I visited the cafe on a regular Thursday at 3:30 PM. When I arrived, there were no customers in the cafe area. I thought it was a hidden gem, but as soon as I sat down, customers started coming in and by 4:00 PM, all tables were full. The cafe has a limited number of tables, with only four 4-person tables. When it gets crowded, they may have to split tables for 2 people. I ordered the freshly baked Kin-Tsuba for 748 yen, Sayama tea for 418 yen, and Anmitsu for 715 yen, but unfortunately, the Anmitsu was sold out. I decided to go with the Kakigori for 770 yen, as it wasn't too hot for Anmitsu. They had a special set offer for the Kin-Tsuba and coffee for 605 yen, but I didn't want coffee with red bean paste, so I asked if I could switch the coffee for Sayama tea at the same price. Unfortunately, they only offered the set with coffee. I ended up ordering the Kin-Tsuba and Sayama tea separately, with an additional charge of 148 yen. The Kin-Tsuba took about 20 minutes to be served, and it was delicious. The hot Kin-Tsuba was different from the usual take-out version, with a soft outer layer and hot, soft red bean paste. The Sayama tea I ordered separately was also excellent, with a rich flavor. The cafe and store are connected without a partition, which may make it feel a bit chaotic, but overall, it's a great place to take a break with reasonable prices. It's slightly hidden from the main street, giving it a cozy feel. I hope to try the Anmitsu next time.

The cool interior of the store has a cafe corner that also offers takeout. It feels inviting and easy to enter. They also serve shaved ice during this season, perfect for a little break. I bought several items for takeout, including kin-tsuki, dorayaki, manju, and takadono (chestnut wrapped in sweet bean paste). They also had items like isobe maki and dango. The dorayaki was especially delicious! The skin was fluffy and chewy.

A cafe attached to a long-established traditional Japanese confectionery shop founded in the Edo period. The seating is limited, but you can enjoy a leisurely tea time. The sweet red bean paste, unique to a Japanese confectionery shop, is very delicious. The anko is light yet has a strong sweetness, making it highly recommended. The shop also offers a wide variety of traditional Japanese sweets perfect for souvenirs or gifts, so it's nice to browse the shop before leaving.

Eitaro, famous for its candies, has a café in Nihonbashi. I visited on a Saturday around 3 pm because I was craving anmitsu. The café had 5 table seats and 2 high chair seats. There is also a souvenir shop inside where you can browse while waiting for a table. The café was full when I arrived, so I had to write my name down and wait for about 10 minutes. Since I am pregnant, sitting on a high chair was challenging, but luckily a table seat became available and the staff kindly moved me there. I ordered the Anmitsu Parfait for 935 yen and cold-brewed Uji tea for 418 yen. I was hoping they would have matcha since it's a Japanese-style café, but they didn't have any, which was a bit surprising. The Anmitsu Parfait looked very fancy, with high-quality strawberries and smooth red bean paste. The soft serve ice cream had a rich milk flavor, and the shiratama was different from the usual, more like suama, which I really liked. Overall, it was delicious. The café is located inside a souvenir shop, so my expectations for the taste were low, but I was pleasantly surprised. I would definitely want to come back. However, there doesn't seem to be a time limit for table usage, so the turnover might be slow. It's a hidden gem, but it feels like the older ladies there could chat forever.笑

I have visited this place more than 5 times and I never get tired of it! The freshly baked Kin-Tsuba and warm mochi-filled dorayaki are amazing this season! Of course, they also have zenzai (sweet red bean soup). I bought strawberry daifuku at the souvenir corner. The strawberries were big and sweet, and they went really well with the sweet bean paste. My family back home was so impressed! This place is satisfying for both dining in and buying souvenirs.

We had lunch in Nihonbashi and then walked around for shopping, until we arrived at the front of Eitai-rou Souhonbutsu. Let's take a break and have something sweet at E-Chaya. When we entered the shop, there were empty seats available. We were lucky because many customers arrived after us. First, we placed our order at the counter. They had Matsugen Mochi Omusubi available that day. So, we decided to have Matsugen Mochi Omusubi, Nihonbashi Dorayaki Mochi Butter, and a set with warm Sayama tea. My wife ordered Eitai-rou Anmitsu Parfait (Honey Lemon Candy) and freshly baked Meidai Kinkan with coffee set. The freshly baked Meidai Kinkan takes some time to prepare as they bake it after ordering. That's not a problem. You can see them carefully baking the Kinkan on the hot plate. We didn't have to wait long before the Matsugen Mochi Omusubi, Nihonbashi Dorayaki Mochi Butter, and Sayama tea arrived. Shortly after, the Eitai-rou Anmitsu Parfait (Honey Lemon Candy) was served. After a little wait, the freshly baked Meidai Kinkan and coffee arrived. The Matsugen Mochi Omusubi is a rice ball with visible grains of mochi rice. It's red rice, but not sticky. It's delicious to eat with the Nihonbashi pickled salt. It's nice to be able to enjoy this kind of flavor. The Nihonbashi Dorayaki Mochi Butter is made with Calpis butter and soft Matsugen mochi. The combination of red bean paste and butter is delicious, and the texture of the mochi is also tasty. The dough is also delicious. My wife really enjoyed the Anmitsu Parfait and Kinkan. We were able to enjoy delicious dorayaki and omusubi from this long-established shop. Now, let's head to the station. Thank you for the meal.

After finishing lunch in Marunouchi and shopping at Mitsukoshi, we were planning to have some tea at a famous chocolatier's café in Nihonbashi. However, we suddenly changed our minds and decided to visit this place instead. The café at Eitaro Sohonten's main store has a small number of seats, so I was worried it might be crowded, but luckily there was a table available when we arrived. I ordered the Wagashi and drink set with cold green tea, and chose the Kaga-bo Wagashi. The refreshing green tea and sweet Wagashi were a perfect treat after a long day of walking. My friend enjoyed the Hojicha soft serve, while I had a hot coffee, which was nothing special but still good. The café quickly filled up, making it hard to relax, but the delicious Japanese sweets make it worth a visit. It was a nice break for tea time before heading home.

I had been wanting to visit this place for a while and finally made it. It's called Eitaro Honpo. Oh, I remember the old commercial, "Hi, I'm Eitaro♪" I don't see it around much these days though. Oh, sweet beans. I used to hate sweet beans when I was a kid. I didn't find the commercial appealing at all, and I thought, "I don't need rice delivered by a rice shop!" The shop also sells various products, and the front right side is set up for dining in. There are about 5-6 tables for 4 people each. It's a cozy environment for dining in, more like a modern self-serve cafe than a traditional coffee shop. I was recommended to reserve a seat first (even though it wasn't crowded), then order and pay at the counter. They bring the order to your table, but you have to return the tray to the drop-off area when leaving. I ordered the anmitsu parfait. Although it's called a parfait, it's more like a cream anmitsu based on the name. I was happy to see soft serve ice cream included. There are several types of syrup available, like brown sugar, plum, strawberry, and lemon? I chose strawberry. I didn't want brown sugar, and I was unsure if plum or lemon would go well with it, so I went with a safe choice. You have to get your own water. Other sweet options include dorayaki and soft serve ice cream. The parfait is topped with canned mandarin oranges, cherries, white dumplings, and red bean paste, with soft serve ice cream on top. The white dumplings might actually be mochi. They are not slippery. There's also a hard candy in the front, which was explained to me. They told me to enjoy it at the end, but I didn't really need that. It's a fun mix of fruits, soft serve ice cream, red bean paste, and the price is quite affordable, so it's a nice place to take a break. While there are many other places with better tasting fruits, soft serve ice cream, and red bean paste, the smaller size here is nice. Places like Le Reve or Sembikiya are delicious, but they are too big. I always wish they were a bit smaller so I could enjoy them more. Are they trying to make the world fat? This place is really affordable in terms of size and price. It's easy to use and enjoy.

Located about a 5-minute walk from Nihonbashi Station, I visited this shop. I have used the space next to the café to purchase takeout and souvenirs before, but this time I visited the shop around 2 pm on a weekday. It was past lunchtime and not quite snack time yet, so the store was quiet. I had some tea at the café and purchased some traditional Japanese sweets from the display window, as well as some items for takeout. Inside the shop, I tried a Kin-tsuki, and for takeout, I had some rice cakes and sakura mochi. The sweets were quite sweet, as I mentioned in a previous review. The Kin-tsuki, in particular, had a strong sweetness despite its small size, making it suitable as a tea snack. On the other hand, the sakura mochi and rice cakes, while also sweet, were not as overpowering as the Kin-tsuki. The café itself was a bit noisy due to the adjacent souvenir shop, with a lot of people coming in and out. It doesn't offer a very relaxing atmosphere, so it seems more suitable for a quick visit like a tea house rather than a leisurely café experience.

Eitaro Ameya is a charming candy shop♪ Inside, there are limited edition cute candy cans and colorful lollipops that create an exciting collection of products✨I decided to have tea in the cafe space♪ There were seats by the window, but I wanted to enjoy the candy, so I chose a stand seat closer to the center. I placed my order and paid at the counter first. When the order was ready, it was brought to my seat♪ Water and cleaning up are self-service✨I ordered the "Freshly Baked Meidai Kanagane and Coffee Set (550 yen tax included)" and chose the "Nihonbashi Dorayaki Drink Set (550 yen tax included)" with anko mango mochi. I opted for Japanese tea✨The kanagane was indeed freshly baked and warm♪ It was so soft and tender, different from any kanagane I've had before, with a mild sweetness and very delicious✨The coffee was also delicious✨The Nihonbashi dorayaki was accompanied by ham cheese and egg salad, making it a perfect light meal✨The anko mango mochi was slightly warm, and the mochi was stretchy and delicious✨The Japanese tea was served after one minute measured with a small hourglass✨It was beautiful and delicious✨I was recommended to have hot water refills as well✨The staff was very polite and friendly✨Although one male staff member spoke quickly, all the staff, including the salespeople, were cheerful and provided excellent service✨This is a great place for a relaxing break✨

I visited this cafe while exploring the area near Nihonbashi. It used to be an old shop with elderly customers enjoying coffee and meals, but after the renovation, it became a bright and open space with a casual atmosphere. The cafe in the corner also transformed into a bright and inviting place with a menu and atmosphere that seemed easy to use. There were many young customers, and we decided to take a break at a vacant table. We secured our seats first, ordered and paid at the counter. You can also help yourself to water, making it a casual place to take a break. I tried the sweet sake made with sake lees. It had a slight sake lees flavor, but it wasn't overpowering. It was delicious with a good balance of sweetness and flavor, and my husband really liked it. They were selling it in bottles inside the store, but it was too heavy to carry around, so we decided not to buy it that day. My husband chose the sweet red bean soup with milk. It's a warm drink made by combining milk and sweet red bean soup. I took a sip and... the creamy milk and the gentle sweetness of the red beans made for a very comforting and delicious drink. The Nihonbashi dorayaki offered at this cafe seemed to be a popular item, but it was sold out that day. In addition to sweet red bean paste, they also had savory options that could be a light meal. I heard a young woman sadly leaving upon hearing it was sold out. This old Edo-era shop continues to make traditional sweets while actively taking on new challenges in creating new Japanese sweets. I hope they continue to work hard in preserving the tradition of Edo sweets while exploring new endeavors.

Eitaro has a cafe space in the corner of the store where they sell traditional Japanese sweets. I ordered Eitaro's anmitsu parfait (495 yen tax included) and a hot coffee (330 yen tax included) for eat-in. I ordered and paid at the counter. The staff brought my order to my table. The parfait was amazing, with chewy mochi made from cowhide and high-quality vanilla soft serve. It had a good balance of agar jelly, beans, sweet red bean paste, and fruits, so I didn't feel guilty eating it. It even came with a soba bolo, which tasted nostalgic in just one bite. The coffee was nothing special, just average. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

One day, while wandering around Nihonbashi from the Machiya area, I stumbled upon Eitaro-do. Oh, it used to be Eitaro-do main store tea room "Setsugekka" Nihonbashi Honten. The majority of the floor is now occupied by retail items, and I was amazed. There were traditional design candies, as well as new shapes of candies, various flavors, collaboration products... so many interesting things to see! I was drawn to some items that piqued my interest, although I didn't buy them this time, I definitely want to get some next time. The packaging designs are really cute, and there are also Japanese KAWAII items, making them great for small gifts or souvenirs from Nihonbashi. Now, on this hot and humid day, I was looking for something cold to drink... Mikado Coffee was an option, but since I had some time, I decided to go to the cafe inside Eitaro-do. Most items are available for takeout, but there are also a few eat-in only menu items. I chose to dine in. The staff were friendly and welcoming. At the cafe, you order and pay at the register. They accept credit cards and various QR code payments. It's mostly self-service, but they bring your order to your table. I ordered the Eitaro-do Anmitsu Parfait for 495 yen (tax included). You can choose from Umeboshi Ame, Kuro Ame, Amaou Ame, and Honey Lemon Ame. There was a dispenser of ame next to the register. Amazing! It seems they were featured on TV as well. I chose the Kuro Ame, and later two other groups of customers also ordered the same. It was around 3:30 pm on a weekday. They had a limited edition parfait with Shine Muscat grapes from Bokuoka, Yamanashi, in collaboration with Furuta Budou Park. It looked delicious! Now, let's dig in. The Hokkaido Nemuro Soft Serve is so delicious! It's very milky. Oh, so satisfying! Unfortunately, it's starting to melt a bit, maybe because of the temperature. The other toppings include syrup-soaked mandarin orange, pineapple, white peach, and red bean paste. The red bean paste had an interesting texture, slightly firm. It was not overly sweet, very enjoyable. And if you like, they give you a bonus of karinto. I love these little surprises! This one was made with Maruyama Coffee karinto, which has a "floral aroma and chocolate-like richness from blended beans." It was delicious! It had a hint of coffee bitterness and was not too sweet. I almost wanted to buy some to take home. Highly recommended. Oh, and besides the toppings, there are also candies on top. The staff will remind you, but be careful as they are hard. If the red bean paste had been a different color, it would have added more visual appeal, but this is fine as it is. I got lost in the beautiful tin containers they had on display. I'd love to try other items on the menu next time. Thank you for the meal!

I was looking for a place in Nihonbashi that serves breakfast and stumbled upon the stylishly renovated Eitaro Main Store! The café opens at 8 am and offers a breakfast menu. The café has a traditional charm reflecting its 200-year history, but the new modern design from last August is also lovely. The breakfast menu includes coffee, Sayama tea, black honey milk latte, and three food options: Nihonbashi dorayaki (choose from ham and cheese, egg salad, or red bean paste with mochi), Nihonbashi an butter toast, and Nihonbashi anpan. Each comes with a drink set. I ordered the Nihonbashi an butter toast set for 660 yen. While ordering, I noticed a tank of various types of syrup that are used to finish the Eitaro anmitsu parfait sold from 10 am. The toast was crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, made with Maison Kayser bread. It was sweet with a generous amount of red bean paste topped with Calpis butter and served warm. The iced coffee was brewed from a hot machine and served over ice. It was a delightful breakfast, especially for red bean paste lovers. The store also sells products from five different brands like Eitaro and Ameya Eitaro, with separate sections for gifts and traditional sweets. A recommended spot in Nihonbashi!

The renovated longstanding cafe has a small number of seats, but it is clean and the prices are reasonable. It is rare to have freshly made, freshly baked kinako sweets. The shaved ice is a bit small, I prefer a larger size. However, the prices are reasonable. The red bean and matcha flavors are elegant and refreshing, perfect for hot summer days. I had shaved ice and freshly baked kinako sweets for 957 yen. It's worth it.

I went to Eitaro Honpo to buy a souvenir and found a cafe inside. You order at the counter and wait at your table. The menu includes dango, wagashi, anmitsu... and the shaved ice, while slightly small, is priced in the 600 yen range, which is quite reasonable considering the recent inflation in the shaved ice industry. They also serve soft serve ice cream topped with Eitaro's famous candy, which looks delicious. The bright interior has five 4-person tables. The customers range from businessmen discussing business to elderly couples taking a break, and a group of elegant ladies. The items I ordered were the famous Kin-tsuta for 270 yen and cold-brewed Uji tea for 350 yen (excluding tax). They bring the freshly baked Kin-tsuta, so you have to wait about 10 minutes. It was my first time trying Kin-tsuta, and it was hot with plenty of sweet bean paste. Not too sweet, so it was easy to eat. It also had a slight sesame flavor. Even though I don't usually eat Japanese sweets or bean paste, I found it delicious. As a 1st-anniversary renewal special, they served milk karinto as a tea snack. The spacious seating allows for a relaxing break. The staff are all polite and courteous, making it a hidden gem in Nihonbashi at this price point. Thank you for the meal! Likelihood to revisit: ★★★★☆

This is a shop near Coredo Nihonbashi called Eitairoh Sohon-ten, which has been in business for 200 years. I love their plum-flavored candy, so I always keep it stocked at my workplace. The retro and cute tin packaging is also a plus. The triangular shape of the candy is also nice. Although you can find their products in supermarkets and department stores, I had some time before working on a holiday, so I went to buy some for breakfast. The shop is bright and spacious, with a beautiful display. For breakfast, I ordered an an-butter toast set with a drink, choosing Uji tea. The toast was thick and the butter melted nicely. The an-butter toast was hot, so I cooled it down with tea. The sweetness of the anko and butter was refreshing and easy to eat. It paired well with the tea. It was a relaxing and satisfying meal. They also have Wi-Fi, which is great. I also finally bought the plum-flavored candy and a mix of fruit juice candies in a Tanabata-themed box. The staff were all incredibly polite and provided excellent customer service. Let's do our best at work today...

Nihonbashi Anpan costs 250 yen including tax (displayed as 251 yen). If you purchase from both Eitaro and Eachaya for a total of over 2,000 yen including tax, you will receive a miniature figure. It seems like a 400 yen gacha was being sold. The red bean paste is rich with black sugar, but the sesame flavor is refreshing. I wondered if Eitaro could also make bread, and when I checked the back, it was made by Bonne Coure. No wonder it's delicious.

I finished my errands, so I'm having some tea time alone. I stopped by "Nihonbashi Eachaya," a café space in the famous Eitaro Honpo store known for its Japanese sweets. The phrase "Hai Eitarou desu" is still stuck in my head. I bought some peesens and kinzuba before coming here. I tried the "Nihonbashi Dorayaki," ham and cheese sandwich, egg sandwich, and anko mangec mochi. I didn't go for anything too adventurous! The anko mangec mochi cost 308 yen, and I added a cafe latte for 385 yen to make it a drink set. I've always thought that dorayaki is like a pancake! The mangec mochi consists of three pieces of white rice cake sandwiched with anko, and it was surprisingly satisfying. As expected from Eitaro Honpo, the deliciousness of the anko was perfect.

Today, I went to the café at "Eitaro Main Store" in Nihonbashi, where a new sweet treat was being released. "Eitaro Main Store" is a long-established Japanese confectionery shop located in Nihonbashi. This time, I visited the café attached to the shop. In preparation for the 203rd anniversary on April 28, 2021, the "Founding Festival" will feature the release of new products over three weeks at the café "Nihonbashi E-Chaya." Starting today, the "Nihonbashi Dorayaki Trio" is being released. I ordered the three varieties of dorayaki: Ham & Cheese, Egg Salad, and Red Bean Paste Mochi. The dorayaki can only be enjoyed in the café. I ordered all three varieties and they were brought to my table once ready. The dorayaki was delicious and I enjoyed the unique flavors of each variety. The café also offers a drink set with the dorayaki, and I chose the Egg Salad dorayaki with coffee. The coffee, blended by a coffee expert, complemented the sweetness of the dorayaki well. Overall, the dorayaki and coffee set was a delightful treat. This café is a hidden gem in the Nihonbashi area, perfect for a relaxing break during your visit.
