On the way to Kiyomizu Temple, we got hungry after passing lunchtime. While looking for a good restaurant, we found a Japanese restaurant on the second floor of a souvenir shop. It seemed like a typical chain restaurant serving Japanese cuisine. I ordered the tempura set, my wife had the matcha tempura soba, my son had a mini unagi donburi and soba set, and my daughter had the tempura udon. The food was reasonably priced and the quality was just right. They recommended eating the oboro tofu with salt, but be careful not to put too much.

During Golden Week, Shimizu was crowded with people. We managed to find a seat on the spacious second floor. The prices were reasonable compared to touristy areas. The service was quick, which was helpful for our next destination. The tofu was delicious.

I stopped by on my way back from Kiyomizu-dera Temple. It is located next to the Kyoto City parking lot, with souvenir sales on the first floor and a restaurant on the second floor. Since it is a tourist spot, I think the prices are a bit high.

I was able to eat here, but it was expensive and I didn't feel full. It's near Kiyomizu Temple, so there are a lot of customers. It seems like there are many tour groups. The portion was small and there wasn't anything particularly delicious. Maybe it's because it's in Kyoto, but the prices were high. I wish I had eaten something better since it's near Kiyomizu Temple. Well, they had a decent menu at least. The first floor is a souvenir shop and the restaurant is on the second floor. I won't visit this place again next time I go to Kyoto.
