitress on a large floor who would place water on the table and then disappear. The tables had touch panels, which was a bit unexpected. I just wanted to order the daily lunch special, but had to navigate the touch panel to do so. I managed to order with the touch panel (and got a 33 yen discount for my efforts), but it felt impersonal. Despite the spacious and quiet environment, the experience felt lacking.

As it's getting colder, I started craving hot pot and decided to visit this Japanese restaurant called Sato. I went on a Saturday at 6 pm and was able to get a seat easily as there were still available seats. Just like last time, I ordered the Sato Shabu Premium (2570 yen). This time, they had changed the menu a bit since my last visit to the Uetoribadate store two months ago. The hot pot broth options were spicy miso broth and rich soy sauce broth. I was also intrigued by the Tsukimi Sukiyaki broth. When I sat down, I noticed that the tables seemed a bit more spacious compared to other places I've been to. However, the seating near the entrance was visible to waiting customers. The quality and taste of the hot pot were consistent with what I've had at other chain stores like the Uetoribadate store. We also ordered some new menu items like Itoyori Tai tempura, vegetable tempura, and strawberry almond jelly. The tempura came with matcha salt on the side and was delicious when freshly fried. The hot pot ingredients included thinly sliced meat and okra, which were not available during my last visit, showing that they change with the seasons. There were three staff members serving the tables, but by 7:30 pm, the tables were empty with waiting customers. Although ordering through the touch panel helps cut labor costs, it seemed like they were short on cleanup staff. The three staff members seemed a bit overwhelmed, but it didn't affect our experience. As winter approaches, I'll likely visit Sato Shabu again before the end of the year.

This is a review of the restaurant "Washoku Sato" in Shimotoba, Kyoto. The restaurant is located along Route 1, on the side heading north. The parking lot and the store itself are quite large, making it one of the bigger Washoku Sato locations. The interior is spacious with table seating as well as tatami seating for larger groups. It was almost full when we visited for dinner with a group of six, so we were seated in a spacious tatami area towards the back. We ordered the "Tempura Kamatama Udon" for 890 yen, which was a new menu item. It came in a large bowl with kamatama udon and tempura on the side. The kamatama udon had toppings like egg, shredded seaweed, bonito flakes, and green onions, with a special "rich and savory bonito sauce" served on a separate dish. The tempura included shrimp, seaweed, lotus root, shiitake mushrooms, and broccoli. The udon noodles were surprisingly neatly cut with a slightly thinner texture compared to traditional udon. The flavor of the noodles itself was a bit bland, but when mixed with the rich bonito sauce, it transformed into a delicious dish. The tempura was crispy and fresh, with a good variety of vegetables. The broccoli tempura was a unique addition, with a crispy coating and a soft texture inside. Overall, Washoku Sato is a reliable family restaurant with satisfying menu options. The kamatama udon here offers a unique enjoyment of savoring the rich sauce rather than the noodles themselves.

I visited the Shitoro Hane store in Kyoto Minami, along the number one highway, with a curiosity about the cost performance of "Washoku no Sato". The store has been around for quite some time, but the interior has recently been renovated to the "Sato version". Since it was already past lunchtime, the store was about 40% full. Today, I ordered the Nagomi Bento for 830 yen. Similar to Sushi Han, it includes chawanmushi, tempura, chirashi sushi, and soba, a golden combination. The cooking was done carefully, and considering the spaciousness of the seating, the fullness of the meal, and the variety of dishes, I think it offers excellent cost performance for a family restaurant lunch with a Japanese twist. I look forward to the transformation of Sato. Thank you for the meal.

I went to dinner with a friend on a regular day. Of course, we went to "Satoshabu Premium". It was not crowded on a weekday night. For the shabu-shabu, you can choose two types of broth, but if you eat a lot, I think a light flavor is better. The meat quality is buffet-style, so if you expect too much, you may not be satisfied. We chose the premium option, so besides meat, we could order a variety of items like salad, vegetables, meat, fried food, sushi, noodles, etc. However, you can only choose one dessert from a few options. The taste overall is like a regular family restaurant, so it's best not to have high expectations. The restaurant has a family restaurant atmosphere, with tables neatly separated and an order buffet system, so it's okay to have small children. The cost for the premium option is around 2500 yen. By adding about 500 yen to the regular Satoshabu, you can upgrade to the premium option, which gives a sense of value, but it doesn't compare to a high-rated 2500 yen buffet. I think I will use this place again in the future, but I won't order Satoshabu anymore.

I like the daily lunch specials which offer good value. The portion size is just right, and I often order an additional coffee. My family and I occasionally come here, and even though my kids order more expensive items, we all enjoy the meal. Saturdays are not too crowded, so it's a nice place to relax and eat. If we can't decide where to eat, we usually end up here. The menu includes rice, miso soup, side dishes, vegetables, and pickles. The staff are friendly and seem to be locals. There are other restaurants nearby, but I would miss this place if it wasn't here.

I used it for lunch on a weekday ★ It was a weekday lunchtime, so there were quite a few customers and it was bustling. For salarymen, volume and low prices are important for lunch, so I was looking for a reasonably priced menu for lunch and found the miso katsu set meal for 950 yen, so I ordered it right away. 950 yen is quite a price, so I had high expectations, but there wasn't much volume and there wasn't much rice, so I was disappointed that there wasn't much volume for the price. I thought I would order tonkatsu at another restaurant.

It is located along Route 1 with no notable restaurants around, and I couldn't resist my hunger so I decided to try Sato after a long time. It was not crowded as it was past the lunch peak hours. I ordered the Nagomi Bento which includes soba, chirashi, tempura, kobachi, and chawanmushi for 830 yen. The taste was average at best. Maybe it's because it's a family restaurant, but... Although some might think it's a good deal with so many items included in the set, for those who value quality over quantity, it feels like a bit of a loss. After finishing the meal, I thought I wouldn't come back to Sato for another 10 years...
